Milk in first is a thing from yonks ago when cups were fragile to avoid them shattering when adding boiling water. We've now evolved and have strong mugs.
Milk in first?? She's not from Yorkshire!! *shakes head* If you are going to do a 'How to Make A Proper Brew'....then do it properly! One bag/spoon of loose tea per person and one for the pot...and milk in last. Born and bred (and proud) Yorkshireman.
I love Yorkshire Gold and I take it with milk and sugar and sometimes, plain. I put my milk in afterwards. I used to drink Ahmed Tea but I prefer Yorkshire Gold. I don't dunk biscuits into my tea, however. I hope Yorkshire Gold will always be around.
If you add milk to hot tea you scald the milk the moment it touches the tea, and continue to as you as more milk because the tea never reduces appreciably in temperature. Whereas if you add tea to milk you warm the milk you gradually so almost none of it gets scalded.
I don't drink English teas, I'm more into Asian tea but hear me out please. Thing that is never mentioned is the quality of water you brew your tea with, I don't know how many times I've had tea and the water is so bad tasting it ruins the flavor. Just something to consider :-)
I just bought a box from Amazon, it was the traditional teabag with string, on box it said made in UAE. I made it per directions on box, and it was too weak and bitter when compared to PG tips. I opened a bag to inspect, and it had much stem when compared to PG tips with no stems. I was surprised because I really enjoy the Taylors English Breakfast which is the parent company. I have read online that the UAE tea is different than the made in England so that must be true cuz the UAE tea was meh at best.
Easily the best Tea brand out there. Yorkshire Tea is Teariffic. You see what I did there? Oooohhhhh I’m sooooo exited I’m just about to drink out my cup of tea as I type eek excited.
The Italians debate is it sauce or gravy? No milk for me call me a purist if you want, I enjoy my Yorkshire tea's natural suttle flavor in a clear glass tumbler as I do immensely enjoy the taste I also like to gaze through the tumbler delighting in its exquisite amber color.Tea is celebrated around the world as a cultural event. Let us discuss the many cultures around the world recognizing their beauty is a far greater complement to life than that offered through consolidating and homogenizing the world into a generic tasteless planet. All the Best from the USA.
you always put a t-bag for each person and then one for the pot and you never put milk in first you put milk in afterwards so the milk and the tea fuse better
I dunno why I can't make a very good cup of this stuff. I find 3min the best for a cup but it still doesn't taste very great to me, I unno if I'm doing something wrong or wut.
The other thing with Twinings is that for the more expensive teas like Ceylon Black and Darjeeling, Lapsang Souchong and maybe Prince of Wales yet alone the more common English Breakfast, Orange Pekoe and Earl Grey blends although especially the first not including the common last three - they put so little in the bag. You will need 6 teabags to bring any flavor out. Twinings and Tazo is what they often use to make commercial grade teas with (especially the pekoe and sometimes the lower grade English Breakfast and Earl Grey) and those are the brands used in Starbucks which tells you something. Ahmad is good tea. If you want earl grey or pekoe - loose is superior or a less corporate provider brand gives more flavor to savor
Actually my father used to make Yorkshire gold. We have lots of specialty teas that was sort of a to go one. Recently I found out about the Ceylon Lovers Leap which is far better than Yorkshire. I dont think I will revisit Yorkshire now, though it is the best of cheap commercial English blends
@@cisium1184 1) I don’t take anyone serious that says bro 2) google it, there’s studies even in 2023 that found micro plastics in tea bags from multiple brands.
You don't even tell us how many milliliters of water we should use? Isn't this YORKSHIRE TEA's official channel? You are supposed to be a tea expert! You should tell us how much water is needed for 1 tea bag.
This bint is obviously a Southerner - its one tea bag per person and one for the pot. And you DONT put milk in first - you are burned at the stake if you do that here in Yorkshire. Shame on you Yorkshire Tea - get a Yorkshireman doing the job!!
Pure assam or ceylon black teas, even the cheapest (and even they vary in quality a lot) are vastly superior to the shitty low grade orange pekoe that is sold in most Tim Horton's in Canada and fast food or donut chains in the United States yet alone the supermarket. Still orange pekoe and English Breakfast have a nice flavor for economy uses and vary themselves in quality. If you like OP - try Yorkshire as they have a blend. Never buy Twinings. The EB and OP are crap, the EG (earl gray) has no flavor relative to Hyleys EG or loose earl grey. Loose orange pekoes are not expensive and superior to PG tips or Twinings which are low quality teas
That tea is perfectly balanced, with no exploits whatsoever
Thats what I was waiting for.
ah, I see you are a follower of our exploiting friend as well :P
Long live the Queen! :)
Indeed
I understood that reference

They only made one, and you’re seeing it now.
Yorkshire Tea is perfectly balanced with no exploits.

You can replace milk with a vodka and get a perfect Polish breakfast tea.
You can really just substitude the vodka for the tea and you're well on your way.
Milk in first is a thing from yonks ago when cups were fragile to avoid them shattering when adding boiling water. We've now evolved and have strong mugs.
Tastes better in a red cup. Believe me. Try it and see.
This tea is perfectly balanced with no exploits whatsoever
Been looking for this tea for awhile now in here in the US and now whole foods finally sells it! Thank you!!!!! It really is the best.
Amazon sells it. I buy about 4-6 box packs of 100 and save a dime. :)
Is the gold one better than the standard?
@@karimnabil1851 I wouldn't say so Karim, but then it's all down to what you like.
Ima tell you a secret. Try pickwick Dutch orange pekoe. The stuffs amazing.
The guy below had said it and I will once more.
The tea is perfectly balanced with no exploit whatsoever and served as the developers had intended.

Who came here for the Spiffing Brit
Vote down. Can't believe she put the milk in first.
I can't believe she used tea bags. Loose leaf, tea first, sugar, then milk.
Or just drink the tea as is, loose leaf in a pot, then in a cup. ^_^
I have mine - loose leaf, tea,sugar,milk,digestive
Milk in first is appropriate if you arnt brewing the tea in the cup.
Milk 1st all day
I never put in milk first. It just feels so unnatural :((
If you make tea in a pot, milk goes in the cup/mug first. If you make tea in the mug/cup, milk goes in after.
If you add milk to hot tea you scald the milk the moment it touches the tea, and continue to as you as more milk because the tea never reduces appreciably in temperature. Whereas if you add tea to milk you warm the milk you gradually so almost none of it gets scalded.

Good thing I watched this vid I used to think you ate the tea bags and drank water after.
What?! 😂.
The funny thing is when I bought Yorkshire tea the spiffing brit popped up in my notifications lol
Lovely lass - but I vote for no milk. I love the taste of tea - especially quality tea like Yorkshire! :)
Yorkshire tea the best. I always mash it and bash it with my spoon though, I find it gets the aroma out.
You are drinking tea young man ! Not eating a boiled egg 🥚 !! Mash it and bash it indeed 😐

Milk in first should be made a criminal offence.
Milk in first?! WITCH!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Well the secrets out then. There you go ladies and gentlemen. That's how you make tea.
give spiffing brit some money he made me addicted to your tea
Go Suzy GO! Show 'em how it's done!
tea first, then milk so you can regulate the strength.
Make tins, make ceramic teapots and mugs widely available abroad (Canada).

Is this a Listerine ad?
Nah, I'm joking! I love Yorkshire tea! Best I've ever tasted.
Well she did say Personally.... meaning thats how SHE does it... Tiffy here...
Hi Yorkshire tea
I told you to change the Yorkshire tea boxes to the original ways with a train crossing a viaduct on it
😂😂😂😂😂
I've been having it with Silk brand oat milk. I can't start my day without at least 2 cups.
Who would have known I am a Tiffy! By the way her blouse is screaming PG Tips' colors 😂

The question for me would be if I could leave out the milk. Not a fan of milk in my tea ^^
What if you don't have milk at all???
What temperature is recommended for the steeping process?
They need to pay Reanu Keeves.
Tiffy, definitely.
For the spiffing Brit!
you always put a t-bag for each person and then one for the pot and you never put milk in first you put milk in afterwards so the milk and the tea fuse better
Like it's really made in Yorkshire, the same way chocolate is made in Belgium.
You always improve the tea by taking the tea out of the teabag. Try it by comparing two cups - one with teabag and one with loose tea from teabag
If you are going to take it out of the bag why not buy loose tea in the first place.
Bagged tea is much too fine. You need to order loose tea.
I dunno why I can't make a very good cup of this stuff. I find 3min the best for a cup but it still doesn't taste very great to me, I unno if I'm doing something wrong or wut.
Maybe you are a coffee person?
Has anybody found spiffing brit?
I love a bedtime brew sarks, not all of us have to reduce our liquid consumption after 4pm 😤😤😤
American here I prefer not to put milk in my tea and it's still delicious
WHAT!!!!!! Milk in first

Leave the milk out of this, peasants.
you had me up until she put the milk in, now I'm just miffed
Skip the teabags and the microplastics that you'll be consuming and get loose leaf tea for a proper brew
There are no microplastics in tea bags anymore. Haven't been for years bro.

I've never heard of putting milk in tea. I haven't tried it that way but I think I'd prefer just plain ol' tea.
Thats how the British do it.
