Loving this . When I come back I will check out this Restaurant.
u should surely give it a try
Can you please interview the Mzungu that is making most of the money off the restaurant. The Jeews dont allow the Germans to setup shop at there museums, some things should be off limits to the Mzungu period.
pls what is a mzungu
WHITE BOY@@EkowSimpson
@@EkowSimpson Stop playing stupid little boy!!!
It's indeed a nice place to relax and they're food is really delicious 😋 and love they're pizza 🍕 too.
it is
thanks for the recommendation, i will keep it in mind!
U are welcome 🙏
Its a good balance as long as the historical and cultural integrates are preserved and maintained but I would disagree with serving any alcoholic beverages for consumption on premises ,however their should be a boutique shop selling Ghana;s finest liquors for visitors to take with them. After all it's an historical site not a bar. It is my understanding that one needs a sober mind for clear reflection. If any liquor is poured on that site it should be for libations only! "Respect due! " The restaurant was a great idea.. I agree with monetizing the traffic that flows through Elmina! So much potential .........................
thanks for the honest feedback
So agreed with you, serving alcohol to me there would not be respectful, also some people goes overboard and may have problems with alcohol.
Great 👍
That's a very nice place. I need to visit there
I visited Elmina Castle on Thursday Feb. 15 2024. What an eye opening experience. Horrible how our ancestors were treated there.
❤ Am first to watch great one bro
hahaha welcome my brother
Another great video..not sure if you offer tours there but also we would be able to offer tours to elimina dungeon for beyond the return experience
thank you for been here and the support and yes u offer tours
Of course seeing over you help a lot of those from abroad become familiar with your hometown is amazing knowing they are in good hands that's why I would love to work with you on this project
I feel it is a disrespectful. Imagine someone chaining and selling your parents and grandparents in this spot. Then you see years later a restaurant and bar there people eating and drinking instead of praying and pouring libations to the ancestors slain. The ground is scared in your eyesight. How would it feel?
I saw another video that said a white man co-owned, or owned this restaurant?
We have to tell the story our way and the best way
Also saw that video and I was extremely disturbed
yes@@shirleygrant8989
@EkowSimpson
My Brotha having a restaurant where Afrikans were housed and transported like animals and that the principal owner is not the Kat you're interviewing the principals investor/owner is an Ancestor of the europeans/colonizer who caused what is known as the most atrocious crime against human kind. This land where the Afrikan men women and children were treated inhumanely should be accepted as a SHRINE . The way this restaurant is advertised is a disrespectful show of white privilege. This place is called a dungeon because of the pain and suffering experienced by the enslaved Afrikans by the euroean colonizers. Very disappointed in your approach to this story. 💔
Now will you report on the concerns of the Afrikans here in gonna who are organizing to shut down there restaurant. That would be an objective approach that you can consider
. What do you mean please
This is absolutely abominable....our ancestors blood was shed here, sweat, tears and all. You can still smell the stench of excrement in the chambers. And some idiots thought it was a great idea to put a restaurant there?!?! I'm personally offended!!😡😡😡
There should have been a cold storage that is powered by the sun there
It is in Ghana, what you did not mention.
yes it is in Ghana
Nice little spot. I also like that they intended it to be a place to "reflect" AND the fact a Ghanian owns it...not an outsider. That's important.
very important brother
He has an European partner and he’s not telling the full truth. If an European is involved, the restaurant needs to move out. It’s disrespectful and insensitive.
Look at you @@zerosumgame3722
@@zerosumgame3722 Hmm, that is a bit insensitive but hopefully black people are inspired to partner for these types of projects in the future. Success favors the swift and not every decision maker will share our same sensitivity.
No your info about the owner is not correct, the principal owner is not a Ghanaian. The Kat who is interviewed is not the principal owner, the ancestor of the colonizer is the principal owner. Fact check matters
It just doesn't mean the same to the principle groups involved; simple as that. Descendants of enslaved/returnees are going to have a very different reaction than the locals.
Me being a direct descendent of enslaved persons finds this incredibly offensive and outright disrespectful. But when money is involved my opinion matters naught. It's a sad reality on so many fronts, because when you know better you should do better.
It a nice place
yes it is my brother and they are doing their best
Why didn't the brother tell the truth that a yurugu is really the owner of this disrespectful place. Im told the yurugu is the owner of Lemon Beach resort who was recently enstooled.
Because of $$$$$$$$$$$
Kwasia. It is called the ELMINA CASTLE not dungeon. Why do you let these foreigners tell you to change names of places? The nexr time they will tell you who to talk to and who not to talk to.
hahahaha no one told me to call it that way but I prefer to use that , thanks for the comment bro , medase nyame nhyira wo
@@EkowSimpson Show us a single Ghana history book in which the ELMINA CASTLE is referred to as the ELMINA DUNGEON?
@@EkowSimpson As a teacher, will you be teaching your pupils that that building is called the ELMINA DUNGEON even if in their history books it is clearly stated the ELMINA CASTLE? Don't you know you will be confusing the kids? Me kyir nkwasea ns3m na ab)dam ahy3si.
Oh please ghanians never called it elminw castle. It was colonizers who called that place like that. FOREIGNERS. And the fact you do not understand why people call it dungeons its crazy. Why call it a castle when slaves were locked there?
