Hamas offered to release the hostages on Oct 9 in exchange for no invasion of Gaza. Israel rejected this. The return of hostages is clearly not Israel's priority. Israel demands a "final solution" for Palestinians. The people they pretend never existed ( a land without a people) do exist. Israeli colonial settlers have displaced and excluded them from their homes and land physically and politically. For them to not exist is what Israel finds acceptable, and somehow, these people don't want to do what Israel wants them to do and disappear. The pre-eminent obstacle to peace is Israel's colonisation of Palestine.

You don't have to pay the cost for failing to address the cause of this conflict but for your own pleasure you feel like you get dictate it.
Diplomacy is not a solution. The only way to end the cycle of violence between Palestine and Israel is that Palestine is finally brought to heel, crushing both their ability to wage war and most importantly their willingness to do so. This means removing the terrorist government they selected and forcing them to integrate with Israel. Not everything can be talked out or bought out as history has shown us sometimes you have to settle matters by force.
