    Can you please interview the Mzungu that is making most of the money off the restaurant. The Jeews dont allow the Germans to setup shop at there museums, some things should be off limits to the Mzungu period.

    Its a good balance as long as the historical and cultural integrates are preserved and maintained but I would disagree with serving any alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises ,however their should be a boutique shop selling Ghana;s finest liquors for visitors to take with them. After all it's an historical site not a bar. It is my understanding that one needs a sober mind for clear reflection. If any liquor is poured on that site it should be for libations only! "Respect due! " The restaurant was a great idea.. I agree with monetizing the traffic that flows through Elmina! So much potential .........................

    I feel it is a disrespectful. Imagine someone chaining and selling your parents and grandparents in this spot. Then you see years later a restaurant and bar there people eating and drinking instead of praying and pouring libations to the ancestors slain. The ground is scared in your eyesight. How would it feel?

      My Brotha having a restaurant where Afrikans were housed and transported like animals and that the principal owner is not the Kat you're interviewing the principals investor/owner is an Ancestor of the europeans/colonizer who caused what is known as the most atrocious crime against human kind. This land where the Afrikan men women and children were treated inhumanely should be accepted as a SHRINE . The way this restaurant is advertised is a disrespectful show of white privilege. This place is called a dungeon because of the pain and suffering experienced by the enslaved Afrikans by the euroean colonizers. Very disappointed in your approach to this story. 💔
      Now will you report on the concerns of the Afrikans here in gonna who are organizing to shut down there restaurant. That would be an objective approach that you can consider

    Nice little spot. I also like that they intended it to be a place to "reflect" AND the fact a Ghanian owns it...not an outsider. That's important.

      No your info about the owner is not correct, the principal owner is not a Ghanaian. The Kat who is interviewed is not the principal owner, the ancestor of the colonizer is the principal owner. Fact check matters

  • @zalegna
    @zalegna 2 місяці тому +2

    It just doesn't mean the same to the principle groups involved; simple as that. Descendants of enslaved/returnees are going to have a very different reaction than the locals.
    Me being a direct descendent of enslaved persons finds this incredibly offensive and outright disrespectful. But when money is involved my opinion matters naught. It's a sad reality on so many fronts, because when you know better you should do better.
