Skullclamp does not work with Horobi out on the board as the creature would die due to the target before being equipped. Skullclamp has been replaced by Grave Pact. Also, Liquimetal Torque will turn any permanent into an artifact which you can then turn into a creature with the Poltergeist and Karn.
@@stevolam182 No, Karn Silver Golem. But he has been cut in the new version I built. Then again it is a way different version no longer focused on reanimating.
@ K'rrik's third ability doesn't target anything (it lacks the word "target", for example, and the text "K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth" doesn't identify any targets) (C.R. 115.1d; compare K'rrik with Primeval Bounty) (review C.R. 702.18a; see also C.R. 115.10a).
I have a Horobi deck too. Not built similar to yours, but of course there are still the Horobi staples in common. Lol. Something fun - I morph Gift of Doom onto Horobi to protect him cuz I'm Tricksy. 😅
im building a horobi deck rn, since there is no real wincon in these decks i looked it up. I found a really interesting budget deck from commander quarters with a massive lifedrain wincon. For example peer into the abyss and underworld dreams killing people instantly. Horobi is managing everything else by killing stuff.
It is! I did have it in the deck. The only reason I cut it is because it's at sorcery speed and the ones in this deck are not. I might add it again if I feel the deck needs more pieces. Thank you!
I prefer my cards to be repetitive so I can mow down everything every turn and if I activate something to target and they destroy it, I can activate again and again and again in response. All you options are free but they are once per turn. I also dropped veilstone amulet bc it really wasnt good enough in the list tbh. Id love to share my list with you if you're interested.
My list has been updated since then. I'd love to see yours. I've changed the deck to where it doesn't need horobi in the late game. It actually has win cons now and is less of a reanimator/steal deck
@@OllyWood688 actually, it won't. Horobi's ability is not targeting and Akroma's Memorial gives protection from black. Horobi's ability says when a creature is targeted destroy that creature. Dont you target on cast? so Vielstone Amulet, when someone casts a spell targeting a creature, the horobi trigger goes on the stack before you are able to do anything?
@@nelsikegaming Ah I see, the second you cast a spell horobi is protected preventing your opponents from targeting horobi even at instant speed. Sounds cool but you have to always make the first move which is difficult because your opponents have priority of their turns
@@ShimonDasgupta that's right! But atleast they can only target one thing (which most likely will be Horobi 😂). We can always get him back from the grave though
