It’s great to see the different techniques on construction…as with any other technique. Great job in presentation, I will definitely consider all I have been shown in my new construction. It’s come a long way since my time in light infantry scout platoon! Trying different techniques in “dry runs,” should be interesting with the wife and in-laws 🤦♂️ We learn something new every day…

Hi Same, I'm not a fan the cape. Poncho is better in my opinion. Capes in my experience just get caught on every thing.

Awesome video! You’ve given me inspiration on how I’m going to make my hat. One question though, how did you attach the plants to the hat?
A good source of jute and burlap is old potato sacks if you can find them, I used the loose woven burlap to help paint my rifle (civilian).
Hey Tosh, can a viper hood act or function in the same way as a separate ghille hat? What are your thoughts on the viper hoods?
I'm curious about Viper Hoods too... They are much smaller and less cumbersome than a Full ghillie, and more effective than a hat!
I like hoods, but it's not about or the other, have both. My top has a hood but I still wear a hat. Sometimes I need to put my hat further down on my rifle and pull the hood onto my head. I recommend both. But if weight is an issue the hat has more flexibility.

I'd like to see more of the lightweight/hybrid techniques. Others mentioned the hoods. The hat is very versatile. I've seen a couple loops tacked onto uniforms at the shoulders, upper arms top of chest to just add a touch of veg and some jute. What other minimalist methods can be done to achieve reasonable concealment without the full burden of a full suit or poncho?

Is the hobby lobby vegetation IR compliant? What about a comparison against natural vege, normal, IR, and thermal? thanks guys!
Being that the hobby lobby veg is cheap plastic, it's pretty reflective and would probably glow under IR. I don't have IR just thermal so I can't confirm.
Hobby Lobby doesn't sell mil spec anything. Except for maybe Paracord.

Well I'm a little embarrassed. I took my daughter to hobby lobby once and saw the fake plants and thought "I bet that would make an easy ghillie suit".. Then I thought "man I'm an idiot for thinking that". Turns out the sniper instructor likes it. 🤦🏻♂️

I find that my jute particles fly around and get in my damn throat and make me cough every now and then. Did you ever have to deal with that?
I hate jute. My 1st sniper school was the US Army course. I had to build the suit from scratch. As a pampered Spec Ops guy that was a nightmare.

Dogs are smelling human scent and vegetation crushed while you move, basically nothing you can do so dont worry about it.
Not bad, just fast-forward about 6-8 minutes past the plug for tactical tailor.

Gun license
When the constitution was written, and long afterwards there was not any gun licenses anywhere in United States.
There is no mention of people being confined to the State they live in order to carry a firearm, and everyone at that time brought their firearm everywhere they wanted to go including across state lines.
Because the Supreme Court text , history and tridion is to be used, any legal citizen of the United States should be allowed to carry their firearm anywhere in the United States without a license or permit.
Constitutional carry should be the law of the land.
