My mom got locked out of the house after coming home late at night... she would knock on the door. I would play this... really loud... EVERY DAY FOR YEARS
@mrh784 actually, it's about the time he lived in an apartment next to some drug dealers. That's why he was so nervous every time he heard someone knocking since their customers would often get the wrong door.
Well, I'll be 51 this Wednesday (SO if it's VERY good where you are, make a request for "Mr. Blue Sky", by the Electric Light Orchestra) - I remember HEARING this song ONCE while living in the Houston, TX area (I lived in 2 places IN the city, and in Tomball)
Always liked this song. This particular recording sounds like it was taken from a slightly warped record or an older cassette tape. If you listen closely, you can pick up on it right away, within the first few licks of the saxophone. The best part is, I ain’t even mad. 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Okay so I grew up hearing this song because of my mom... But I've always had auditory processing issues and couldn't understand what he was saying. So here I am. Listening to this for the first time since I was a kid, actually _seeing_ the lyrics for the first time and, uh... *_This is a whole mood._*
This is why I love about karaoke when you can actually feel the original be because the speed feels off you can't get into the song cuz everyone remembers what the song originally sounded like I would don't feel the emotion behind original instrument that has nothing to sing for thank you for putting the original up here like I said they made three great songs and very underrated and underappreciated I know I enjoy them and you're right that saxophone opening is sweet

This is so relatable to my parents busting and knocking at my door like "All I wish is to be alone. Stay away, Don't you invade my room." and I have a xbox and "I like it here with my childhood friend." "Here they come. Those feeling's again!"
My life when I was an addict. I listen to this a lot and remember how it used to be. This song gets it perfectly. I really wish I was alone on the journey.
Who can it be knocking at my door? Go 'way, don't come 'round here no more Can't you see that it's late at night? I'm very tired and I'm not feeling right All I wish is to be alone Stay away, don't you invade my home Best off if you hang outside Don't come in, I'll only run and hide Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be knocking at my door? Make no sound, tip-toe across the floor If he hears, he'll knock all day I'll be trapped and here I'll have to stay I've done no harm, I keep to myself There's nothing wrong with my state of mental health I like it here with my childhood friend Here they come, those feelings again! Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Is it the man come to take me away? Why do they follow me? It's not the future that I can see It's just my fantasy, yeah Ooh, who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? Who can it be now? (Oh, wee oh) Who can it, Who can it (Ooh ooh) Who can it be now? (Ooh ooh wee) Yeah yeah yeah
Every freaking word of this awesome song describes my mom 100% I love it. The funny thing is nobody on earth knows this about her except me and my sister 😂👌 Seriously... when I was a kid mom would turn all the lights off and hide in her room whenever the doorbell rang unexpectedly (or knocking on door) and she had a funny horrified look on her face like it was the boogie man at the door. She would send me out to quietly tip-toe to the window to see who it was. To make people leave sooner I would answer the door and lie, telling them that mom wasn't home 😂 The few times mom had the nerve to answer the door she would give the same excuse that she is "very tired and not feeling right" to make them leave even though it wasn't true. Lmfao. Its so ironic because mom has a "way" with people when she wants to and everyone thinks she's great but she is a total hermit at heart.
Tluv Jonze lolol omg it is! “If he hears he’ll knock all day. I’ll be TRAPPED and here I’ll have to stay.” Basically and introverts living nightmare..😂
This song reminds me of my mom so much. I am an introvert kinda but I'm a lot more aggressive than her. Anyway when I was a kid if the doorbell rang and we weren't expecting company mom would turn all the lights off pretending no one was home and peek out the window to see who it was. Lmao 😂 sometimes I would answer it for her and she'd stay in her room and tell me to tell them she isn't home. Im the opposite. If I have unwanted company I'll answer the door and make them go. I don't need a guard dog, I'm scary enough 😉😈
Sofia Styles I avoid the door and make 0 noise when I get uninvited company lol. My bf’s mom will yell really loud that it’s her and to let her in. I’ll answer for his mom, niece, aaaaand that’s about it😂.
Exactly. I relate 100%. I'm on social media almost daily and mom never is. It"s funny how people can be so similar and still so different such as myself and my mom.
when I was little, 2 or 3 yo, my dad would drive me around in his car when it was late at night because it always put me to sleep, I don't remember much from then, but I remember hearing this song a lot then, that's why I like it so much, I have no idea who Osaka is
