- It's been 3 years since I last had an overseas holiday with my family, so I thought what better chance to get the entire family out of Perth than to take them with me to Singapore for the 2022 Singapore GP. That's why this vlog will be a little different to my normal F1 travel vlog, because instead of just myself talking to the camera, I have involved everyone I'm travelling with!
Now I must say that not everyone is attending the Singapore Grand Prix with me, although I am bringing my youngest son Jayce to work with me in the Singapore Paddock. After we finish at the Singapore GP I'll also be taking everyone straight from Singapore to Tokyo for the 2022 Japanese GP. Without further ado, here's how I dragged my entire family to the Singapore GP

It’s funny that Kym’s family is not as up to speed going to the airport as he is… He’s a pros pro for traveling.

Can’t spend them at the moment. Qantas won’t open up too many international flights.

I love the idea of flying business class in an old-school punk T-shirt. If I ever get the money together, I might try it myself one day. And a distant F1 race is the biggest reason to do it (though Canada would be my prime target).
I'm Canadian so I'm curious why Canada is your prime target and where are you from?
Montreal is a great city to visit there's so much to see and do there, it's expensive but everywhere is expensive these days.
If the race is in early July again next year, and you like to party I'd go a bit early because Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day is, I think, on the last Saturday of June and it's a province wide party that is legendary.
Oh yeah it's got a great track and really easy and smooth running transit system.
@@aberamagold7509 I live in London, but here's why I want to go to this one in particular.
1) It's one of my favourite tracks to watch on TV.
2) Canada always seems so inviting - I don't care much for 'hot and humid' or authoritarian regimes, so this seems the best option for feeling comfortable.
3) I have a friend who migrated there and doesn't live that far away - and I know in Canada, one place is often far from another, so this is a plus!

I liked how your review of the Southern Comfort at the bar at 10am, followed up with a review of the breakfast bar. After all it is after midday some where in the world.

I like seeing how the Australian Desert meets the sea at 5:31, knowing that Asia is just a short hop across the ocean. I particularly like seeing all the mine sites at night when flying back into Australia.

Great post. We flew Qantas BC to Singapore on way to Europe out of Perth as well. They were great. Food and service was spectacular. Best seats to sleep on. Were our favourite airline out of all the BC flights we took. Order of greatness. Qantas. Turkish. Emirates. Singapore. Aegean. Flew home Sunday on Singapore on Sunday of F1. Picked up covid on flight home and currently doing isolation. Great way to finish of 7 week trip lol

When I was working in F1, Japan and Oz were a twined at the end of the season.
I’d fly to Singapore or Hong Kong, go up to Japan for Suzuka, back to Singapore or Hong Kong between the races and then down to Oz for Adelaide.
I was lucky to stop once in Tahiti on the way out, and come back through New Zealand and Fiji.
Kym’s second shortest trip was by far my longest . . .

Ahhh on the Black Rapid straps.. yes indeed they are excellent to carry camera gear but when the hook wears down after years of service you cannot replace it, even though the straps are in perfect condition!

Qantas pushed PER ! Airport for its international flights to depart from T4 so they could offer better connections (rather than the horrible bus that goes between)
But at some point in the future, the plan is for a new terminal next to T1/T3 completing the loop, so all the airlines will be co-located.

Blackrapid straps are great got my 1st one about 10years ago the RS7 Strap, after using one i will never go back to using a standard neck strap for DSLR/mirrorless with larger lens like 70-200 f2.8, for mirrorless and prime lens like 35 f1.4 nokton or pentacon 50 f1.8 , i sometimes use standard neck strap but kinda to troll people, as i stick a Nikon strap on a Fujifilm XT4 or Canon strap on a Sony A7II.

Wow I couldn’t believe I didn’t know you lived in Perth! I live in Perth and I’ve been following all your vids for a while now and I’m an absolute F1 crazy fan I watch every practice, qualifying and race(perfect time for Perth on Sunday nights not too late, great way to end the weekend)

That’s such a dated plane which for a short trip Perth-Singapore ok I can understand but when you said it’s the same for Perth-London, I couldn’t believe it. They need to get some new A350s or B777s, or even a 787 to Singapore at least.

When I landed in Perth on an international flight with Qantas, the no birds higher car couldn’t find where to pick me up until they realised I was at T4. It didn’t used to be like this. Did it?
I saw Tyler running at the back of the pit grandstand during the rain on Sunday night. Didn’t get a chance to say gday before he ran off.
Was he being chased by security?
