I disagree. I have owned 11- 6 cyl aircooled Porsches, 3 912s, and 5 356s, including a 1963 2000GS, 4 cam. A healthy 912- any year- is reasonably quick and an absolute blast to drive, especially when well sorted. 912s will not keep up with same year 911s, but they are super sporty on their own.
