It's very satisfying watching a beginner learn how to do things. The challenge of learning the "rhythm" of planing or sawing is seldom seen on most channels. Thanks for sharing!
Sarah, the new glasses are way cool! It looks like it will not be to long now tell James sits behind the desk and Sarah will give the live demos. LOL The bench is looking Awesome!!
@@sarahwright7354 prove that you can use them! We all believe in you! My parents didn't let me get a lot of tools but I proved to them that I can use them correctly and safely even tho I'm 14, as always x loved seeing you, Sarah and great work!!
Nicely done the two of you, how you're not actually dead yet James, I cannot understand :-D This comes at a pertinent time as trying to figure out what/how I was going to do the legs for my bench and wanted it to be able to disassemble.
How many benches has Sarah made now? I was watching a live video from a couple of years back and she'd been doing drawbore tenons (I think) on a bench then.
1st, it will be a bit shorter once the bottom of the legs are flush cut to the floor. 2nd, it is Sarah's bench, what if she wants Cat holes instead of dog holes? 3rd, please don't make her (or us) wait a year for yhe next installment on her bench (unless she needs some physical therapy to recover from the brass-backed saw)😉 4th, it's looking good, and I kinda figured she'd get the bridge plane anyway.
My hearing is not what it used to be and I had to go back twice and listen to what you said at :08 to make sure you said "bench". What I thought you said the first time would have lead to this video being evidence of a murder!
Thank you! If I were younger, and still had good joiints, I would give all this a try. But, I don't. So I will just have to enjoy watching makers like you. Sarah, is it just me, or are you greyer at the end, than at the beginning?
I love this series.
James. Watching you two work made me smile, laugh, and think that you two are adorable together. Great to see fun and laughter in the shop. Blessings.

nice bench lots of fun good on you!
It is great to watch both of you working together. Thanks for sharing this.
Sarah’s bench is looking awesome! Great job, Sarah!
I really love this bench design!
It's the Wrights show!!! Good video!!
Well Done Sarah. I'm really impressed at your mortise chiseling skills.
Love it Wrights!!! Congrats Sarah taking over the show! Great looking workbench!!!
Its nice to be a beginner when your spouse has bought all the good tools.
Hahahahaha
But he doesn't always let me use them 😔

@@sarahwright7354 I'm waiting to see Pink tools !!
Thank you both for the video series!
That's a really nice bench. Once Sarah gets promoted to master craftsman, you can simply remove the vice and use it as an outdoor dining table.
Good job, Sarah!

Great fun!!!
Beautiful work, both of you! 😃
You know, James... The secret of marriage is exactly that: keep her happy!
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Very Nice Job You Guys 👍
Was waiting for this one 🤩🤩🤩🤩
I have to go back and rewatch because I need a knock down bench due to regular relocation because of my day job

Same bench, just slow progress.
WAY TO GO Sarah!
Sarah, great job on the bench. Also, who is that helper with you? 😂❤❤

Yes. It'll be a bit shorter. I'll be lopping about an inch off of them.
Need to upgrade the show name to “Wood by Wrights”. 👍😍
No apostrophe.
Thank you
More videos with Sarah
I think she is now a fixture.
I like the part when you drilled James’ head
What angle are you using for the legs in relation to the top? I know this is a year old video so I may not get an answer. Have a LARGE day!
The angle is "about that much" we just set the bevel gauge to something that looked good. Something around 75 degrees. Give or take 10.

Haaaaa ! When woodworking virus takes you.... James you're a devil !!! 😈😇 Ha Ha Ha !!! 😁😁😁😁😁
Lol, isn't that little plane the one you said was useless?
I did not say useless. Just very few uses. That is for a person with normal hands.
So why is ‘ Starry Night’ under the photo of space?
That is another hobby of mine. Diamond art.
Where are parts 1 and 2?

It's probably due to a shorter haircut and working so long on this project with James. Lol. Actually, he'd be the grayer one.
Wait - the top and the legs aren't actually CONNECTED?
Oh, I see. Future video. Ok, well, BRING IT ON - we want it.
Not at that point. The final video will be coming out on Saturday.
@@WoodByWrightHowTo Oh, excellent. That's much better than a year or so... :-)
Looking forward to it. Editing the video as we speak.
OUR shop? Careful you don't get relegated to "James presents Cooking & Kitchens by Wright"! Or Laundry By Wright !
Actually James is a pretty good cook.
Sarah won't let me do the laundry. But I do my own.
