I just ordered these after buying and returning my first pair of lone peaks. I found the lone peaks felt like the upper was not that secure on the sole. It didn’t feel safe hiking over logs etc. I’m hoping these are better. The wide toe box is a must.
Nice looking shoe. It does look a lot like the Lone Peak. The laces look very thick. I like the idea of 3mm drop. I currently use 4mm in Speedgoat. I think Vibram is best outsole out there.
I almost ordered the phantom 3 yesterday but went with another pair of Torins. I tried the phantom 2 last year but it seemed a little short so I want to find a place where I can try on the phantom 3’s to make sure I get the right size.
I don't think you can go wrong with either shoe. I also think they are very comparable. I am a long time Torin customer, but I am starting to run more in Topo's as well. We sell Topo's at the store that I work at, so I don't own the Phantoms but have tried them on and have listened to the positive feedback from customers.
Not sure if you ever did an update on these but how did they work out? Are they good for trail running or would they be really just a hiking shoe which is hot they kinda advertising for like through hikers so I’m just curious how many miles you put on them do you like them, any feelings about them or maybe I’ll look and maybe you already did that video
I don't have a lot of miles yet (about 60 miles). They are probably my favorites right now for trail running or hiking. I just have not been making it to the trails very often. So far, I have really enjoyed the fit and the outsole grip.
I've used LP for years. Just put 600 miles on a pair of Topo's. I will be buying more Topo's
I still don't have many miles on my Topo trail shoes. I have high hopes, really liking them so far.
この4のグレーの色合いは絶妙で大人の男でも若い人でも似合う最高のカラーリングだと思います。
I like the gray color as well. Thank you for watching!
Hey Jay! They look like some great running shoes! Looking forward to your comprehensive review as you log more miles.
Thank you for watching, Mihai! I am enjoying them so far.

I have not had an issue with my Lone Peaks, however, I do think the upper on the Terraventures do seem a bit tougher. I hope they work for you!
Thanks for sharing
Thank you, Naomi!!!
Awesome review Jay!
Thank you for watching, Nick!!

I love the wide toebox and the Vibram outsole.
Hopefully, the midsole will last.

The 10.1 oz is for a size 9, according to the website, so of course yours is gonna be heavier.
I am getting 11.8 ounces in men's size 11.5 on my scale.
My Lone Peak 7's come in at 11.9 in a men's size 11.5, so very comparable.
How's the sizing (length) compared to Altra?
Pretty similar, I wear the same size in both.
Hi, I just got my first pair of terraventure 4. I was wondering if there is an insole that works with this shoe for extra cushion. Any suggestions?
I don't really have a suggestion. I am just using the insoles that came with them.
I used to use Spenco insoles to add cushioning.
