This is my attempt at covering the new song from BB. This was a lot of fun to learn, and I hope everyone enjoys. Thanks.

In the music video, they guy is playing a 4 and using a pick. I know slapping when I hear it, puzzled the shit outta me. Great playing brother

it could very well be a synth in the recording too. it sounds more like a midi track than a real bassist. i dont think the current band was even around when most of this album was recorded... so that would make sense

Nice cover man, although i just saw a video of Aaron himself demonstrating this song and apparently everything is slapped in this song, also some strumming with the hand, nothing is fingerpicked.
Shadow Doffy this is more my style of play. I play heavy finger style, and the guitar riff is much more interesting than just slapping root notes. But I get what you mean. Thanks for watching.

Hey, great job. Sorry to ask, but how did you play the audio and record video and have them play back so nicely?

I recorded the audio through an m-audio fast track interface into garage band. while recording the audio this way, I used the kinemaster app to record the video. once I had a good take, I downloaded the audio track as an MP3 into iTunes, sent the track to my phone, loaded it into the app and matched it up with the video. all I had to do was trim the video and synch the audio.

Have you considered making tabs for this song? That would help me out a lot. Also can you explain the technique on slapping the low A# with your thumb to me? I've never done that before
Christian Strain Hey thanks for watching! I actually found a really accurate guitar tab on another site and just mimicked that for the parts I could not figure out (the main riff of the song). As someone else pointed out, the BB bassist just plays an open A# in that riff, but I like the guitar part better so I play it instead. As far as the slapping goes, I am striking the string with my thumb and pinkie finger. I am not a very good slap player, so I just worked on the timing until I got the speed as close as I could. Once I had the speed down, it was really the same as playing with a pick.
Is the tab you used identical to the way you played it here? Or just for the parts you couldn't figure out? Also, could you link the tab you used? Thanks

Ehy, nice cover. A question. How it's called the technique that you use in the 00:30 ? Seems a slap bass but alternating fingers. And how I can apply? Or any tutorial?.

If your saying how it sounds like he’s slapping it than I think you just turn your mids down on the amp and turn the treble up.

Why do you put that cloth thing right below the headstock? I've seen multiple people do it but I don't know why
it helps reduce some of the string buzz. kinda makes everything sound a little tighter.
