Love this, people don't realize just how smart piggies are, a cross of a cat and small child. Mischievous, yet you love them to pieces no matter what they do (or destroy).
Christine ... I do love them to pieces in my bacon sandwich 😄
Not just pigs, this is the same case with other farm animals too!
@@bobnorton3713 Well Bob I think you just got uninvited to Hawaii LMAO!
Christine....or destroy...😂😂😂😂😂
Are you serious?! Pigs are one of the most destructive pests on the Hawaii Isles. Feral pigs don't leave anything behind, no roots or anything. They're worse than humans at destroying land. They breed like crazy and because they are intelligent to hunt them is incredibly hard.
Well fun fact pigs are one of the smartest animals in the world there have been a few who have saved their owners lives in 2022 and one was awarded for saving her owner by playing dead and when someone stopped she lead the person to her owner she was awarded in 2016. I know feral pigs when raised right can be so sweet and they are all very very smart. I'm glad they took Arthur in not a lot of people would have ❤️.
Extraordinary 🐷 Why can't idiot humans of different backgrounds get along this well?!
Not surprised the most delicious animal is also one of the smartest. Same with cattle: aren’t cows super smart too?
I eats them, drops them alive in fire, beautifuls to eat

Animals are not here to be abused, they deserve love and happiness too. Many blessings to them for taking that baby in
Agree. We should be caretakers of all animals and stewards of the earth.
“Is that your downward pig?” Too cute. God bless you for rescuing this sweet baby! 🐷 ❤️ Good for Mojo for being such a great big brother! I fostered a baby potbelly years ago, but I’ve never heard a pig make those adorable squeaks in my life!
because that's a boar not a pig, it's an invasive species to Hawaii
No gods.
Looks delicious

hey goat yoga works piggy yoga should be just as good for you,we raise potbellies and african pygmy goats and once you see them as a little baby you'll never want to put him down(that's why she made the sling he likes to be carried him spoiled rotten) they're so affectionate
💙 After watching the news, this story was like being on vacation. I needed to see some kindness so badly today. The way that she accepted and cared for this pig, then made him a family member was so wonderful. Videos like this made me quit eating pigs. I agree with her. They have so much in common with dogs, ❤️
Awww yes.. it's like breathing love after watching the terrible things happening at the moment. :(
All the best to you, wherever you are ❤
Well done on stopping eating pigs👍
I wish more people would stop eating other species ❤️
@@MJ1919 Agreed. I haven't eaten any pig for over 30 years. They are such a smart animal! And very emotional too. ❤️

Wonderful. This month 23 years vegan. I did it for the ethics and my health benefits, how awesome is that 👍✌
My 24 year old daughter doesn’t eat beef anymore (since she was 6 and found out where it came from), and she’s never had a bite of pork or bacon in her life and never will. I commend you both :)
It is amazing how well species bond when they are encircled and loved by caring humans. Arthur brings her joy and she gives him the same. I think it is time we follow her example and broaden the scope of animals we adopt as long as we are able to give them what they need.
No humans need to stop bringing animals where they otherwise wouldnt naturally be. They are an invasive species that were brought to the Hawaiian islands that have no natural predators there and are destroying the land and other natural animals there.
@@milesb2111 The worst, most destructive feral animal anywhere is humans.
The key is enriched. You have to give the animal the ability to thrive
how about farm animals? no love and what they need for them, only torment and slaughter.
Im not even vegan, but it never ceases to amaze me how people can be so hypocrtical and selective in how they apply morality.
Pigs are very intelligent and emotionally-deep animals.
*THERE MUST BE A SPECIAL PLACE IN HEAVEN FOR THOSE WHO HELP ANIMALS IN NEED. GOD BLESS YOU !!!*
and theres a special place in hell for those who raise animals for torturous existence and then slaughter, to make products out of their body parts, to steal milk meant for little calves that are slaughtered upon birth, and those who pay for someone else to do that to an animal. You know, like. buying meat/milk/eggs in the store.
Such a sweet baby and what a wonderful mom!!! It’s horrible when people demonize animals when the true monsters are humans themselves

I've read about 3 pet pigswho have saved the lives of their owners. 1 was having an asthma attack 1 was having a heart attack and there was a fire for the 3rd 1. The pigs got help and woke up their people. They're beautiful beings!
Yes - and some people have pigs as service animals.

What an adorable story. I hope Arthur always stays safe from people who would do him harm.
Such a delightful little story!! That little pig is adorable!! As a child, I had a pet baby pig and she was a delightful little creature. Enjoy your precious pet. Thank you for saving him. You are a marvelous human. May God bless your whole family.
Examples like Wilbur in Charlottes Web (okay, the spider was REALLY smart) and all the stories we read here about humans who adopted piglets early in life makes me feel very good. I hope it is the same for the rest of you :-)
Arthur is like a big bristley dog...gorgeous! How great to be able to have a pig for a pet ..you saved his life and now you are inseparable👍🙂❤
That's right, they just want to live. Bless the piggies.
They do make great pets, they are very affectionate, sweet and smart. I had a piget when I was 7 years and I never forgot him.
How adorable
I learnt so much about pigs just then, I had no idea they wagged their tails! A shame these wild pigs are demonised but you’re softening hearts with Arthur - he’s a perfect ambassador 💗.
A shame they’re demolished ? You literally have no idea what damage they cause, they start giving birth at age 6 months and could have have 10 babies every 3 months, they cause $10 billion damages to agriculture in America every year.
They destroyed the state of Texas, no one would care if they just ate the crops but they dig up the entire field with their snout.
Let me guess, you’re a vegan
Nina. So we should look after them...lol They cause billions in crop damage every year. Is everything special, what about the carrots you eat poor little cute orange carrots. And you murdered them and eat them
@@bobnorton3713 This lady did it correctly and started it early in his life. He has his pen where he can dig and be perfectly happy because he doesn't know any different. I'm assuming you live in a place where pigs do a lot of damage?
You need to see with your own eyes, first hand, the destruction feral hogs do to the environment. On a closed system like an island it is worse.
I love pigs but wild pigs are highly invasive and destructive to local habitats and inhabitants. They breed quickly from a young age and can be very violent. What this woman is doing is fine, as the pig is not causing trouble, but I would hope the pig is neutered/spayed or whatever you would call it for a pig, because they very easily breed and accidental adventures can happen.
I do not approve of her disregarding the real threat an INVASIVE and DANGEROUS species such as boars (wild pigs) can do to the environment. They are rightfully culled as they reek havoc and cannot just "live among" them peacefully. The fact that they are intelligent makes it even more difficult to contain them.
Arthur's got family ! Live and love long Arthur ! To your family and you , God bless !
One must have respect for the wild pigs. They are very smart. They are also very dangerous. Caution should always be used in areas where the pigs are. Don’t approach them, ever!
This little cutie is very lucky to have been rescued. Personality plus. This lady is so good to have made a pig friendly space for her little man💛💛
Agreed
Yes indeed. We raised pigs when I was young - and I always raise an eyebrow on these video's of folks 'saving an orphan'....and you hear the pronoun 'he'. Uh-oh. No one should ever keep an uncut 'boar' - they get extremely aggressive and dangerous with age and are capable of eating your other pets and even attacking the 'human'. Wish people would stop thinking these animals as something like a 'stuffed toy' for their own personal amusement.
@@loriw5457 Hopefully Arthur's mom knows this, got him fixed, and will make sure Mojo isn't eaten. Hopefully
@@loriw5457 Point taken. Though maybe an uncut boar is like protection against anyone wanting to eat them?
They are quite destructive not only in the home but out in the wild as well. That digging He liked to do is what feral pigs do. They destroy their environment which means they are destroying the native animals environment as well. They have probably wiped out a few native species already. How can people live with that. Not their fault they are there but it is our responsibility to fix it. That means getting rid of them. Sorry he is cute but that doesn’t justify the extinction of native species.
bless Rebecca for saving Arthur for a safe loving forever home!

How can people hate such sweet, loving animals? He's such a gorgeous boy 🐷🐽💙
It's because wild pigs can be really dangerous. It's not hate it's extreme caution. They can be very fast and very mean.
@@patriciaikeda2608 meaner than killing and eating them? Come on
,@@gitadasgupta7488 I understand, but there has to be a balance. Wild pigs can overrun a whole ecosystem and destroy it. They are also, like i said very fast and can kill people. So yes i respect animals and i think pigs are intelligent and worthy of respect. But just because something is "cute" as a baby does not mean it cant grow into a mean adult with large vicious tusks.
Thank you for educating people about pigs. They are super intelligent and extremely friendly. Unfortunately there are too many stereotypes in this world, so thank you for not only saving him but being a voice for the voiceless.🐖

Thank you for understanding pigs and caring. We all need to remove the stigma around pigs (as with so many other animals) and bring them into our lives.
This isn't some undeserved social stigma. Feral hogs are hugely destructive on the environment. Hawaii is made up of islands, a closed system, so it is worse.

How do I love your story, let me count the ways. Arthur is adorable and you are wonderful. All sentient beings want to live and be happy just like us--you've given that to Arthur. I wish every child could see this. xo
A little perspective. First, pigs are wonderful animals which are super smart and have a lot of personality and I think this is a wonderful and heartwarming story. I wish all feral pig stories could end like this.
But feral pigs are an invasive species which, at least here in California, do tremendous damage to both agricultural areas and wild areas. They breed so quickly effectively have no natural predators to keep populations down. Some state and federal public lands have been severely damaged by their presence. I met a vegan park ranger once who said the damage was so bad at the park she worked at and the problem so large that she actually supported hiring professional hunters to keep the population in check as they were outcompeting native animals and destroying the delicate native ecosystem. People need to be very careful when they mess with Mother Nature. In this case everyone suffer, pigs and the native ecosystems.
Humans are the most destructive species this planet has ever seen and consume the most of all the resources and have "no natural predators'"....the damage that humans are causing may very well cause our own extinction and we've already caused mass extinction of thousands of species. I find it quite ridiculous when humans scapegoat other animals and label them "destructive" when no other animals here clear cut entire rainforests for cattle to graze, or fish the oceans until they are devoid of fish, or factory farm cows, pigs and chickens creating massive manure lagoons that pollute the waterways or pollute so bad the oceans turn acidic and start nuclear wars and fallout and produce tons of non-biodegradable waste like plastics and styrofoam everywhere....no other animal comes close to the destruction that humans cause and yes I've seen the "damage" feral pigs do here. Another humane and more sustainble solution for feral animals is trap/neuter/release like what has been done with feral cats. Same could be done for feral pigs
There are angels among us. This lady is one of them.
I hope other people won't see him as wild & might harm or kill him by mistake. He needs some sort of marking so that people know he's someone's pet, like a collar or tattoo on his back.
It doesn't appear that he leaves her yard - I hope. I agree with you.
@@i_love_rescue_animals ... Yes that's my concern, that he might escape his pen & wander around for curiosity. There's even the scenario where some kids might pass by his outdoor pen when he's in there & do something stupid. They kill pigs there for food & for culling (invasive species, as said), so it's not far off that statistically something could happen in that vicinity. Of course, the owner could get the word out about him in that area so people are aware of him (such as this youtube video), but the more people know he exists, the more stupid people know of him as well, such as again, delinquents.
Still little, later will be able to break fence or dig under. If he is we'll loved and fed he many not want to go out . Good idea to tattoo with name or put collar or harness on. on .
👍👍👍true🙏🙏
He stays in his fenced pen which is also enclosed by my larger fenced yard and luckily I have great neighbors who adore him and spoil him with fruits from their yard ! I sometimes take him for walks in the neighborhood and then he wears a harness and leash so he never leaves my side. He doesn't try to dig out or leave because of a few reasons....1. he was raised here so he feels safe here and considers this his home, 2. he gets fed here plenty and 3. he was neutered young (with proper anethsethia) so he doesn't have the urge to go looking for females to mate with ; ) thanks for your concern though.....sadly many pet pig owners here in Hawaii had have their beloved pets killed by "hunters" who trespassed onto their property but in most of these cases, the owners did not keep the pigs in a fenced yard.... : (
