I appreciate your support and feedback. It's been a while since I've check the firmware, glad the process is the same. Welcome to the PropsOff family...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
Big thanks! You just saved my Jumper T16 from being thrown away. Thanks to the successful firmware update of the external multi-module I got an extra option in the radio menu: RF Freq fine tune. Now I am able to mitigate the “low RSSI’s” my T16 has suffered from as long as I have it.
I'm glad it helped.. The T16 and Qx7 has been retired.. RadiomasterTX16S and Tango 2 are what we run now.. Tech was just moving so fast. Looks like we currently get a break - not sure if that's a good or a bad thing though...🤔
Awesome video and informations about the external module! One quick and silly question! If internal module have got problem (signal lost) etc an external module would fix the problem?
If the internal module is at fault and not a supporting peripheral, yes it should. However, if the portion of failure is the wire harness or farther along to the main board, that could be a problem.
@@propsoff Thank you so much for your fast response! 🙏 yesterday I had all of sudden even at 20-30 meters away a signal lost and telemetry lost as well :/ after checking out with 6 different receiver's none of them worked correctly....even if I have the plane next to the TX signal is getting lost! I've been thinking of buying on external module 4 in 1 and I do wish that it will solve the problem!
@@rcostasbuild1165 I'm a fan of having an external module. More power and higher gain antenna. Also, very easy to swap out when the old one wears out..
Thanks for the video...Question will the Jumper external 4N1 with the latest firmware work with EdgeTX? The Github page sorta indicates it will work with the internal 4n1 with OpenTX and EdgeTX. But I am not sure about the external unit 4N1. Thanks for any feedback.
The notes I found look to support your conclusions. They went on to say that newer firmware (like Edgetx) would automatically communicate with the Muliti Protocol. I have to apologize, I don't have this equipment at reach anymore. I've gone down the Radiomaster rabbit hole...🤣 I currently run my Zorro daily.. Here's a like to some great information (sounds like you've already seen it)...🍻 downloads.multi-module.org/
@@propsoff Thank you for your reply. Guess I will back up everything and just give it a try..going from Opentx to EdgeTx. I am sure I will have some issues to resolve. My Jumper T16 serves me well now, but with most of the new stuff going ExpressLRS I need to catch up..Merry Christmas and treat yourself to some new toys.
Just a FYI on my upgrade from the Jumper T16 with OpenTX to EdgeTX version 2.8.5. Reason for using 2.8.5 is the newer 9.x.x releases no longer do the model conversions during the upgrade. My question on the Jumper Multi Module would it work with the T16 and Edge 2.8.x, the answer is yes. The module needs a firmware version that is at least a 1.3.3.x (if I recall correctly) I did not have to flash anything since I was at a high enough level of firmware on the module. Multi module site has the exact version. Anyway I am closer to be caught up to date on the O.S. for the hobby. I will try Edge 2.9.2 after I get everything setup. My toy indoor models fly fine under the new system, no issues except a re-learn of what button does what. Merry Christmas Regards Bob
Thank you for visiting my channel.. Here we rid ourselves of the blinking "Module Update Recommended" and how to do it. If you like this video, give it a thumbs up and subscribe. Hope this quick look will help you update you older JP4in1-se External Multi-protocol Module. Enjoy the Breeze...👍🏻🍻👊🏻
I am now on a Microsoft computer but I can’t figure out how to download the Flash multi. Your video is really well made but I’m starting to wonder if it is out dated. I can’t find any recent videos on how to do this. I bought a radio master jp4in1 and I have a taranis x9d. About to give up and go buy a spectrum NX8. I’m just trying to fly a timber X. I thought this was going to be simple to bind but im struggling
Is your radio the XD9 Plus ACCESS protocol? If your radio is ACCESS, it won't work. Do you have the ability to get the Radiomaster TX16S, I would recommend that and abandon the FRsky equipment all together. If your going to fly quadcopters, spectrum is not the radio for you (the packet rates of the newer equipment is far superior). The Jumper radio in my video is running OpenTX and is compatible with any open source firmware. After Frsky abandoned all of us open source users and went proprietary with ACCESS, most if not all old timers have left them too. I wish I had a simple answer.
This is how my radio was programmed when I got it, My module status say v1.3.0.53 AETR, Do I just need to change AETR to TAER? which I have not figured out how to do...please help! Need your feedback....thanks!
The channel map is in the top middle of the receiver tab in Betaflight. The channels are set up in the first screen of the model set up. I have a video explaining this "mobula T16 setup".. You can simply change the channel map in Betaflight to match your stick inputs.
I apologize, I haven't used a Mac in 29 years and can not personally answer your question. I'm hopeful someone will come here and answer that question...🍻
Worked for me! Thank you! I was at a loss on what to do until I found this video! Subscribed!!!

Many thanks for this great tutorial. This was the only video that clearly showed the solution. Very nice!

this module can use in xq7s?
Hmm... I have the newer model with the internal module. Will this still work?
Great vid very to the point. Easy to fallow..thumbs up!

Telemetry signal inversion or no inversion is specific to the functionality of the external and internal multi-modules respectively.
Do elaborate.. The external module I had required inverted telemetry. You sound like you have a good way to explain this, please do... 👍🍻👊
