This book’s better than the Torre book. Great honesty throughout. Incredibly insightful on the art of pitching, more than any other book by a pitcher. Highly recommend for true fans of pitchin. ✌️
Man I find it so fascinating when they talk about pitchers having tells on their pitches. These guys are the best of the best and they wernt even able to realize their own tells. That what makes Dan such a great interviewer, he can turn that into must her radio. D.P the best to ever do it. "We speak your name Dan Patrick"
Man, I remember the closerS in 96, Rivera and then Wetteland. They always talked about it on nearly every broadcast - you basically had to beat the Yankees in 6 innings, 7 tops - because after that you never had a chance.
I was thinking the same and think its general consensus qbs have the most impact on their team in a sport. But i do get what cone is saying. Qbs do play once a week but so does everyone else. Starting pitchers workout with their team and are at every game, and im sure can get antsy qhen its not their day to pitch.
I know David Cone is a former MLB pitcher, but I wish my book could get a fraction of the exposure/recognition that these books get. I recently tried to contact a local minor league team about doing something pertaining to my baseball related book while playing up the fact that it is by a local author, but so far I can't convince them to do anything. Nobody wants to do anything for a non-big shot.
I have always enjoyed wacthing David Cone pitch except in the 96 world series.Tip of Cap to you David. But I dispise Jack Morris he beat us like a drum.Tip of the Cap to him also. He beat the best as did David Cone.
David cone is the new "parade show" Dan Patrick, mob central, rich eisen, Jim Rome... Why do they that? Do they think it's not obvious? Let's hope all over sports talk radio in one week... Frank caliendo did it last week. God I could write a better script. Don't know which cancer will hit u first? The ratings . It's your ratings. When a UA-cam channel gets more ratings the TV.. with less budgets... It's not the show. It's the people. Huey luey and screwey just add misery. And it's the same in every show? Let's have three no names give their take too because the star is too lazy or unprepared to go hours and hours and hours but with not enough material. Be on air for less time. All y'all copied Joe Rogan . And I don't like him either. The fakeness is like a cologne... I can smell it
Great interview

I wish these interviews would be more of a conversation than a question and answer forum.
11:40 BRB, adding "I'll keep him out of jail" to my babysitting ad
As of this season, they no longer use mud in the MLB. The balls are made tackier in the factory in a consistent way.
Man I can't believe its not butter!!!!
Wish the Yankees made him their manager instead of Boone...
7:30 ummmm quarterbacks in football. Except Tom Brady never had Mariano to bail him out in the fourth quarter.

Pitchers don't have a running game.
@@BeefPapa Actually given how much MLB wants to speed up the game (time clocks, limited mound visits, etc.), they kinda do have a running game.

David Cone had an awkward pitching stance

LOL dude that was 23 years ago man.
@@musicman76enator It still happened and I am still bitter. You do not understand baseball Kid.
