  • Pressure tanks are common installments for any house! They are used to make sure that the water pressure in your house is always meeting your standards. Today we pull this video out of the vault and let Mike explain to you how to set up the plumbing of one of these tanks. These tanks can be used with any of our submersible tanks like this one shop.rpssolarpumps.com/produc...

The information on the check valve was very helpful. My system doesn't have one and I wasn't sure if it needed one or not. All of the other videos showing their set ups add the check valve, but they don't explain why. I will leave my system without it. the only thing that I don't need is the switch, because it is already installed on the pump.

Great explanation, don't use the female PVC fitting they are very weak. Use a brass coupling and then a male PVC adaptor. I'm a Journeyman plumber and I studying well and pump systems. Your video was great.

    very informative.
but as ususal I am doing something a bit different LOL. SOOO I built a new garage, I ran a 3/4 inch well line f rom the house that is about 75 yeards from the house. this is a well home a very strong well home. I want to put another bladder tank into the new garage to bbost the pressure at the garage for things like pressure washing a tractor or car etc. can I just plumb the well line into the bladder tank and go out to the work? I imagine just a pressure gauge to see what pressure is being sent to the bladder tank? Please advise me on this . thank you Steve Perchinsky

Thanks for the video. Quick question, how do I find out whether I have a 40/60 pressure system or another low/high pressure system.

Turn off power to the pump and open the switch. The info is on the cover.

Will the solar power pump withstand building up 60 psi of water every time the tank is filled?
With the check valve installed after the pressure tank. Would it allow all the water to return back down the well?

Yup, the max pressure depends on the actual ability range of the pump. Lots of our customers are using 60 psi, some even 70 psi. check valve should be installed between the pump and the pressure tank. Any water in the pipe between the pump and check valve will drain, any water after the check valve will stay right in the line. If you're in a freezing area, you gotta be careful and trench the line, otherwise no worries!

I was interested in your video, but I couldn’t understand a word you said, because of the music playing.
