    Oh
    Lisa. I'm so thankful for this podcast. My husband of 23 years walked out on my boys and me on January 25, 2020. Life was so very hard and scary. Not knowing how I would take care of my boys and myself on disability. God is redeeming my story, it's a process I'm doing my best to actively participate in. This podcast gave me more tools to help. I pray that God continues to bless and prosper you.

    Thank you for sharing, my story has felt similar to Lysa’s and so it’s been immensely helpful to listen to this. My soon to be ex husband cheated on me a lot and begged for forgiveness and then renewed his vows to our kids and me and then eventually left me anyways, it’s felt crushing.

    I love this talk about resiliency and "don't", and "can't". My foster grandchildren often say "I can't" about something that they may not even have tried. I encourage them to change the script to " I will try". When they do, I can see the boost in their self esteem and hopefully resiliency

    And here's a verse that the Lord gave to me this morning, having to do with resiliency; a promise for those who persevere: "I know all the things that you do, and I have opened a door that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me. ... Because you have obeyed my command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world. I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have so no one will take away your crown."
    Rev. 3:8-11

      @@ramtuffmama8060 So sorry to hear about your situation. We just celebrated 42 year. So many ups and downs. I can only imagine how devastating it feels to have made it this far and then, crash! There's been many times the deceiver has tempted me to pack it in; and my husband's a good man generally!! But we are so different and money has been so tight most of those years. Only Jesus gives me hope and a future at those times. Here's another verse that I've held onto many times: "Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later." Romans 8:18

    9:43 - 10:03 speaks so much to me, especially in thus day in age. It seems like women go after God's heart and will more passionately then men do. It's like God sees a womans determination to be near to him and he protects and blesses her for it. It's like men can see how close women are to God and it makes them jealous and they try to take that relationship away from women. Great video. Real eye opening.

    In the movie World War Z...the expert is talking about viruses and he says something like..."The thing that seems to be the most cruel about the virus often is it's weak point." This is kind of what Lysa was talking about...often, in the hardest things you find the hidden strength that God has given you and you grab it and move forward as a bad A. (Like Lysa).

    We cannot understand the passages about women in the N T, unless we understand how the Jewish religion of Jesus' day put women down. A rabbi, named Eliezer said, “Rather should the words of the Torah be burned than entrusted to a woman". However Jesus taught women! Martha met Mary at the time of Lazarus's death and said "The TEACHER is asking for you. We can only understand this, and how radical Jesus was, if we understand the Pharisaical religion of the day.

    I'm wondering why you keep saying in your videos that Jesus first spoke those words to Martha. How do you know he hadn't just spoken them to Mary and friends before Martha walked into the room to complain? With all due respect think you're going on an assumption.

    • @abbasgirl8153
      @abbasgirl8153 7 місяців тому

      With all due respect, you are in the wrong setting. Jesus told Martha that in John 11, when she went to Him after Lazarus died. She met Him before He came into the house, she went to meet Him.
