As far as my understanding shukriya lounge doesn't mean "thank you lounge" as mentioned in sub titles. Perhaps the lounge has been named after SHUKRIYA KHANUM, the first female pilot of PIA who obtained pilot license but could not operate commercial flight as per then aviation laws rather served PIA as flight instructor n on-ground pilot. Check Google for more details.

Aircraft needs a new paint, seems they haven't repainted aircraft since 2008. IFEs need upgrade, this also seems from 2008. The seat is definitely not business class, PIA has been told not to use business class term for it, instead they use "Executrive Economy" in international books. To qualify for a full business class, the seat must be a flat bed seat.
The maintenance is not upto the level & aircraft is showing it's age, while if you sit in 777-2XX of other carriers they have maintained it so good that a 15 years old aircraft looks new. PIA needs to a lot more to re-gain trust.

Great video! 777 is an amazing aircraft! How was the landing? PIA used to be: Great People to Fly With in 80's when used to travel a lot with my parents. All Love for PIA, Yet, it should be up to the mark!
Good coverage but how come PIA pilots allow or invite its passengers inside their cockpit ? Is it allowed under CAA Regulations or PIA Safety procedures ??
Yes sir the captain has authority to invite people to be seated on the jumpseat thats a rule in aviation around the world

That is incorrect, only people access cockpit are the crew or anyone jump seat qualified, like reserve pilots or flight attendants, no civilian should have access to flight deck.
@@abbasinaved each country's CAA has different rules. The USA's FAA says no person under the authority is allowed in the cockpit. Pakistan's CAA says that as long as the person is trusted, they are allowed.
This is a comparatively better maintained interior as compared to the airplanes PIA use on Karachi to Toronto flights. I believe the aircrew you flew with were also very welcoming. I got scolded by aircrew on PIA Toronto to Karachi for taking a picture of myself in my seat without anyone else being in view. PIA needs to hire an experienced businessman as their CEO instead of retired you know Who's. And only then they can compete with other airlines today. Only reason to chose PIA over other airlines on Khi to Yyz is because there is no other direct flight when you have an emergency. Or else other carriers are cheaper and far better service and comfort regardless of class.
I agree to you, most of there aircrafts are scary & about the crew as well they seem to be coming with fierce fight with the passengers, i was also warned about the selfie scenario, but i scolded him back telling him its got nothing to do with anyone & being a customer its my own wish!!!... finally it was sorted in some smiles!!

This is a B777. It is mostly used as a passenger aircraft by airlines. The B777's used by PIA range from 14-19 years old and are some of the safest aircraft flying today. Pakistan's CAA rules that any person trusted by the cockpit crew or airline is allowed in the cockpit.
