thank you! i definitely had a bit of fun with the sounds in this one 😅 (the dulcimer in particular is from the Roland JV-1080, which has quite a few patches with cool/interesting effects)
Adding anologue-y sounding synth stuff into more organic sounding acoustic stuff is something I've been experimenting a lot more with lately, and you did it super well in this piece. Really neat! Have you been hired to do any game soundtracks before or anything like that?
thank you for the lovely comment! it's cool to hear that you're exploring this type of thing in your music too. combining synths with other rompler-y or acoustic sounds can lead to some very interesting results/possibilities :-) to answer your question, some of my music has been in a few non-commercial projects like Super Mario World romhacks or other fangames. but at least for the moment, i'm mostly content making music for fun and personal projects. (that said, i would love to make my own small game + soundtrack sometime soon....)
just found out about your channel through this track and I’ve been listening to your older stuff as well. i think you have a shit ton of potential and im grateful to have been recommended your stuff, will definitely be keeping tabs on your music going forward! ps. it’d be really cool if there was a way to download all your music (though I completely understand if that’s too much work), i’m an audiophile but im sure im not the only one who doesn’t like how youtube and soundcloud (to a lesser but still noticeable degree) affects a track’s mix and quality
i appreciate the kind words, thank you so much!! re: downloading my music, i do intend to compile my 2022-2023 stuff into an album that i'll probably release on bandcamp sometime in the first few months of 2024, as a pay-what-you-want download. i'll remember to make a post in the Community tab of my channel when this happens! (that said, if there's a specific song or few songs you'd like before then, i would be okay with uploading them to dropbox and sharing a link to them.)
this is spectacular. really great sound selection. love that hammered dulcimer-sounding sample and all the synths toward the end.

Could be a Lost Magic track.
Very nice.
I'm always baffled to stumble uppon such good music with next to no audience. It's not very encouraging.
so good!!
Amazing Per Usual
Secret of Mana vibes in there.
I didn't know you were still uploading on UA-cam
I love you
