    Hi Mindi, I als change shampoos on a regular base. Your video shows so good how little it takes to keep the hair healthy and beautiful. Sometimes I trim the tips to get a more defined line in the end of my hair for combing it more easily and thus to prevent unnecessary hair loss. That's the only thing I do but I would never ever go to a hair stylist again. Last time was over eleven years ago. I don't use brushes but just combs with teeth which have wide distances.

      I happen to know that the Vermont Country Store has older type hairpins and special decorative combs.
      Giving it a try wouldn’t hurt nothing.

      @@LindaCooper-i3f At least online I see only one kind of hair pins you can buy everywhere online. Maybe on store they have more, but I'm not from the US.

    You may like Calia products from Canada. They are organic and reasonably priced. (about $11 a bottle)

    2nd the vote for hairbrushing demonstration with maybe one of your favorite products. Great color would be enhanced even more with sun providing the light.

    Really good video. I enjoyed it a lot. Is your hair still growing or has it reached terminal length? Also, do you find that there is anything that you used to do before you were Apostolic that, because of the amount of hair that you have now, you find more difficult to do. For example swimming, running etc?

    • @mindihoffman5556
      @mindihoffman5556  5 років тому +1

      I think it’s done growing! 💕
      I thought about it for a little while and there’s nothing more difficult to do with more hair. 😉

    I totally understand your statement about your hair changing with age . I’ve not cut mine in 9 years now . It has always been thick until the last 3 years . It’s way thinner and the texture is changing as well . Guess it’s just part of God keeping us on our toes and humble about our glory :) .

      Haha, yes! For sure! My hair had always been super easy to take care of and brush and now it’s becoming a struggle with the tangles and it is thinning. It reminds me how much of a sacrifice my hair is! A sacrifice that is worth it. 😉

    Love all the tips , I haven’t cut my hair for like 18 years but it’s gotten so thin and it’s about past my hips but want it to grow longer and thicker . I’ve wandered if prenatal vitamins would help 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Be careful with the coconut oil if you ever experience any extra hair fall than usual. When I used coconut oil, it at first seemed to work, but later I noticed more than usual hair fall. I guess I have some sensitivity? You may not tho... in case it happens try extra virgin olive oil in the cooking section can get large bottle and last a while 😉

      Coconut oil is very protein heavy and can cause dryness and breakage in your hair is your hair is protein sensitive (low porosity if I remember right)

    Have you possibly ever tried to wear the updo that was worn by the late actress Audrey Hepburn for the grandball scene in the classic movie “MY FAIR LADY”?
    If not, just give it some thought.

    I have long hair as well and i am constantly searching for different shampoos and conditioners and also is your coconut oil organic or does it matter

    • @mindihoffman5556
      @mindihoffman5556  5 років тому +1

      The coconut oil I use is organic. That’s all I’ve ever used, so I’m not sure about non organic. 😊

    Hello, I just found yr channel this week.
    I have super long and thick hair and I was so excited to see yr hair tutorials. My hair is to the floor and everyone s definition of long hair is way shorter than mind..lol
    I have a question. Was your husband, by chance, raised in southern illinois?
    I seem to remember a Dustin Hoffman from Herrin. Just curious.
    Thanks! Jennifer

    How can you get nice body and wave at the top of your hair, close to the head. I hate curling my hair and then the top is straight.
