This trilogy showed me three important things: 1. Heidi is underrated. She's really talented and deserves to be in music full time, no exceptions; 2. JP is incredible as an actor and he should really explore this side of his work. I never thought he could roleplay like this; 3. I'm thankful for cliffhangers.
But i think it actually is The Gods Speak because of Zuberoa and Hietala together. Even if its out of Dark Sarah, I just need to hear Charlotte, Hietala and Heidi together please
Get you a man who stares as intensely at you as Dragon stares at Sarah. But in all honesty, gorgeous as always. I am beyond amazed at your talent as usual. 💜💜
A fantastic death sequence! Listening to the album, I thought at first that Dark Sarah was calling out to the Dragon. But after reading the story online, I realized that Sarah is reaching out to her Dark self, who somehow knew of her impending death after the white spears. This is such a gorgeous song/moment of when Dark Sarah and Sarah eclipse. This video was a pleasant surprise in my email! In it, Dark Sarah and the Dragon have a final moment, and his look at 4:20---that seems to me the face of a man/dragon that regrets. I'm incredibly impressed by Heidi's performance here. She (and the band of course!) were able to effortlessly create a very beatific and bittersweet atmosphere. And the dragon, singing what's practically her eulogy--oh man! (Spoilers?) I may just be geeking out over the storyline here, but I find it ironic that in the Underworld, the dragon's question to Dark Sarah was: "What is stronger than death?" (She, perhaps wiser than he, was able to figure it out as "love.") And then in this album, the Dragon almost solved his own riddle while he was her companion. Almost. And he hurts her because of it. I won't lie; I was really hoping Dark Sarah and the Dragon would find redemption and love together. [Dark Sarah and the Dragon would have been the perfect complement to the love between Light Sarah and the Moon]. But creatures of the dark are rarely able to keep a straight course. So it makes sense that the Dragon fell back on his old ways and thus Dark Sarah cursed him with her memory. But I'm also not sure that the Dragon has made his final choice yet. In this video, he hadn't used the time turner yet, and then the last track on the album is of time rewinding... Oh sweet cliffhanger. I'm excited to see where the next album takes us! Thank you for sharing your video and album with us~
I agree, that look the Dragon gives at 4:20 looks like massive regret. I think there may be a surprise yet from the Dragon, but who knows? I'm still in awe of how powerful this song is! It's quite possibly the heaviest song I have ever heard that has no metal in it. Dark Sarah's plaintive cries of "I'm cold, I'm cold" really tears me up emotionally.
@@michaelsexton7956 maybe it's just me, but it's interesting to hear her sing that in a way that suggests she doesn't wanT to be cold or wants to get away from it... 'cause in the story book, she talked about how she had been given to power to be cold and to take revenge? Maybe im jumping hoops but I can't help getting excited for such an awesome story
This whole song and video is so haunting. I actually teared up when JP started singing. He's so incredible at portraying the Dragon's emotions, both with his voice and his facial expressions.
In Grim, J.P. sings as the wolf in “The Wolf and the Maiden”. Was he the Dragon’s former self before he became the dragon and that is why he had such a strong connection with Dark Sarah? I like to think that Dragon uses the time turner “hee hee, a little Harry Potter humor” and will go back in time to Sarah’s wedding and he will be the one Sarah runs away with and leaves her finance at the altar.
@Karl C Exactly! As a storyline, it lends itself to something bigger than what we'll ever see in a few music videos, and as it's already symphonic/operatic, it wouldn't take much changing. It would just need to be edited right.
:) well i just read an interview, Heidi has said she would be all for this to happen, "It would need a big pile of money, and the right people around us, to make it happen, and i'm all in "" she has said....

On first hearing, the title track sent shivers up my spine. Music for me is all about creating something magic and this beautiful lady Heidi has the formula to produce it time and time again. Simply breathtaking.
I wish that more people could hear all this songs an enjoy them, but I feel really grateful that I'm part of this fandom, cause this is pure art!! Their voices are extraordinary and the way they express the feelings of the songs are really beautiful that makes you connect with the story really easy. Everything is so precious and inspiring. Thank you for this music that reminds you that pure talent speaks for itself. ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful yet sad. This song had me in tears. Out of all the songs from Dark Sarah, this song speaks to me. It reveals feelings I have towards someone. Someone I can never spend the rest of my life with because they’re afraid due to bad relationship experiences. It’s hard when you start growing feelings but nothing can develop any further. You see the difficulty and can’t handle the tremendous amount of heartache weighing on your chest. So you go for the sake of ending the pain that’s grown unbearable.
This is my analysis or synopsis about the story (*spoilers*), but you can tell me if I'm wrong. Sarah sold her soul to the Queen of Serpents after a series of tragedies, thinking that she's better off with a heart of stone, without emotions. However she realizes what caused her tragedies in the first place (the tree) gets enraged and attacks it, but is nearly killed herself. She probably lies in a coma somewhere, or in a vegetative state. But since Sarah sold her soul, Queen of Serpents doesn't allow her to die fully, and Dark Sarah is split from her, a daring woman with a heart of stone, the opposite of Sarah that she wished to be. Dark Sarah is the one who carries Sarah's soul for the Queen, and thus she's the one to experience being between life and death - the world over and under world instead of the middle world, the world of the living. She meets the Dragon who carries the key to her return in middle world, but he also needs the key to return to his full form, how he used to be. The watch he carries symbolizes his days, and to use the key with the watch will achieve his goal. She steals the key while he's sleeping and the Dragon realizes what she's doing (Dance With the Dragon). She manages to leave the Dragon's place, but Dragon follows her until he convinces her to team with him (Trespasser, Sky Sailing). Both of their souls are darkened - they realize they need each other for the moment and perhaps even grow to like each other, but only for the ulterior motives, since there's only one key. When she explains to Dragon what happened to her, he answers that neither Sarah, Dark or Light would exist without each other, despite Dark Sarah wants to destroy Sarah for reminding her about her weaknesses. When they finally meet the gods (The Gods Speak), they are furious and unforgiving and want to take the life of Dark Sarah. The Dragon tries to help her at first, but then he takes the key back while she struggles. Dark Sarah screams for betrayal before she's killed with the white spears. And for this song (Golden Moth) the victorious Dragon watches the soul of Dark Sarah, and Sarah's also, fly away as a golden moth since that is the form the souls in the over world. The moth of Dark Sarah flies back to Sarah ("towards the sun"), but she's feeling cold - Dark Sarah was Sarah's last hope in returning to life and if she dies so must Sarah, because of what Dragon told her. They're joined again as whole ("but here I am now with you and your mind"), as one in death's release. Dragon uses the key on his watch. Their alliance caused freedom to them both, but in an ironic, twisted fate in which they both were tied together.
I still think that dragon still has some regrets for basically sacrificing his friend to win his wings back... despite the "dark hearts" both still have a their conscience left in some way.
It's really amazing song, amazing video and amazing ending! I want to cry when I hear these words "Is it you, is it you? I´m cold, I´m cold." Thank you so much Dark Sarah for giving those emotions!!! ♥♥♥
Honestly this is the most amazing album. The lyrics, how you both sang them with such passion, then the amazing videos. I am hooked for life. Ill be on my death bed literally listening to this song in a bittersweet joy. Like 70 years from now. Still. Nothing is gonna beat the meaning of this story saga ever, or the beauty of your voices.
I just noticed the black veil Sarah lifts from her face just at the beginning. Still part of a mourner's garb in many funerals, and uniquely appropriate in the Chronicles. As the Dark and Light Sarah characters approach each other in impending death, the awareness and memories of the Other are restored, reversing the fission of the two entities from each other described in Memories Fall. And yes , the details are every bit that important to perceive the artistic depth. But that glorious voice, her incredible lush beauty, the intimacy of the extreme close-ups, the grief at the end of her too-brief story ( yes, I do know the next two parts of this Ultimate concept cycle- bc like all Darklings I am awaiting the next part of the Epic) ...beyond awesome. This fits the definition of Epic as surely as the Iliad, the Aenead, the Kalevala, or on a lighter note, Yellow Submarine (said to be based on Beowulf, another epic): the adventures of a heroine through different worlds, their friends, enemies, mentors, rivals; their virtuous and sometimes Dark acts, the hands and actions of the gods, and a conclusion that hopefully satisfies the listener- for of course, epics have been sung, all the way back to Gilgamesh. I don't know how many people are seeing what is in these magnificent productions. But the nature of Art is that even if you don't explicitly see it, it informs every note, every frame, every gesture, and that, nobody can miss, even without conscious awareness. Heidi gave us a hint in that tour of her home with Napalm, showing us the Kalevala on her shelf. Everything about these songs, music, vocals, videos and albums is sublime.
Truly amazing! I get the feeling this isn't the end of Dark Sarah and the Dragon's chronicles, after all... (Spoilers) He went back in time, a tine where she was still alive...
I'm speechless😱 you save the best video for the last!✨👏🏻 Heidi your performance here is masterful, and JP expressions are priceless!😍 The most beautiful death metaphor i've ever seen🖤 I'm in tears!😭 Thanks so much for this, pure Art!😘
I could see sarah and the dragons story easily being a theatrical play. Heidi's videos follow a strong story based plot. The golden moth album is pure theatre rock
Last video? No! You must continue forever. I've always thought Amberian Dawn were a criminally underrated band, even among symphonic metal fans (I like Nightwish and Epica as much as the next guy), and Dark Sarah still seem to be fairly unknown. I just don't understand why. Another fantastic song and video.
I recently discovered this amazing band thanks to Dance with the dragon, immediately fell in love and had to listen to all of their songs! They truly are amazing, and I purchased all of their CDs because I want to support them. Keep up the good work guys, can't wait to hear more from you
This is simply the perfect video for this beautiful song. When I listened to the album I felt It wasn't really the end, at least not for the Dragon story. Now I'm even more convinced. Anyway, the full Chronicles story teaches that we can't live without our dark side, sometimes we need it to survive and go on, but it's not good to let It take over. I think Dark Sarah's right fate was to be reunited with Sarah, if she would have met someone with more kindess in him, this wouldn't have been possible.
I found this band about a year ago but its just recently that i´ve taken the time to delve deeper into their songlist, and i´ve got to say... Her voice is amazing! This might just be the most underrated metal band in the world right now.
I've been OBSESSED with this song. It is so dark, and melodic, and gorgeous. I've loved previous Dark Sarah tracks, but I've never just put a song on repeat like I have this one. Not only the song, but the video is also mesmerizing!
Heidi You're an amazing singer I can't believe your beautiful and angelic voice. Thank you very much for your art and personal style Me iluminas el alma y el corazón con tu arte y talento. Kisses for you from Buenos Aires city
I’m so glad that UA-cam introduced me to Dark Sarah, because this music (and the whole story behind it) is pure genius and I love it! Can’t wait for the new album!
Well, I was hoping for a video to Promise (I damn love that song), but this is awesome! When I listened to the album for the first time this song hit my emotions so hardly that I almost cried. It builds atmosphere in such an amazing way, how can there even be something so sad and beautifull? Great job, Dark Sarah!
Ok now you guys should be on broadway with the videos and music you make!!! You have me searching for the rest of the story!!! You most certainly should write and perform in an original theatrical musical for every song ive listened to thus far in my binge watching!!! What incredible talent and originality!!! More i want more!!!
Well that caught me completely off guard... Haven't bought the album yet, and this song truly made me cry. The melody, the longing, the question again and again, your low tones... Wow, just, it really pierced me. Absolutely beautiful and emotionally powerful. Hats off!
Everytime I watch this again makes me reflect on something new. I realized in the end I sympathize so much with Dragon. If once I would have had wings, I'd do anything to have them back. It's so hard to decide between what's best for us and what we wish for the ones close to us. To choose for yourself doesn't mean to be bad.
This is beyond amazing! Thank you for creating real art! The last album from the triology is my very favourite. Can`t stop listening to it! All of you who were involved in the making of these three CDs, especially the third one: You did an amazing job! And the video is touching and beautiful aswell. Thanks a lot, Dark Sarah.
What a wonderful thing to wake up to! After hearing the album, this was the one song I was really hoping she would make a video for. It's so raw and emotional it almost brings me to tears when I listen to it.
So beautiful, elegance itself!! Also very emocional and touching. Perfect, like always. You are incredible band, telling a such beautiful story with magical music: this is the reason why I love Dark Sarah!!!
I am again seeing the tiny details that give cinematic depth. Heidi's jewelry, usually silver in most of the videos, is gold, including a miniature golden moth pendant, about charm bracelet size, worn over her heart. So is the trim on the dress and, on some of her fingernails, gold polish. Her necklace is Victorian mourning jewelry, I believe. JP's eyes are red, tear-filled, scratches on the back of his hand bc of how tightly he keeps winding and unwinding the time-turner chain. The whole Chronicles is an elemental battle (literally, the 4 classical elements plus Magick, if you keep track) between cold and fire, both in emotions and physically: Dark Sarah burns her faithless lover alive ( the Magick spell in Hunting the Dreamer puts HIM in the effigy, when she puts a heart-shaped stone in its chest, and actually sets it on fire when she blows him a mocking kiss), gives her soul for the power to be cold in Evil Roots, accepts the Dragon's arm around her shoulders when she is cold in the desert in Trespasser (in which the Dragon is careful NOT to trespass on her - he comes "to find what is mine", not to 'claim' or 'take' it- and if I were seeking her, I would be careful too!), so the recurring, haunting refrain, "I'm cold, I'm cold", is one more iteration of the theme. It continues in Mork (My phone won't do accent marks)where she says her heart is ice. And she does more fire- theme material in B.U.R.N., emerging triumphant and unscathed from behind a black veil. And kudos for endings, as in Attack of Orym, that satisfy without killing everybody or creating Disney happy endings; only a few writers have done this successfully in any genre. (Although giving someone a piece of your heart seems likely to ensure a continuing connection, rather than end one- but I suspect more adventures for Dark Sarah and the Dragon...there were some fascinating hints in The Gods Speak.)
Just started to listen to them and I must admit, I am really amazed. I love this style of music, being a fan of musical comedy and rock/metal, this is just perfect.
Michael Sexton I’ve listened to Wish so much. It’s light, airy, fun! The complete opposite of this beautiful tragedy, which only rips my heart out fresh with every new play through!
@@Wolfsbaene I think what sets Heidi's music apart is her unique ability to infuse so much emotion into the music. Without knowing the words or story of this song, simply from the song itself, I felt my heart breaking. That is the mark of a masterful songwriter.

The way The Dragon looked at her. Look like his heart was broken.
@@BrandonSmith84 I am pretty certain that all would agree that it was, indeed, broken. Along with all of OUR hearts, too. *sobs uncontrollably*
@@BrandonSmith84 I didn't know I had a heart, and now it's breaking.
I've cried probably at least 20 times in the weeks after The Golden Moth's release... Time to make it 21
Me too!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭
It's really amazing song, amazing video and amazing ending! I want to cry when I hear these words "Is it you, is it you? I´m cold, I´m cold." Thank you so much Dark Sarah for giving those emotions!!! ♥♥♥
Los super shippeo a estos dos ❤
Yo igual
También yo
Me les uno.
40 sec in: "Hmm, this song is nice so far."

_soul literally leaves body for a quick second_
(Spoilers)
He went back in time, a tine where she was still alive...
I don't think so...read the online novel...
I think he might save her the second time around. I read the online story and I feel Dragon will save her.
I see it like a short mango story
Last video?
The most epic, beautiful and powerful song I've ever heard. Every time listen Golden Moth, I feel like part of another world... Something amazing.
The sound, the singing and the scene. So gorgeous.
More and more a beautiful butterfly...
Beautifully moving.
Heidi You're an amazing singer I can't believe your beautiful and angelic voice.
Thank you very much for your art and personal style
Me iluminas el alma y el corazón con tu arte y talento.
Hats off!
And her soul flits away Breaks my heart
Everytime I watch this again makes me reflect on something new. I realized in the end I sympathize so much with Dragon. If once I would have had wings, I'd do anything to have them back. It's so hard to decide between what's best for us and what we wish for the ones close to us. To choose for yourself doesn't mean to be bad.
Merci pour ce très beau morceau musical
This song makes me cry every. Single. Time. But I keep coming back because it's so beautiful. Thank you 🖤🖤
Epic music
This is beyond amazing! Thank you for creating real art! The last album from the triology is my very favourite. Can`t stop listening to it! All of you who were involved in the making of these three CDs, especially the third one: You did an amazing job! And the video is touching and beautiful aswell. Thanks a lot, Dark Sarah.
Holy crap
In gold so amazing
Another stunning performance
So beautiful and haunting. Not many artists take time to pour themselves into such a beautiful story, keeps me hanging on and waiting for more.
This has to be one of the most elegant videos ever made.
I've only just discovered Dark Sarah. They're amazing!!
Yeahhh!! 😍🤘💅 Dark sarah es calidad audiovisual, se ve hermosa, el video es bello muy buen trabajo 👏👏👏
She is so talented I've seen so many things she's done o my goodness I just adore her
Yes! JP back in the tophat! Love it!
My Fav. from the album
Ребят, вы прекрасны! Вы во мне что-то разбудили, что я думала исчезло лет 15 назад. Вы чудо!
Dark Sarah moved me to reinvent myself after an unhappy experience. Cinematic metal pulls out all the emotions so we're not afraid to feel .
So beautiful, so magical....I almost cried. This album has been wonderful. I have listened to it nonstop since buying it. Much love :)
What a wonderful thing to wake up to! After hearing the album, this was the one song I was really hoping she would make a video for. It's so raw and emotional it almost brings me to tears when I listen to it.
Everything you do is fabulous. You are wonderful. Your creativity is stunning.
Beautifully done. I can't listen all the way through without tearing up. Dark Sarah really knows how to pull on your heartstrings.
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my life, and Heidi one of the most beautiful women in the world.
This is amazing. Thank you.
So beautiful, elegance itself!! Also very emocional and touching. Perfect, like always. You are incredible band, telling a such beautiful story with magical music: this is the reason why I love Dark Sarah!!!
Absolutely Beautiful. Added to the Ever Metal UA-cam and October Spotify Playlists! \m/
in love with this band and cinematic metal
Another incredible album! From the first to the last note she takes us in her world, this woman is a magician! For me it's the album of the year 2018.
Beautiful video. Beautiful music. Beautiful singing.
Gosh this give me shivers, everything is so damn beautiful!!!
Thank you for the heart...and the magnificent music.❤ Patti
Just started to listen to them and I must admit, I am really amazed. I love this style of music, being a fan of musical comedy and rock/metal, this is just perfect.
Q________________Q
i really love the whole story
i adore the way you make it with the albums
and music ...and lyrics...and your voices
So incredible and so sad... Beautiful final of Sarah and Dragon story... but maybe it`s just a beginning?
Who else has gone back to listen to Wish, or My Beautiful Enemy to feel good again after repeated listens to this song?
Michael Sexton I’ve listened to Wish so much. It’s light, airy, fun! The complete opposite of this beautiful tragedy, which only rips my heart out fresh with every new play through!
@@Wolfsbaene I think what sets Heidi's music apart is her unique ability to infuse so much emotion into the music. Without knowing the words or story of this song, simply from the song itself, I felt my heart breaking. That is the mark of a masterful songwriter.
Their voices compliment each other amazingly well
Incredible and Gorgeous, i love it! ❤️
Beautiful. Powerful. I lack the words to properly describe this song. Well done ^_-
This popped up on my recommended videos. I am so glad I clicked on it. Absolutely beautiful. Stunning.
Good news everyone-a 4th album is on its way :) the dragon is coming back as well!!
I just met you and I was falling in love with the story but now I'm just drawning on my own tears! Anyways, thank you for a beautiful ride. You are so talented and gorgeous ugh❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Wow! Just absolutely stunning and beautiful! This musical piece is one of the best I have ever heard! I just can't say enough about it! Both vocalists are absolutely brilliant and amazing! Update: I just ordered this album so I can just keep this song on repeat! Love it!
This song is so hypnotizing. I can't stop playing it! Fantastic job! Amazing duo!! When these two artist come together, magic happens!
I stumbled on to you. I love your music and vocals.
Such a simple song and gives me chills, I'm cooold, I'm cold
I love it so much 💜
the songs are beautiful, especially the duets with JP, I also like the story very much, it would be great if they would make a film about it
