"Tom's Diner" is actually a song from the 80's that had this sound back then. The original was by Suzanne Vega. Then FOB sampled that sound and used that it. This is a cover of the original "Tom's Diner" so of course it'll have the same sound. If someone copied it would be FOB.

Britney is not sampling Fall Out Boy. Britney is doing a (pretty awesome!) cover of the original "Tom's Diner" by the great Suzanne Vega. The well-known "da-da-da-da" chorus is a PART of the song.
Fall Out Boy is the one who sampled Suzanne Vega's song--they only took the "da-da-da" portion of it though.
Now do yourself a favor, search the original "Tom's Diner" on UA-cam and enjoy the genius who is the original mastermind behind this song! So glad that Suzanne Vega's music is getting exposed to a new generation! :o)
