I love the Royal Bahamian and make it a priority to go at least once a year. I never really hang by the pools because the ocean is so beautiful and what I’m really there for. Food and service is amazing. Everything I need or want is right there and I don’t have to walk miles with a map to figure out anything. The island is my favorite spot and spend most of my time there. At night we regularly go to the Fish Fry in Nassau, Atlantis casino or restaurants or Baha Mar. you can get to Exuma to swim with pigs from there. It is a day excursion with multiple snorkel stops along the way. Safe travels all!
Staying at the Royal Bahamian, I realized almost immediately that I wasn't going to be spending much time at the main pool/beach during the day because it was it was a party/loud ( but don't miss the foam party day), I ended up going to the island every single day to relax and then went to all the fancy restaurants during the night.
Love the channel. Please go visit remaining Sandals resorts you did not go to during your Ultimate Caribbean Honeymoon Tour and do video tours and reviews for them as well!
Hi guys. My husband and I will be at EB feb 2023, our 4th trip there. There is no seaweed on the beach. Some washes up during the night, but they do an amazing job of cleaning it up. So your experience is def due to the time of year. Great video! \
We are literally at Emerald Bay right now watching this video. And the beach is clear and absolutely beautiful! We are swimming with the Pigs tomorrow morning at 9am. We have a candlelight dinner planned in about an hour here. Thanks for sharing your video!
Emerald Bay is better....because Great Exuma is one of the most beautiful places on earth-equal to places in the South Pacific IMHO. Unfortunately, Sandals closed EB in Aug, and will be reopening it as a Beaches branded resort in the future.
Hello Dan and Michelle! Well we won’t be going there as Honeymooners but our 30 th wedding anniversary isn’t far away and now I WANT TO SWIM WiTH PIGS! 🐷 Is that weird to celebrate an anniversary? We will definitely be working with your business to plan this! So for us we choose Emerald Bay! Love all your Caribbean content! It’s what you guys do …. And you’re amazing at it! Thanks for the great video! Cheers! Monique and Doug
We have been debating on going to Emerald Bay or Royal Bahamian next year, likely May/June/July time frame. The problem I have with Emerald Bay is that they are charging SOOOOOO much more than Royal Bahamian, for a more outdated resort, yes, looks like way way better pools and beach than Royal Bahamian, but I can only anticipate it will be financially doable for us if I can find a good 777 deal for here at Emerald Bay. I hope the prices come down! Great video, though, thanks!
Thanks for making this video! My husband and I have stayed at the Royal Bahamian and have been considering Emerald Bay but have heard they have sand fleas. Did you experience this on your stay? Thanks in advance!
We only noticed it while eating at the restaurant in the sand at night, they did have bug spray for us so just make sure to use it as you walk in. I didn’t notice during the day, but also didn’t spend a ton of time at the beach.
I sure like the butler idea and that he brings you surprise food...Love that! Oh, and the pigs! Now that is a unique opportunity!! Happy New Year...❤Portugal!
Hello. Thanks for this video. Very helpful. Question, if you stay at Royal Bahamian , can you take a side trip to swim with the pigs at the other resort? Thank you.
I don't think you would have enough time to do that in a day. It does require a plane ride to get there. But, I think other companies have created swimming-with-pig experiences on other islands closer to Royal Bahamian so you can get a similar experience.
Of the two, and/or out of all Sandals- which would you recommend for an elopement? My fiancé and I already know we want something private. Our kind of honeymoon looks like relaxation on the beach, and swimming in ocean- not the pools. We have a pool at home, we want ocean! Maybe an excursion or two. We love Sandals for being all-inclusive dining, but really it’s about the scenery, privacy, romance.. 💘 and anyone can comment 🙂
How do people afford to become full time travel bloggers? The prices at Sandals are madness (and I say that as someone who went on honeymoon with Sandals) 😮
Yeah, the most amazing thing about Sandals is that they come with their money and conquer the land and resources from the locals. That's how in Jamaica for example, locals left without beaches in some areas, as all the beaches are private now, and belong to resorts. Just something to think of beautiful people ❤
Hi FlowerPower, this is something we have thought about because I prefer our $ and promotion would go more to local companies. Unfortunately resorts that are locally owned are very rare and even if locals do not own the resorts, the Caribbean depend on tourism for their economy, employing locals. So at a minimum at least Sandals was founded by someone who was Jamaican born, they have a foundation that seeks to give back to the Caribbean, and they invest in the people’s education in the Caribbean which is self serving, but at least they do it. Not that they are perfect, but they are doing more that a Marriott, Hilton etc..
Thanks Jamaicans for not having the ability to build a beautiful resort and allowing Sandels to build a resort and give jobs to the locals who otherwise wouldn't have a job.
@@HoneymoonAlways I can speak for Emerald Bay....it's a public beach. Also, Sandals is the largest employer of locals in Great Exuma. The locals are glad they're there. Trust me.

Let us know which of these you'd stay at!
Love the video. My only question is. Did they stamp your passport?
Yes, entering the Bahamas they stamp your passport

What better way to spend an anniversary than with swimming pigs!

Thanks for the video! my husband and I are in our early-mid thirties. Are there all different ages at Sandals you visited or more of an older crowd?
There’s a mix at most resorts. The quieter resorts are a bit older, like Royal Plantation and Halcyon.
How much do these resorts cost? All inclusive? Both look really nice!
Hi Tamara, they are around $400 per person per night and are all inclusive of food, drinks, tips and most on resort activities.
I sure like the butler idea and that he brings you surprise food...Love that! Oh, and the pigs! Now that is a unique opportunity!! Happy New Year...❤Portugal!

You can still go. And visit the pigs from the royal Bahamian right?

For that, I’d pick Emerald Bay
Does the hotel take you to the water park
No, but they can call a taxi for you.
I am curious how much it was to take the flight cost from the Royal Bahamian to the Emerald Bay?
Check with Bahamasair
No way I would risk the Bahamas in the cooler months

All Caribbean beaches are public beaches. This is just not true. Sandals beaches are not private.

Aside from the fact the family that owns Sandals ARE local Jamaicans.
