This time, Japanese polyglot spoke 13 languages. I got BEST reaction of the year! They got extremely shocked when I speak their native language. This video is so funny and wholesome, so without a doubt my favorite.
Currently, I speak 13 languages, which I studied properly. These are English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Indonesian, Russian, Hindi, German, Turkish, Chinese, Thai, Korean, and Polish. And now I'm learning Tagalog! Apart from that, I speak Japanese for sure, which is my native language.
Furthermore, I know a tiny bit of Italian, Swedish, Romanian, Farsi, Swahili, Tagalog, Burmese, Geogian, Finnish, Uzbek, Kazakh and Bengali!
Of course, my skills of these languages are still far from sufficient.
The thing I value the most, however, is the attitude to trying to know their culture.
Interacting with people from different background is an eye-opening experience and that makes me really happy.
I wanna inspire people to learn different languages.

Totally. Kazuma hasn't changed a bit over the years (except for becoming conversational in a new language every few weeks)! Kazu is the most fun and the most family viewable polyglot (which matters a lot to a man not yet 50 homeschooling a couple little polyglots). If you know any of the reputation of OME, this is another huge feat.

My sister married a Swiss and her kids are Swiss. I’ve been there many times. I can appreciate why the Swiss evolved a dialect incomprehensible to Germans. They learn high German in school, but they speak their own language otherwise. Although I have to say that my best experiences in the country were in the south, speaking Italian to the locals. When I switched from German to Italian in a bistro in Lake Como, the waitstaff relaxed their vibe and expressed their relief. I don’t know what that means exactly, but it was an interesting cultural experience. They were so happy when I switched languages I remember the encounter 35 years layer. Kazuma demonstrates this power of language in every video. It means a lot to people when you make an effort to communicate in their native tongue.

This is a very common phenotype in Germany, especially south of Lower Saxony. Look at haplo breakdowns of Europe, Germany is a cross section of every surrounding country similarly to Belgium. Which is obvious if you are at the center of the most mobile continent.

Ahaha yes, that's true! The tip to shorten the mental distance would be to use actively slangs except for rude ones!
and accent helps out a lot in that regard, too. goes right to the people's hearts
I've been absolutely binging your videos for the past 2 weeks or so and I must say you are such a beacon of motivation to motivate me to keep studying languages as well. Been studying Japanese for 4 years and feel comfortable with how I can use it but you always remind me there is still so much more to practice. Love the videos so much you really are one of a kind with how many people you make smile everyday in every area of the world not many people in the ENTIRE world can say they do the same.
Also I just noticed but Kazu actually wears the same Beatles sweatshirt every time he films a video without fail guess its a good conversation starter or something

Hi Kazuma, great video as usual no doubt about it..the malaysian girl you met most probably from the state of sabah or sarawak where their accent quite similar with indonesian..in Malaysia every states have their own accents and it's quite interesting too..

ポーランド人の彼は日本神話にも詳しそうだし凄いな～、ポーランドは日本祭りもあるみたいだしテレビにも出ていたルルちゃんとか日本の建築や錦鯉にも興味ある女性もいたので非常に親近感がありますね。歴史的にもシベリア残留孤児の救済事業もあったのでより親日なのかもしれませんね。
はい！日本語を勉強始まった時にまだ珍しかったですが今のところでアニメにだけじゃなくて日本の文化に興味を持っている人はとても多いです！
祭りに関してはちょうど今月にポーランドの一番大きい日本のお祭りがあります！よさこいとか剣道の試合とか日本のいろいろな食べ物があって楽しみしてます！今年はやっとお客としていくかもしれないし （笑）

熱田神宮では三種の神器の草薙剣を祀ってありますが、仰るように出雲でヤマタノオロチを倒して剣を手に入れたのがスサノオなのでスサノオも祀ってます。 後にヤマトタケルも東征の際に使ったのでヤマトタケルも祀ってる感じです。

I would absolutely love to be able to do this and talk to people in their own languages around the world. i wish it was easier but like the one girl said, i get bored after a solid few weeks of studying then stop :(
