That's an awesome tutorial, I already know how to download and put models in my srb2 folder. But this tutorial might help players in the SRB2 Community.

Same here. It's the moded characters like shadow etc. that are not 3D any more for some reason.

I've extracted the files and everything yet nothing still has worked. I'm trying to get the modern sonic 3D model yet I have had almost no luck. People have told me to do something with the notepad and now I'm just really confused on what to do.

Did you copy over the new models.dat/notepad file that came with the models? If not you have to place it into your base SRB2 folder not the models file, then it should work.

I did exactly as instructed (opengl stuff too), yet it still doesn't work. the files in the models folder are there as well as the appropriate data in the models.dat file, what am I missing?

I have a question so uhm I did what the video said but uhh I go to video options and it doesn’t show the option enable 3d models also I go to models at the srb2 file and it says the models are there

Make sure Opengl is on
scroll to the bottom and find opengl options
then it should be there
