  • Welcome to my knitting podcast in English 🤎!
I'm coming to you from the Netherlands and my English is far from perfect. But hey ... isn't it all about the knitting and crochet?! So I'll give it a try and hope that some practice gives me more confidence. I enjoy all the inspiration in the worldwide knitting community so much and I would love to share mine with you.

Hi Sarah! I have been watching every one of your podcasts starting with #20 and I am so happy to have found you!!! I have looked and looked for a knitting podcast to watch and thought I had found one a few weeks ago but no, it wasn’t what I was looking for. You are delightful, funny, talented, and your podcast is exactly what I had in mind! You asked about a crochet podcast and Bag O Day Crochet is my favorite. I love the way she teaches and also I love to watch her unbox new yarn. She loves all things yarn AND her favorite color is brown!!! I hope you check out her channel. Thank you for making English podcasts and for making me smile!💗🧶

Dear Sarah, try to purl with a smaller needlesize then you knit with.. If you have interchangable cables.. One needlesize bigger then the other.. Try it! :))

Once again, your English is beautiful. When you question yourself about a word, you immediately find the correct word. I bet next year you won't even have to think when you speak English. I really am amazed at your language skills (and knitting and crochet skills too)!

Back again, lol! The weather in Chicago has been cool the last couple of days which is great. I believe fall will be hear soon, yahoo! So tried of the heat.
I have a couple more podcast for you to check out. All on UA-cam.

    B.Hooked Crochet and Knitting
    Bella Coco
Caroline For The Love of Crochet
    Carftably Ever After

Like you, I knit and Crochet. I love doilies or thread crochet. I'm currently repairing a crocheted tablecloth my Grandmother made and knitting Metamorphic. I watch podcasts and take notes while working on my projects.
By the way, your English is beautiful! Waiting patiently for your next podcast and getting ready to go camping in the north woods of Wisconsin. You call it a caravan and we say RV/camper. Something else we have in common.

    • @itisasarah
      @itisasarah  Рік тому +1

Thank you for that long list Diane! Here a camper is something which can drive on is own and a caravan is a little mobile home (is that the word maybe?) you pull forward with your car. Enjoy fall 🌿

Sometimes the names we call things is as interesting as our knitting or crocheting. Your camper is called a motorhome here and your caravan is an rv/camper/hybrid/trailer. Lol, four words to your one. We have a caravan!

I always love to come & sit with you for a chat about what you are making. Your podcast is so cosy & welcoming that I forget myself and really feel that I must be right there for a little while. Personally, I think that is a hallmark of a very engaging experience! My daughter Natalja is so inspired to make a granny square cardigan like yours! I don’t do crochet, so I am just hoping she will make one for me, too!

Loving your fun and informative podcast. You have as much trouble with english words as we do who have it as a first language so don’t worry. Your knitting IS getting neater. Also, when you are learning something new whether it is the english or now trying to ease your tension and knitting on your tips, you do a lot of concentration on your fingers and hands and you get very tense in your shoulders. That might be why it is sore. You need to be conscious of letting your shoulders relax as you knit. I absolutely love your granny square cardi. It looks so good on you.

I am so delighted to find your podcast in English! The translation option on UA-cam is not always accurate or easy to follow, but that is what I was using previously for your videos. Your English is "spot on", believe me, you are very competent in English. I daresay I cannot speak a word of Dutch, so you're way ahead of me there! I love, love, love your Granny cardi; I especially love that it is fitted. To paraphrase you, it makes my heart leap! I must make one for myself. Hugs from Texas 😍😍😍 Barbara

Your sweater turned out so well! I think the word you wanted was straps for your top. I get confused too with English and American terms for crochet. Have you ever seen cherry heart pod cast? She does other crafts as well but crocheting is her first passion. Oh she has a tutorial on weaving in ends.

Sarah, the last link doesn`t work for some reason. Where can we find you on Raverly? What is your user name there? I would love to add you as a friend.
Wonderful podcast as always. Loved it so much. It is very entertaining. 🙂
Love the cardigan you wear. It looks a lot better when tighter in fit. I saw the original pattern on Ravelry and it is a lot more loose fitting on the model. But tighter is better in this case.

P.S. You know what my greataunt always brought me from Holland when I was little? Hagelslag 🙂lol. I love that stuff. We used to sprinkle it on buttered bread. No worries about calories back in the day, lol. 🙂
