I agree that both bags are beautiful, however, despite the price, both are day bags, not evening bags for a formal occasion.

I think for a special order I would go for the sellier, you can choose togo leather for the sellier special order Otherwise they are mostly epsome and I don't really like epsome. The gaining is embossed on epsome what I don't like and it's not so good to fix at the hermes spa while togo and clemence are easily repaired. I like to touch up the corners of my bags every now and then. So for regular offers I would need to get the retourne. Amazing video as always dear ❤️

Actually, graces bag was a Kelly 35 in box leather in the retourne style. And the HAC has been around longer. Which is essentially a Birkin.
I adore that Ostrich Kelly, the colour and size is divine.

Right now if I had the option of purchasing one or the other I would 100% go for the Sellier mainly because The only Hermes bag I own is the Garden Party bag and therefore would love the more structured gorgeous Kelly, but truthfully can not justify the price tag at this stage of my life , if I was 30 years younger I would definitely make the investment which is exactly what these beautiful bags are. An investment ladies!

I’m pretty sure Grace Kelly’s bag was retourne. As far as I know retourne came first than the sellier.
Retourne (inside stitching/turned inside out) is the original way Hermes has always done it.
Check photos more of Grace Kelly’s bag.
Even the HAC which came first than the Birkin or Kelly or Sac a Depeches always had retourne stitching.
The sellier stitching from what I’ve seen was only introduced in the late 80’s to early 90’s.
Search up photos of Grace Kelly’s bag and you’ll see it’s retourne.
The Blonde Avenue can you name your source? I’m sorry but it’s pretty wrong. You can even google recent photos of Grace Kelly’s original bag up for auction or display. It’s like a brown box calf or might be barenia, and it’s in retourne stitching

I wanted another sellier, but the roominess of a retourne makes the bag much more practical and accessible for everyday use. I hope you and baby are doing well as can be!

I got the retourne cause everyone said it was a lot more laid bag and versatile. But I’ve quickly realized I’m more of a structured bag kind of girl even tho I was lucky enough to get the retourne in my dream leather, color and hardware ( Kelly 32, gold with GHW). I’m considering selling it at this point ☹️
