It kind of annoys me when people get a dog just cause it looks cute or it's pretty and don't even give other dogs a chance I adopted mine when he was 2 he's now 9 now and because he was missing a leg no one else wanted him I took it right away and I have to say he's the most loyal, loving, well behaved dog I could ever of hoped for.
Dogs know, he knew you were a good person because you didn't judge him because of his appearance. He's so loyal and thankful that you took him in, knowing not many would.
All dogs look for affection and love. Poor babies only bred for looks I was blessed with two cross breeds they were both given to me since they were the last ones in the litter since no one wanted them and honestly I couldn’t be any happier to be there dog owner
People also need to be aware that some of these dog smugglers operate under the cover of being rescues. So don't let your guard down even when choosing to adopt and always carefully evaluate where you're getting your dog. If a rescue constantly has a suspiciously high number of puppies available, that might not be coincidence.
If you pay more than $120 be suspicious because that's how much a standard spade/neuter and vaccination costs and you shouldn't pay anything if they are not already medically treated. When in doubt, go to an SPCA or state run dog pound
It's always good to look up just where the puppy comes from ESPECIALLY FROM MALLS THAT CLAIM THEY'RE SHELTER PUPPIES! Many of them have actually come from these horrible malpractices.
on the contrary, u should pay to have a dog. that shows ur probably responsible. some sadistic people on craigslist look for people who just give away dogs and they use them for dog-baiting in dogfighting. since they got them for free why not?
at 12:00 is shocking just how quiet that kennel full of puppies are. That's horrifying. Puppies should be squealing just hearing someone walk by, much less having two people talking right outside the door. That's the saddest thing
Andrea Wally that’s what i was saying. Those poor puppies are so neglected that even when placed in proper care they’re still dead silent. They’re exhausted from the abuse they’ve encountered their entire lives b
Had to stop watching an influencer because she kept fawning over her teacup dog. They're deliberately prematurely born so they'll stay under developed and she didn't see anything wrong with that because her dog was "healthy".
@@avenger8399 except for the fact that high demand and an already prevalent issue with puppy mills means that a lot of "breeders" do practice things that result in premature, malnourished or otherwise severely unhealthy puppies to end up with a smaller dog in the end. KingDaKai NY Yep. My rescue teacup yorkie passed away this February. I’m glad I gave him seven more years of life but he was hurt pretty bad before I got him
@@omnigon1873 The difference is, breeded dogs are for looks and status mostly. Creating more dogs while a bunchhh are looking for homes is just stupid.
I tried to adopt for months but my party of the USA has mostly surrendered dogs that are large and would not fit my small home. Additionally, they come from possibly violent backgrounds and I couldn't risk that with my health problems. Too many pit bulls. I do not regret my pug, ideal temperament and parents. Adopting has been a nightmare for too many. No adoptable pugs or small dogs here.
True. My mom is a Chihuahua breeder, registered and dogs are tested for hereditary problems. She refused to sell puppies to a bunch of people who she thought wouldn't be good owners. Also when buying you need to sign a contract basically saying you will take care of the dog and give it medical treatment if needed and you can not give the dog to someone else and if by any reason you don't want to keep it you should return it to the breeder (my mom). She has max 3 litters per female dog so she is not overbreeding the dog and any dog she doesn't sell or is not for breeding anymore she will keep (or possibly rehome with a contract)
@@pgakt Oh I love rats. We had 5 of them. They're so adorable and such intelligent creatures too. We got George and Clara, from a pet shop owner and we got Larry, Mo and Curly from our vet. it's so sad that the popular dogs are the most deformed and sick... its heartbreaking how those pugs and frenchies cant even breathe! they also have many skin issues... rescue mutts are the best! and they can be small and absolutely adorable too! there are so many of them!
Sarah G I disagree, most mutts in general are healthier than a pure bred dog from a breeder due to their mix of different genetics. Purebreds have many problems due to breeding dogs with similar genes, causing defects to happen more often. I have a mutt that my family thinks is a mini schnauzer mix he’s an absolute gem and the only problem we had was a gum disease due to neglect from his previous owners.
@@Spyderrrrlil If that was true purebred dogs wouldn't be able to pass the health tests required to sell them for a premium price, and the breeds would've died out by now.

ninefivesixteen Yeah, my sister-in-law basically just wasted a lot of money- she probably paid several hundred if not a few thousand for an English bulldog puppy and I just found out they're one of the least healthy breeds and they only live about 6 years. Stop breeding these brachycephalic breeds like pugs and English bulldogs; we're making living beings live horrific, shortened lives for our aesthetic preferences!
Someone who wants to raise a baby dog but can't take the risk of it getting too large (for example if the place they live in only allows small dogs)? When you get a puppy from unknown parents, you have no idea how it will turn out, both physically and mentally. If it's mixed with a hyper breed, you might end up with a dog that requires much more time than you can give, and if it's mixed with a lazy breed, you might not be able to do the fun activities you were planning to do with it. And if it's purebred, you might be able to guess at what temperament it will have as an adult, but then chances are it was rescued from one of those places and has the accompanying health issues. This is why I would never get another puppy from a shelter. The puppy we got ended up needing surgery on both eyes in addition to hardly ever wanting to play once he grew up. And while many people like a couch potato type dog, I prefer a more active one. When it comes to adopting an older dog, I agree that it's hard to go wrong though, as their personalities are fully developed and don't change much anymore, in addition being able to rule out all those health issues that become apparent late during a puppy's growth. Still the safest place to get a dog, is from a responsible breeder that can show you health certificates, let you meet the adult dogs, and get you in contact with previous clients so that you can ask them about their experiences with the puppies they bought. Which is what I will probably do when I get my next dog, after having had many rescue dogs, volunteering at shelters and also fostering dogs.
Iona Unicorn Mclean Do you know where shelter dogs come from? They come from people who are either too stupid or too lazy to keep their female dogs away from male dogs for the short time they are in heat. The ones who then try to desperately get rid of the puppies they can't take care of by giving them away to any random stranger who is willing to take them. These random strangers are often not prepared for what they are getting into and often have neither the time to adequately care for the dog, nor the patience and sometimes even have landlords that don't allow "big dogs". ...well, the puppy was small when they got it, how were they supposed to know it would grow to that size when they didn't know the father was that big and only saw the small mother (if at all)? But does that mean that people who live in places that only allow small dogs should simply not get any dog at all? No, there is no reason not to get a dog that you know will stay small, because every ancestor was small too. Or the shelter dogs come from people who think they can make money off dogs without actually having to work, then sell them to the same kind of people as the first type. Do you know where shelter dogs do not come from? They don't come from responsible breeders who carefully choose the new homes their puppies will go to and make sure that the new family knows exactly how much work the dog will be and what size it will grow to. The people who buy from responsible breeders will never be in a situation where they are forced to give their dogs to shelters, because they had plenty of time to prepare themselves for the responsibilities, and if some blow of fate makes them unable to keep the dog, they can bring it back to the breeder until a new home can be found. A person who spent months - or even years - on a waiting list to get a dog and then payed thousands of dollars for it, is a whole lot less likely to just throw it out on the streets to be picked up by animal control. So yes, there is a safe way to ensure a long, healthy relationship with a dog you get, just as much as there is a need for selective breeding. Because many people love sharing their homes with dogs, but they would rather not have any dog than a dog that might be unsafe to be around their children or other pets, and that they may be forced to give up because it outgrew the permitted size fort whatever home they live in. There is no need to insult someone for saying the truth.
Pythagoras Mathematik PREACH 🙌 the battery farming method is disgusting, but people dismiss it so easily because they don’t care about chickens like they would other animals

@@Justkilljordan Not all shelters can afford to look after the animals they take on. I know what you're going to say: they shouldn't take on more than they can handle, but the one I currently foster for, tends to be the last chance saloon for animals, so they don't want to turn any of them down because they know what will happen. As my Father In Law says, "you can't save them all" but I think it would break the hearts of the women who run the rescue centre if they were unable to save some of the animals. We have two dogs we foster at the moment and one of them needs his vaccinations. The rescue doesn't want us paying for them even though we've offered but I think it's going to be the case that we're going to have to tell them we're registering him with our vets until such time that he finds a forever home. That way, we don't have to travel to the next city from us to get him vaccinated. He hates being in the car, so I'd like to register him at my local vets where I can walk him there for his vaccs, or just drive for 5 minutes if there's anything wrong with him.
If you are choosing to buy a dog you should always make sure that you... 1. Meet the mum (and dad if possible) 2. Make sure that the breeder is KC registered But if you can you should adopt
My grandma sells dogs, has always, she takes really good care of them and gets there shots, she let's you see the mum and dad, and you go to her house to see how they live and all. That's the only way you should be able to sell, good environment and everything
G H I don’t like me dogs KC registered, the Kennel Club ruined too many good dogs, they bred for looks and the dogs ended up with so many health problems.
in poland our equivalent to KC (that is also in partnership with KC) puts down dogs with wrong features too - but they have metrics. they just cannot be bred.. i don't think thats bad. But yeah I have to agree about making the breeds too "pure". Although if you want certain breed and cannot/don't want to adopt in my opinion KC is the only way and should be the only way.
This is so upsetting. Thank you for bringing attention to this important issue. I hope that people with think again when getting puppies from now on and not contribute to this abusive activity. It's so sad. Please STOP buying dogs and adopt instead.
But buying them from breeders and scammers doesn't save them, it perpetuates the industry. If no one buys them from the industry, they end up in shelters. Then you can adopt them there :D
Christine_eava buying dogs from a puppy mill just because they need to be “saved” from their awful environment is just going to feed the evil people who are just going to keep doing it for the profit.
Do research and buy from a reputable breeder if you really want a certain breed, dont buy designer dogs at all and rescue if you just want a friend and aren't bothered about a breed
They can blame Ireland,Hungary etc for all they want but the problem comes when the uk is willing to pay a ridiculous amount for dogs ,a French bulldog in Ireland is about 1000 in England they can go for excess of 6500 ,the public need to realise that they are contributing to it ,importing a dog by courier yourself from a responsible breeder in Ireland is far cheaper easier and healthier
I traveled to Germany to for a good breeder! I have a pug I payed £800 for her and I didn’t want to buy from England as there high demand and more prone to come from a bad place.
Victoria Salter It’s not “best” it’s what you want to do, and what you think is right. If you want to adopt that’s ok if you want to shop go head but there is no right and wrong. Unless you obviously buy from a bad place.
Nik Smit Yeah,my nana got an old dog from the humane society, and ya know everyone wants a puppy!! So if that old dog wasnt adopted by now she'd die a sad death. With help of a kind human dogs can die knowing they were loved.
I recently went on a trip to the UK and I was shocked to see so many people walking around with pure bred designer dogs! Not a mutt in sight I swear. In the USA pure bred dogs are much more rarely seen, most people owning mixed breeds of which they have adopted.
In the states a lot of people are enamored with hybrid "breeds" that are just mutts. For instance, currently the Bernadoodle is popular. Bernese Mountain Dog crossed with a Labradoodle with goes for $5000. It's basically a mutt doggo, but people think it's an actual breed and spend a shit ton on money. The backyard breeders and puppy mills find out the hottest dog and breed it like crazy. Still an issue in some cases with inbreeding and bad conditions/unhealthy dogs.
When I went on vacation to Italy I noticed the same thing. Also 99% of the dogs I saw were un neutered. There was also a large stray/feral cat population everywhere we went
@@kelseyl711 I know right! I had the same experience, there were un neutered pure bred dogs everywhere and stray cats at all the places I stayed. What sticks with me the most was this un neutered bloodhound whos I swear grazed the floor, poor guy.
Ink elle I’m in the uk. We are nation that hasn’t really got on board with the mad mix up dogs yet. In our country there’s a huge majority of owners who do adopt rescue dogs and there’s breed specific rescues too. People are actually more inclined to spay or neuter their dogs now.
YES!!!!! I wish I girlfriend was like that so so much. She bought a chow chow from who I think is a breeder and it makes me so sad. She’s says he makes her happy, and he is nice and cute but his story makes me so sad
I do love dachshunds, but I adopted a chi-weenie from my shelter. He's got the best personality and he's absolutely adorable! I don't understand why you'd pay a breeder when there are so many good dogs waiting for adoption. Mixed breeds can be just as cute as often have fewer health problems.
I wouldn't have paid a breeder if I could have found a small dog to adopt. The shelters near me were full of big dogs for months on end. No thanks. My pug is gentle and friendly. I don't worry that he was beaten and is going to suddenly go for my throat. I made sure to housebreak him. I carefully choose his breeder. No regrets here.
Similar story here. I love golden retrievers and wanted one, but when I saw one of my middle school friends getting rid of her dogs litter of golden/German Shepherd mix puppies I had to get one. I love her. She’s so smart and loyal and loving. She has some noticeable features from both. Distrusting of strangers like a German, but as soon as she realizes they’re not a threat, she becomes relaxes and is super sweet and friendly, like a golden. Crossbreeds really are the way to go! Less future health problems.
it is true that crossbreeds are healthier but I have always been wary of shelters since we lost our cat. they said he was perfectly healthy, vet checked, but had a glaringly obvious terminal heart problem :(
Brachycephalic dogs aren't the only breed of dog out there. While the average mutts might be healthier than those breeds, there are plenty of breeds that have even better chances of staying healthy than a mutt - especially when they come from parents that have been thoroughly checked for hereditary diseases.
Actually, when you adopt, you save two lives by adopting: the one you adopt and the one which can be rescued and placed in the kennel of the dog you adopted. Don't by dogs, adopt them in shelters !
That seems extremely stupid to me. The animal finally stops needing to pee every two hours and messing up your house, and that's when you decide to give it away. I'd be glad my pup is finally old enough- not to mention all the things one can do with an adult dog that a puppy would never be able to, like dog sports and teaching complicated tricks.
Pugs aren't even cute, they've been bred to have such squashed faces I just feel sorry for them when I look at them, the poor guys have so many health problems
Yeah I agree pugs are ugly, there squashed faces make them look like aliens. Pugs are honestly a mistake, seriously, every dog matters, doesn’t matter what they look like they all deserve good lives. Pugs simply shouldn’t be alive.
Absolutally breaks my heart people treat animals like trash I have 5 adopted rescues because at some point they were let down by humans never again will that happen abopt don't shop.
What do you do if you know someone is a puppy mill? I see the same girl post on a FB sale page with multiple different breeds all year long. She constantly has puppies: Mini Schnauzer, French Bulldog, Toy Poodle, Chihuahua, Boston Terrier and more I cant think of right now. When she posts a video, all I hear are puppy cries, a lot and loud.
k'la parris there may not be much you can do if all you know is that she sells lots of puppies of different kinds of breeds. If you really think she is running a puppy mill you can contact a local humane society or just go to the police. But remember selling puppies isn't illegal unless she is neglecting or abusing them in someway.
We have a small pound about a 10 minute drive from here, but we dont have any sort of rescues. Its a small town with only a few cops. We dot have people to call if we find a stray dog or someone to help if an animal is hurt. Idk if shes hurting them but i do remember one day she posted about wanting a few pairs of hemostat scissors. Could be harmless, but my mind just jumps to ragged home surgeries. Like she might crop ears and tails herself. Im just scared they're bein mistreated :(
k'la parris not sure what to do then. I would go to the humane societies website and maybe email them. Tell them what you know and they might be able to tell you what's best to do.
It's sad to think that we caused all this suffering. All this perfect breed stuff isn't real. The perfect breed is the one you choose to house and take care of for your own. Not how other people see a certain animal. 😭
Most people choose to buy a certain breed because of their own likes and dislikes, not because of "how other people see a certain animal". It's a fact that different breeds have certain temperaments, and some breeds are better suited to your lifestyle than others. When you get a puppy of unknown origin, you can't prepare for what personality it will have once it grows up. Someone who wants a calm dog might end up with a hyper one and someone who wants a hyper dog might end up with one that just wants to sleep all day. So there is actually a purpose to having breeds. No one ever said that there was one breed that was perfect for all people. But there are breeds that are perfect for certain lifestyles.
down in the southern italian rural country where i live, me and the ma were on our way to a local market, happened to come across a farmer in the fields with his sheep, in a random abandoned house there were 4 puppys, i asked the guy if they were his, he said no, if you want one take one, we waited to see if anyone came for them but they didnt, decided against it for the minute then headed back to the car, to find one of the pups (6-7 weeks old) had scrambled into the passenger side of the car, We decided to take it in, found it to be a girl, called her chica, i expected her to be a small dog, well 4 years later she's hit 35kg of sold muscle and turns out she's a pedigree german pointer in perfect health, no issues anywhere, all the others were picked up by passers-by. A year after we got her our friends male lab and female pitbull had puppies, we got one of them, tyson, he's' an absolute dream, this december just gone we decided to get a 3rd and final dog as where we live there are alot of robberies (criminals, migrants ect) after researching for ages i decided on a cane corso, i went through many breeders before i found the right one, he breeds for the betterment of the corso and bringing it back to its former glory, unlike alot in the us who have bastardised the breed, Has world champion dogs and is very VERY particular when breeding, as with most breeds people tend to fuck around with the temperment, looks ect with disregard for health, SO, loki is now 4 months old, vet is extremely impressed with the time and effort put into him, He is the only dog i put money for and it was worth every penny (being down here wasn't as much as in the uk or us) , but the anti breeding brigade will still not be happy, even though i rescued and abandoned pupster and adopted another form my friend. For anyone asking i AM against unfettered breeding for profit
@@ells1216 I can assure you that not all rescues are like that. We've got two fosters with us as well as our own mutts at the moment and they're amazing dogs. The Collie-Lurcher attacks my living room door whenever someone knocks on the door, but that's because he's very protective of us. Other than that though, he's great. When I have a bad day, he will come up to me and put his paw on my leg, or rest his face on my arm. The Staffy we have at the moment will only do anything for food. He's funny because he wants a treat just for moving out of your way when he gets under your feet. The only real downside of these two are that neither are cat friendly. They go nuts when we're on walks and they see a cat. If they're on harnesses or Halti head harness, then they're easier to control, so I try to avoid using collar and lead combos.
@@ells1216 We've always brought our puppies (staffy, doberman boxer) from babies from breeders and had them till old age, that was over a decade ago though. Not too long ago we decided to get a rescue, a chihuahua x Jack Russel mix, he was absolutely fine in the beginning then one day he randomly lunged, attacked me unprovoked, bit me ferociously. I was his main handler and done everything for him. The next few days he wouldn't eat from me, starved himself and continuously lunged at me, needless to say he attacked my child a few days later. Took him to the vet to see if he was sick, he then tried to attack the vet. He had zero obedience, abysmal behaviour and was dog aggressive. When we got him we were told he was great in all those areas. He ended up going back into a shelter. Everyone's so quick to judge and tell you to adopt, but you need to remember these dogs in shelters had a history before you got them, it's important you know everything so you can better know how to Care for them. Alot of the times these shelters dont know all the history because the dogs might be strays and/or previous owners have lied about the dogs past just to get rid of them. Next month we will pick up our new puppy staff, we've been to see him at the breeders home when he was 2 weeks then at again at 4 weeks, with his whole litter, met the mum and dad. I don't care about people telling me I'm being unethical at this point we tried to do the right thing and it literally bit us in the arse. I've never in my life of having three different breeds of dogs from breeders did I have as much trouble i had with the rescue.
Imagine if something breed humans to be dwarves or to have a face deformaty. It wouldn't make them less human but it would create an evitable problem as these people would have a worse quality of life. This is how I feel about these dog breeds....
"If these were animals being bred for food, we'd be all over this, in Ireland." - Animals "bred for food" are kept in very similar conditions to these dogs. Why protest the way that one animal is treated whilst paying for this to happen to others?
I say if you want a dog or any animal don't be so picky and want a specific breed, just go to a rescue center and go adopt from there and if you see a dog that connects with you, adopt it
It's not about being picky. It is just as bad for the dog as it is for the owner when a dog is placed into a family that can't comply with their specific needs. For example a hyper herding dog mix being adopted to someone who lives in an apartment because no one knew it was a herding dog based on looks. Dogs will often act differently in a stressful environment than it will at home, so a dog that appears calm might actually just be too intimidated by all the noise from the other dogs. And many shelters don't allow people to take dogs home to test how they will behave in a home environment.
Agreed. I just recently got banned from a pet store near me that sells dogs for protesting outside of their location. I couldn't even help myself. I just hope that my message got out to some people and I brought attention to people.
It is not only about beeing picky. For example, I want to adopt a dog and I do have breds that I prefer, because I want a family dog that can adapt to living both în a town and în a village, I want a short haired, big and protective dog . I do have a stray and only had strays till now but I see nothing wrong în buying if you buy from an owner that does not breed to sell but simply had dogs that had pupies and they try to find a home for them, because în my country it is a custom to give money for a dog if you get him from the owner the parents as it is belived this will make the pup live longer and be healty.
Kya Kun It's important to make sure you get a breed compatible with your needs: If you're a low energy person, get a basset hound, not a husky. You'll only be torturing the poor dog. It can be hard to determine if a sheltered mix meets your needs. Just go to a breed focused rescue, same as a shelter.
Please note that not all breeders are cruel. My mum brought her beautiful Siamese cat from a breeder and she was brilliant. They went to see the kittens with their mum and after choosing a kitten,it had to stay with its mum until it had had its first inoculations.Only after it had been weaned of its mums milk was it allowed to be adopted. There are loads of money making breeders out there, people who don't care about the animals, but there are good, caring ones too.
@@sarasthoughts they can still buy a cat if they like, you can't just expect people to give up the pet they love for another. I don't support excessive purebred dogs, but this comment doesn't help the person.

@Heinrich Himmler Puppies are taken from their mother at 4 weeks old so that she can have more puppies. Calves are taken from their mother at 3 days old (usually, sometimes 6 days old) so that we can take all of her milk. Mothers of all species bond so strongly to their children, can you imagine repeatedly going through your child being taken and not knowing where they've gone? I don't think this really counts as having a "good life" until slaughter.
@@katybp21 Most male calves are actually sold to be raised for meat. Only some places kill them when they're calves. And male calves are killed for veal which is apparently going down hill.

Same with my shih tzu hybrid! He was bred with a spitz and also inhertited some maltese from his half shih tzu father! He's 1 now and all his siblings have long snouts
There needs to be so much more awareness about dog breeds and where they come from... And it's so disheartening to see prominent youtubers flaunting their dogs like accessories to show off in videos while their (often very young) fans fawn over them and fuel the trade in a desire to have what their idols have.
Andrew Vlogs I am from Ireland as well and honestly I felt so ashamed or a slight bit of guilt for these dogs but I do hope I get a dog from a good breeder or shelter and I will likely try to convince my mom to go to a shelter instead but if that doesn't work then I guess it will have to be plan b.
It's great that someone is raising awareness about this. I couldn't watch past the 7th minute, it's just too much. I was extremely careful and did my research when I decided to get my puppy in order not to fund similar activities. I would never get a pet from a pet store either - keeping such a young dog or cat in a cage without physical contact with its mother or a human seems too cruel and I am not willing to sponsor it.
I have a Jack Russell x Fox Terrier (maybe some more idk) and we got him from the RSPCA when he was 1. He was incredibly stirred up; biting and growling. His neck hairs were no where to be seen, it was just skin and redness. In a few weeks he grew to love us more and more. And we didn't want to get a dog at that point, we just wanted a look and to see if they have any dogs that stay small (because we wanted an "inside dog"). We suspected that his previous owner had him as a puppy and tied him up with a rope around his neck. We got him for free but we needed to pay for stuff (idk what it's what my parents told me) and all together when we got him, he was $99! He's 3 years old now and doing perfectly fine and some of his hairs on his neck has grown back! It still has skin showing but he's in a much more loving family now. His name is Rocco! ❤️❤️
Its the same system here if you adopt a dog from a shelter. You don't pay for the dog, you pay for the vet that they made your dog go to, and also to cover some of the food they bougt for your dog and other things like that. And then you also have to have your dog sterilised, you have to take lessons, and someone comes once a year to check if everything is OK. They stop coming after a few years if they see that everything is going well.
This breaks my heart, our Cavalier breeder is great but we have dealt with other breeders who were less than honest and the animal was not in ideal shape-I couldn't turn the baby away as all I could think of was SAVE but now I realize I only made the situation worse by purchasing from someone who wasn't trustworthy. Never again, we will be so much more thorough and careful the next time. We did so much research and got referrals and everything but that in the end wasn't enough. Always go to the breeders home and survey the entire area-see the parents and make sure everyone looks amazing. If there is anything wrong just walk away and report it if you find anything that is wrong or you suspect something going on.
Yes, and don't just see the parents. Also see the certificates that prove that the breeding dogs have been tested for all genetic diseases common in the breed that could possibly be tested for. Because as shown in the video, anyone can just pretend to be a happy family who's dog happened to have a litter. I have even heard of cases where they got a stand-in female dog to pose as the mother, so that people who had been told to "look at the puppy with the mother" would be reassured and fall for them.
this is so important! NEVER take an animal out of pity/because you want to save them. It only makes things worse. I'm glad you realized your mistake and that you wrote this comment -- I hope others will see it and learn.
I have no idea how I got from watching a game of thrones breakdown clip to this but I'm glad I did I'm looking for a new doggy. This was very eye opening
@Gi Gi it goes back WAY longer than that. Pugs were bred in ancient China to have wrinkles on their forehead to resemble the Chinese character for the word, "prince." They were the lapdogs of royalty.
@Gi Gi Dog breeding has been around far longer than eugenics. It was a popular practice amongst the upper classes. Besides, the victorian idea of eugenics was surprisingly positive. Along the lines of "hey, we should breed people in a way that makes them stronger and smarter", not "let's see how much we can mess up this dog's face over generations of inbreeding".
well actually i wanted my mom to get one but she said: what if he has some disease? i almost throwed up when she said that.. actually in 2-3 years i plan to get a dog from dogs home not to buy him..
Tell your mom that dogs from shelters are actually much healthier. If you go to a reputable shelter, where the animals are well taken care of, the dog will already be vaccinated and spayed/ neutered. Mutts are healthier, and usually smarter dogs.
Pronoun Pigglet sometimes it's worth getting a puppy but that means you need to find a reputable breeder or through the puppy's of a dog of someone you know
Only buy if you are a true fan of the breed. I love poodles, I read about breeders and just general news about the breed. I buy poodles because I want good examples of the breed to exist. If you just want a cute dog yes adopt!
I really wish that I could have adopted but we have small children, smaller and larger animals etc. We spent 2 years looking for one but we didn't find any which made us really sad 😢 but we did manage to find a puppy
btw just because it says Britain has this problem doesn't mean other countries do I know for a fact unfortunately America has this problem too it's really sad
I still see in 2018 people who want a pet only because they think it's cute, because they saw it somewhere. It's really sad that people see something trending on youtube and want to get it. Everyone should find their own unique pet.
My dog came from an awesome breeder. This was her 2nd litter in 5 years. My dog came health tested, utd on shots and dewormer and a puppy pack. My breeder did not ship and urged me to visit her home to meet my pups parents and grandparents in person. She opened her door, made me some tea and we talked for a nice couple of hours. Going over her breeding program, what she looks for temperament wise all while her dogs laid around on the furniture and watched tv. I could tell her dogs were pets first because they were used to the noise of the house, tell tell dog fur everywhere, mountains of toys and personalized dog dishes with each of their names on it. They had on doggie pajamas and the girls all had bows. They were super friendly and curious about me. She even sent me home after having me sign a spay/neuter contract(among a couple other contracts) with a puppy pack which included a handmade blanket with moms scent, personalized food/water dishes, 4 toys, a sample bag of food, a brush, collar, harness, leash, a bow(my puppy was a girl the boys get bowties), an outfit(it was late fall), a brush and comb, a photo album of my puppy from birth, her weight records, a puppy care packet, a bed, a 10 year Health Guarantee and a carrier. If she was still breeding I would buy from her again. Prospective owners please do your research whether buying from a breeder or shelter.
@@teatime9550 it's best to go on the official Retriever Club Website (for dogs like Labradors, Goldens, ...) or any other OFFICIAL national club for a certain breed. There you can usually find all registered(!) breeders. A good breeder will let you visit the parents or at least the mom. They will also be ready to talk about negative things. I searched for a breeder for 1,5 years until i found a few I wanted to meet. I met one and canceled all other appointments because I was happy with her. We regularly took walks with the breeders dogs, spent time at her home and talked for hours. We also got to visit the puppies once they were old enough. In between the play dates we received photos of all the puppies. We even let her select our puppy since she knows them best. It's important to be able to trust the breeder and for them to be open and honest. Something I loved about the breeder or my puppy is that she is very choosy with her puppies new owners. Do your research!
This is horrible but the whole cycle of what the bitches go through when they are continually impregnated and only live 4 years are exactly what dairy cows go through, if you don't believe it google it. This should not happen to any animal
I agree people can't complain and cause a fuss that these things happen dogs because they're "cute", but be okay when it happens to other animals! Makes no sense AT ALL!
Introducing Rels Ruthie Cows are cute, too!! If you want milk or cheese, buy local! Small dairy farms are typically better to their livestock than the supermarket ones.
As far as I know, most cows don't actually go through that anymore, it's possible to get them to lactate without constantly giving birth. Depends on where you are and what regulations exist though. I'm from Alberta and the vast majority of our cows are at least partly free range (out in a field eating grass and chilling with each other) and treated well. You see them everywhere you drive that isn't a city. I've seen some videos of pretty scary practices from places like the US though, so I get what you're talking about. There are better ways and if we can't figure them out or practice them, we should stop eating the product.
Suchnothing in the future there will just be ways of creating dairy or meat or whatever without killing any animals so we'll just have to wait until then.
ive been raised on a beef and dairy farm all my life, this still goes on...there's no other way to make a mammal lactate other then be impregnated. They take the babies away right as theyre born basically and send them to veal camp. I thought it was just a part of life, something we have to do since i was raised in the industry. It wasnt until i was asked an attempted to kill a chicken that i started to second guess that and go vegan. There's a documentary, "earthings" that explain it better then i ever could.
Why don't people do their research and go to certified breeders? Respectable breeders are more than happy for customers to visit their homes, meet the puppies and be introduced to the puppy's parents 😭 Pets are investments and for life!
Anime Trash what does that I have to do with it I eat meat and I love animals and puppy farms like this make me sick just because your not vegan doesn't mean your cruel to animals. That said I don't understand that persons comment but still eating meat doesn't change your feelings about animals
Sunflower_22 kinda does. I love something so I'm not gonna have it killed so I can eat it. I love my family so I don't kill and eat them same with animals
Here's a thought: to buy a living thing that can feel, like dogs, gerbils, or even fish, you and the people you live with should be required to take a class and get a license in whichever type of animal you want. All of this stuff should be taught in these classes: the work, training, costs, health concerns, how to tell legitimate breeders from criminals, everything puppy mills are, the works. Kids should have a special course with simplified information so they understand. That would cut down on EVERYTHING. Less abandonments because of less people getting animals, the demand would go down because it would take real work to get the animal (there are many people who get animals on a whim), and overall would make the world a safer place.

I got my bichon frise from a KENNEL CLUB approved breeder, who had had her dogs at Crufts. We were patient, and we found the perfect breeder. We saw the mum and the Dad and all her siblings and even met the owner's other German Shepherds which she presented at Crufts. They lived on a farm and were lovely people. Don't settle for a gumtree dog because you're impatient, it isn't kind or fair; go on the kennel club and WAIT.
I agree with you here. Kennel club certified breeders should be the only options. But, I think you are being judgemental in saying that people are "impatient" to "settle" for a gumtree dog. MOST people who buy from gumtree aren't aware of the difference, nor are they aware of the consequences. It's not impatience.
We think we're gods on this earth. Breeding dogs to please us ignoring health issues. The only reasons dogs man best friend is because we made them that way. Wild dogs/wolves would fuck us up.
Odox.FM you need to earn the dogs love and friendship. I treat my two boys with the upmost respect; I treat them like my children, and they treat me like I'm their mom.
Odox.FM well not really early humans and wolves had a mutual friend ship. As years pasted wolves got smaller and smaller created dogs. But when show dogs became really popular in the Victorian area inbreeding and force breeding caused this problem.
If you are getting a puppy, I recommend asking to FaceTime the breeders or to send pictures regularly or to send videos regularly. If they are not keen on doing that, then the puppies are most likely being sold from a puppy farm. You should also report that breeder if you think that they are involved in a puppy farm!!!
My family adopted a pitbull who was abandoned by coke dealers, but we've also bought my Corgi Oswallt from a breeder that 100% legit. They only had three pet Pembrooke's who were all running around the house and were clearly actually pets, one was his mother, and he was with his liter of 7, in an enclosure in the living room, I went and visited him twice before I was allowed to actually bring him home, and he was very healthy. They even kept one of the puppies because it was born with a nipped ear and nobody wanted to buy him (I would have but I just feel in love with the chubby runt) there's even a Fb group where people post pictures of all the corgis they've sold over the years. Adoption is always good and I adopted my rabbit from a shelter too, but we choose a purebred corgi because my little brother is autistic and we needed to make sure the dog had next to zero violent tendencies and was patient with children, would stay small because my mother doesn't like big dogs, was good with the elderly because my grandmother is often home alone with him during the day, and was very energetic and would be a good yard companion for my step-dad and the little guy had all those characteristics and fit the bill. Buying isn't always terrible and just works for some people who have little flexibility about what they can handle. I'm fairly certain i'll be getting a Boston terrier when I move to Boston (Ironically) because they are great city dogs and if I can't adopt one then I'll probably look to purchasing. (The pitbull moved put with my older brother so he isn't in contact with children if there was confusion)
I didn't spend thousands of dollars for a specific LOOK. I spent the money for the size, health, and temperament. The good breeder. I know it wasn't beaten and won't attack my cat. We're not all in it for CUTE.
They’re talking about bull dogs and pugs being bred for being “cute”. Breeding for function is okay, as long as it’s not to the point where a dog lives a life of suffering.
I wanted a specific dog so I found a breeder that raises her dogs in her home. Parents are health tested champions. She is involved in her kennel club and loves every one of her puppies. She is available anytime I need advice. Her goal is to preserve the heritage of the breed and she makes sure her dogs are true to the breed standard. I’m glad I found her.
The excess skin in the soft pallet is not excess it's the normal amount of tissue a dog should have the breeding only shortens the skull not the tissue. Pugs should have short noses not flat
I remember 3 months ago I bought a 9 week old maltipoo puppy online and the day I got her she was a perfect princess and we thought we had done the right decision and if you look at my profile picture you will see that she's in my arms and I am taking a photo with her and the next day as we had her she had thrown up a warm and then we took her to the vet and we found that she had worms and then they decided to look more into her and they found she had Parvo this is all because of us making a stupid decision and buying from a stupid breeder then after 3 days of having she died on a Wednesday night. This is the story of my puppy.Penelope.But seeing a pet store that literally had the cutest smallest puppies but they were perfectly okay but there cages sucked.
Mia Duarte you know it's not your fault tho? I know you would feel horrible that you gave these people your money but the dog would've died anyway; either with you or someone else
Parvo doesnt necissarily mean a bad breeder.... Yes it can but not always... My pug had parvo when he was in his 2nd home at about 3 years old.... We got him shortly after and has no issue since.
where do you think pet stores get puppies from??? Puppy mills. NO good breeder will sell their dogs through a pet store without a home check, without knowing who bought their puppy and where it is going. Good breeders don't let just anyone buy a puppy, at least not without a spay/neuter contract. They don't want their kennel name and lines to be polluted with poor quality dogs.
Heartbreaking to watch... I can't believe how heartless some people are. They should be ashamed of themselves. They are the biggest pieces of Shit and they are disgusting!
Christine_vlogs it does matter. If people kept buying from breeders or from people that get their puppies from a puppy farm, then the number of puppies and animals in general in shelters will increase, and at a point- more shelters may have no choice but to become a kill shelter. I know it's upsetting to see puppies being bred for money but your money by 'saving' those puppies are going to the same people that are breeding them and the cycle will just go on and on.
If you're trying to justify your own dog, stop doing that. You don't need to. Admit your mistake, promise to do better next time, and continue to love the doggo you already have. Buying from these places isn't "rescuing", you're giving those breeders more money to torture more dogs. The industry stops when people like you change your behavior. It's difficult and slow, but it's possible.
Both is ok. But if you go on just looks than it's a problem. Most humans always will go for looks, but it's no excuse to get a pup mill dog or a sick breed.
Some breeders are good. With my dog, an Airedale Terrier, we got to meet his mum, dad and siblings when he was 4 weeks old. We kept up with info about him and his siblings from the breeders online then at 8-10 weeks old we went back to pick one of them to buy. We also got to meet the new litter of puppies from another dog. Yes adopting is also great! I’m not discouraging it one bit.
I got both of mine from breeders. My eldest is 13 this year and was the last of her litter. Nobody wanted her because she had an umbilical hernia, but she's been healthy and happy ever since it was fixed, albeit a bit hyperactive. Age has not mellowed her out at all. The little one just turned 9 last month and only weighs 3lb and everyone is always asking if she's a teacup (no, she's a dog....) even though Yorkies are often tiny dogs. I met her parents and siblings and the breeder even drove us home after I went back to pick her up a few weeks later. She has needed a couple of surgeries on her knees as she's hypermobile and they were causing her pain when walking, but she's otherwise been healthy and happy too and she was insured so most of it was covered. Maybe things are different a decade later, I don't know, but my dogs are proof that not all breeders are evil. Or at least they weren't in the past.
One of my most favourite breeds has been the French Bulldog. It's been this way since I was a little 15 year old girl. I've always told myself that I'd get one in my adult years of life when I had a stable job, stable income, stable home... but things change. You stumble across comments such as "French Bulldogs are a genetic nightmare" and then see videos of disaster dog evolutions. And then suddenly, the idea of adoption instead of designer didn't sound so bad anymore. TLDR; KEEP MAKING THESE DOCUMENTARIES! KEEP RESEARCHING! Keep telling people how much of a genetic nightmare squash-nosed pups are! It could save a life and educate a young soul.
My mum and dad bought 2 pugs online, I love them and they're amazing but I always say if I get a dog then I will go to the shelter and not from a breeder.
As an owner of an adopted Shit Zu, I hate breeders. The first owners brought our Muffin all the way from Thailand and gave him to us within three days after they got to know how high maintenance they were. We even neutered him just like the rest of our street dogs, because its hard to find people who would actually take care of dogs like Muffin in the long run here.
adopt from a shelter or buy from a breeder that you have looked into, researched, met with, saw the dogs, ect. never buy from pet shops. We also need to control who can sell dogs. I feel like any ad put online that isn't from a registered breeder should be investigated immediately.
Yes of course not all should buy; but I believe there should be a balance between. I hate dog farms but if you get dogs from a good reputation breeder, you shouldn't hesitate. I got one of my dobermans from a breeder. The breeder had a good rep and we got many photos of his puppyhood. We rescued one dog, my other doberman Not all breeders a devils, It's terrible. I recommend picking your pup up instead of ordering.
this can be so simply sorted by customers just visiting the puppy with the mother, asking to see vet confirmation of their jabs. job done. The public need to be educated on the safe way to buy a puppy
listening to the woman talking about her dog dying in her arm, made me cry a lot :( I nearly lost my dog twice in the last 2 months and it took 2 surgeries and weeks of daily visits to the vet to help him. I only adopted him (from a rescue centre) last July and I basically cried all of January and February - I'm so sorry she had to go through all this
- Adopt, don’t shop, y’all. It’s usually cheaper, you’ll usually get a healthier animal, you’re not supporting unhealthy and abusive breeding practices, and you’re saving a life. - If you are super set on finding a particular kind of dog, there are many rescue societies for specific breeds. - If you can’t commit long-term, fostering saves lives and shelters will sometimes help cover medical costs for foster animals. - Please also consider adopting an older animal. Adult and senior fur babies need loving homes, too.
My princess is adopted from Romania through a rescue centre over there! When looking for a pup I did so much research to help find the right one and avoid a mill pup at all costs x
When I went to get my dog, I was SO relieved to see his mother there as well. She was a breeding dog who was rescued from a puppy mill while she was pregnant and now I have my Gibson❤️ the mother was adopted as well! Thank you for this video, it’s a problem that people NEED to be more aware of. Also I just wanted to say, I’ve never seen a sadder dog than that poor pug after his surgery😭 it made me want to cry, he shouldn’t have to go through that.
I have a rescue Jack Russell cross and he is the best dog ever. He does 'snore' but only when he is really comfortable and he is perfectly fine. Always adopt xx
Puppies are for life, not just for christmas. REMEMBER THAT!!
EpicRexx Bubble! You made my day with that quote 😊
EpicRexx nothing to do with puppy farms

Puppies become dogs in a year. After a year you could ditch them. I just exposed a loophole in your statement.
Don Hyon why ruin the mood?
Not for life, approximately a year.
Dragon Girl awe you go! You're great, when I'm older I'll get a dog like that.
Dogs know, he knew you were a good person because you didn't judge him because of his appearance. He's so loyal and thankful that you took him in, knowing not many would.
Or they adopt the wrong dog for their lifestyle! Like a hunting or herding breed... And the owners never exercise them.
Dragon Girl It also makes me so sad to see people pass up senior animals in favor of “cuter” puppies and kittens.
ActiveAnimals Thank you for pointing that out. I wouldn't have considered it if you hadn't.
Always make sure if you buy you ask to see the puppy's with mum as well. Especially if the look really young
at 12:00 is shocking just how quiet that kennel full of puppies are. That's horrifying. Puppies should be squealing just hearing someone walk by, much less having two people talking right outside the door. That's the saddest thing
They are very young, dehydrated or sick, so possibly that's why no squeeling
Andrea Wally that’s what i was saying. Those poor puppies are so neglected that even when placed in proper care they’re still dead silent. They’re exhausted from the abuse they’ve encountered their entire lives b
Had to stop watching an influencer because she kept fawning over her teacup dog. They're deliberately prematurely born so they'll stay under developed and she didn't see anything wrong with that because her dog was "healthy".
😮💔😔
Ughhh i hate when influencers j get dogs for the aesthetic instead of realising that they're actual living beings
What’s the channel?
No they are bred from small dogs (runts of the litter). Not premature. So eventually they become smaller and smaller.
@@avenger8399 except for the fact that high demand and an already prevalent issue with puppy mills means that a lot of "breeders" do practice things that result in premature, malnourished or otherwise severely unhealthy puppies to end up with a smaller dog in the end. All are true. I simply stated the worse scenario.
Wow, kudos to her for admitting her mistake and spreading this important message!
Oftentimes when you know better, you do better. Kudos indeed.
I feel so bad for mini and teacup dogs they are so weak and have so many health problems and are inbred so much. Adopt don't shop.
KingDaKai NY agree with the teacup statement but not with the last , Ive both adopted and have got a lot of dogs from veey reputable breeders
KingDaKai NY Yep. My rescue teacup yorkie passed away this February. I’m glad I gave him seven more years of life but he was hurt pretty bad before I got him
Not all adopted dogs are healthier than ones you buy from breeders. It depends on genetics and how they were bred.
If the breeder don't have any demands of you as an owner or ask you any questions, that puppy is likely a mill puppy.
This is so true, I breed rats and ask 100 questions to everyone who comes to me and refuse them if they dont answer ...
They were found on the side of the road in a plastic bag when they were babies, the vet rescued them and gave them to us. I miss them so much. Do many people get rats off you? I didn't think there was much of a market for them.
@@km9378 Poor loves, I'm glad they got a good home with you :-)
And I'm not a proper breeder, it was more of an accident with one boy escaping and impregnating my girls ahha! But in the UK theres a huge demand
Also if you can't visit the site where the animals are bred is a red flag
Thankfully Scotland is enforcing a law that stops breeding these designer dogs!
Good old Scotland
I didnt know that but I'm so glad to hear it.
@@matricedevito7123 They are mainly trafficking the dogs on ferries from Ireland to England, so there's not much Scotland can really do about that.
that’s good, I hope they secure their borders as well
Sonata Shinome From bringing these dogs over from breeders overseas? Me too.. I suppose that’s the next step now! I’d be happy to question my MP’s on it x
Good old Scotland
It baffles me, I have friends who go for certain breeds KNOWING they've been bred to have horrible health problems and they don't seem to care.
😮💔😔
The cruelty of people is astonishing sometimes.
it's so sad that the popular dogs are the most deformed and sick... its heartbreaking how those pugs and frenchies cant even breathe! they also have many skin issues... rescue mutts are the best! and they can be small and absolutely adorable too! there are so many of them!
Lol my rescue border collie is massive and she is only 10 months! And a bit dumb, for a border collie...
Rescue mutts are often just as badly bred.
@@km-wd8ke Most "purebred dogs" are not purebred, there are many cases where people think they have a purebred dog but were lied to. Unless you're going for a show dog, even then, the inbreeding of "purebred" dogs happens so often I doubt there really is such a thing as a "purebred" dog. If a dog was truly purebred, it would be a miracle that they're alive right now. (Also it's very hard to get a so called "purebred" dog from a reputable source. The diseases causes a simple paper cut to be fatal, since one affected by it can die from blood loss. This disorder was very common due to recessive traits being passed down due to inbreeding. ninefivesixteen Yeah, my sister-in-law basically just wasted a lot of money- she probably paid several hundred if not a few thousand for an English bulldog puppy and I just found out they're one of the least healthy breeds and they only live about 6 years. Stop breeding these brachycephalic breeds like pugs and English bulldogs; we're making living beings live horrific, shortened lives for our aesthetic preferences!
ninefivesixteen There are so many puppies that are in the animal shelter in the world, why would anyone want buy an animal.
Iona Unicorn Mclean
Do you know where shelter dogs come from?
There is no need to insult someone for saying the truth.
animalobsessed1 I can't. Believe. You.typed.all.that. lmbo!
Well, you say that they aren't treated better than production hens, but consider that production hens should be treated better than that as well.

Ignorance
Exactllllly
corsican lulu you’re ignorant. There are actual families who are looking to sell puppies as they can not look after them, why just leave them for dogs from shelters that can be afforded and looked after by shelters already?
1. Meet the mum (and dad if possible)
2. Make sure that the breeder is KC registered
But if you can you should adopt
G H I thought you said KFC
G H we always either buy puppies from kc registered breeders or adopt

B Kind but these dogs are dying too we need to save all dogs weather getting from a shelter or a store we need to rescue all of them
But buying them from breeders and scammers doesn't save them, it perpetuates the industry. If no one buys them from the industry, they end up in shelters. Then you can adopt them there :D
Christine_eava buying dogs from a puppy mill just because they need to be “saved” from their awful environment is just going to feed the evil people who are just going to keep doing it for the profit.
B Kind I hope to but some people won't
Do research and buy from a reputable breeder if you really want a certain breed, dont buy designer dogs at all and rescue if you just want a friend and aren't bothered about a breed

They can blame Ireland,Hungary etc for all they want but the problem comes when the uk is willing to pay a ridiculous amount for dogs ,a French bulldog in Ireland is about 1000 in England they can go for excess of 6500 ,the public need to realise that they are contributing to it ,importing a dog by courier yourself from a responsible breeder in Ireland is far cheaper easier and healthier
Timmity3 - yes, it’s disgraceful here in Ireland. Don’t get me started on greyhound racing!!!
A bulldog in Sri Lanka would go for about Rs 50,000 which is about 200 pounds and they aren't even considered that pretty here.
I traveled to Germany to for a good breeder! I have a pug I payed £800 for her and I didn’t want to buy from England as there high demand and more prone to come from a bad place.
Scarlett Horses As I said before, adopting from a rescue centre/shelter is best...
Victoria Salter It’s not “best” it’s what you want to do, and what you think is right. If you want to adopt that’s ok if you want to shop go head but there is no right and wrong. Unless you obviously buy from a bad place.

What about one of those dogs

@Jenette M That's awful
This is why I will never buy a dog. Adopt a shelter mutt- they're healthier and you're saving a life!
it is true that crossbreeds are healthier but I have always been wary of shelters since we lost our cat. they said he was perfectly healthy, vet checked, but had a glaringly obvious terminal heart problem :(
Brachycephalic dogs aren't the only breed of dog out there.
Don't by dogs, adopt them in shelters !
they aren't always mutts either
phoenix_ rising contrary to populad belief, mutts are actually nof healthier.
There are people like Gigi and Fousey who got rid of their dogs once they weren't puppies anymore
Right! I hate that, I would never give up my dog no matter what especially if I had that much money!
I didn't know Fousey did that!!! When?
That seems extremely stupid to me. The animal finally stops needing to pee every two hours and messing up your house, and that's when you decide to give it away. I'd be glad my pup is finally old enough- not to mention all the things one can do with an adult dog that a puppy would never be able to, like dog sports and teaching complicated tricks.

Report it
I would call your county animal control and ask to do a wellness check

Adopt.
Purebred does not always mean well-bred. Do your research people. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO YOUR DOG'S FREAKIN NAILS!!!
Let’s be fair, the obsession with certain breeds existed long before social media.
Excatly well said
....But it's thr platform that's being used now.
Buying pets is unethical. If you're going to get a dog take one in from a dogs home.
well actually i wanted my mom to get one but she said: what if he has some disease? i almost throwed up when she said that.. actually in 2-3 years i plan to get a dog from dogs home not to buy him..
Cheese Lover Girl well duh

What website did you find her on? Because right now I’m looking on kennel club for trusted breeders
Hope Kew. That's what I did when I got my puppy I got to see the father and the mother both of them happy with there pups
ArcticFoxesRule11 that is the way you do it
Hope Kew even certefied breeders lie sometimes...
all animals are equal
Lev Myshkin do you eat meat?
Anime Trash what does that I have to do with it I eat meat and I love animals and puppy farms like this make me sick just because your not vegan doesn't mean your cruel to animals. That said I don't understand that persons comment but still eating meat doesn't change your feelings about animals
Sunflower_22 kinda does. I love something so I'm not gonna have it killed so I can eat it. I love my family so I don't kill and eat them same with animals
Sunflower_22 do you know exactly how they mass kill the animals? Unless you get your meat humanly I will not listen to what you have to say.
Anime Trash I actually do get humanely killed meat they live happy lives

This should be the Top Comment, SDa!!!
That poor Pug...his tongue is as long as his JAWS OUGHT to be.
Actually they sponsor mill pups. Least in the USA. You need a track record with breeders here.
Pets are NOT accessories!!! They're living beings!
I like this quick docco because it raises awareness of the issues these dogs face but it never once mentions adoption. That's a giant oversight!
I adopted a corgi pup from my no kill SHELTER. It's near solciforst please adopt from there, there are sooo many dogs there that need homes!!
Im not spending thousands of dollars for a dog to look a certain way when shelter dogs are just as cute
@@MilwaukeeWoman 👎👎👎👎👎👎✊
Stop judging people who shop instead of adopt. Have you got kids, or will you adopt them?
My dog is one of the ugliest dogs I know, but we paid thousands for him because we wanted his personality
As an Irish person the fact that this happening in my country is horrific
My thoughts are with those poor puppies who never asked for this life
Is it still happening?
Mia Duarte Puppies in pet stores is always bad, because they don't get the interaction with their mum, litter mates and people they need.
This is why my family and I choose to rescue from the local shelter or animals that come to us from the street.
Same.
Grace is always in my mind. I pray she gets through this coma! Now I get recommended this. Come on Gracie pull through
you should never buy a dog on impulse >~
Heartbreaking to watch... I can't believe how heartless some people are. They should be ashamed of themselves. They are the biggest pieces of Shit and they are disgusting!
I live in the US but i will never buy from a shop i have always adopted
Same here
It's almost just as bad here.. maybe as bad but they are hiding now
ADOPT DON'T SHOP
Cat we need to save these puppies as well doesn't matter if we get them from shelters or a shop we need to rescue them no matter what
Christine_vlogs it does matter.
Can I just point out that not all breeders are evil and put their dogs through hell...
Gladissims I agree! Why do people always think all breeders are irresponsible!
Andddddd this is why I adopt
My family bought a dog and just the thought of him going through this brakes my heart
Please adopt dont shop
And look at the personalit
Y no
T the looks
Both is ok. But if you go on just looks than it's a problem. Most humans always will go for looks, but it's no excuse to get a pup mill dog or a sick breed.
Some of these poor dogs are so inbread that they struggle to breath
Breathe. Not breath
Never had a puppy, just "broken" rescue dogs.
My mum and dad bought 2 pugs online, I love them and they're amazing but I always say if I get a dog then I will go to the shelter and not from a breeder.
Where did they buy them, do you know?
I knew puppy mills were a problem in the US, but this is crazy!
Not just puppies but also adult dogs who r suffering too
As an owner of an adopted Shit Zu, I hate breeders.
We rescued one dog, my other doberman Not all breeders a devils,
It's terrible. I recommend picking your pup up instead of ordering.
I'm balling my eyes out holding my dog so tight 😢
Miss Kelly always hold your pets close- you never know when you might loose them ❤️
❤️
this can be so simply sorted by customers just visiting the puppy with the mother, asking to see vet confirmation of their jabs. job done. The public need to be educated on the safe way to buy a puppy
Do Lah preach!!!
listening to the woman talking about her dog dying in her arm, made me cry a lot :( I nearly lost my dog twice in the last 2 months and it took 2 surgeries and weeks of daily visits to the vet to help him.
Rescue dogs from other countries needs to stop. We have enough dogs over here
Thank you for bringing light and awareness. Animals are such a large part of our lives but we don't think of these things on the surface.
no one shouldn't be breeding dogs to make them cuter for the public. leave these beautiful animals alone!
🙀 I found Shaw? 🤣
I have a rescue Jack Russell cross and he is the best dog ever. He does 'snore' but only when he is really comfortable and he is perfectly fine. Always adopt xx
