I carry 10 ltr fuel can instead of sand ballast . Also I`ve added extra brackets , 6 in all and they`re welded . Been on for years no problems . Like your videos .
If you have to weigh your sidecar down you shouldn't be riding an outfit !!! Sell it immediately to someone who is competent with a sidecar on their bike before you hurt yourself or somebody else.
He said, until you get used to riding in handling it in a vase, avoid weighing the Sidecar down What is only for making it easier to learn how to handle and keep it under control. When you’re learning that I thought that was good advice.
Great start point for the basics.
Yea, every sidecar rig is unique… hard to be real specific.
Thanks for watching!
Great presentation. I keep flip flopping between getting a Ural, or mounting a rig to one of my bikes, might end up doing both lol.
Haha can never have too many sidecar rigs… and motorcycles! Urals been coming out with great rigs

A spare fuel can is far more clever than bags of dirt!
Let’s add sidecars to EVERYTHING!
The world would be a happier place 🤩
Nice body. What is it?
I've just made a chassis and might make a new body.
It was imported from India. The distributor is based out of Ohio. I referenced the seller in the video - same place I got the universal mounting arms
I noticed you've got those rubber shims in the clamps. What are they? Do they cause the clamps to shift or slip?
Good eye! I used them so that I could crank the u-clamps down real tight to the frame. I didn’t notice any shifting or slipping.
Hmm.. what else should we put a sidecar on?
I've got a Vespa!
A Bicycle ;)
@@pauls8456just sent me straight to Google images on bicycle sidecars - I’m a fan! 😂

Naw. I will always recommend folks use ballast weight while they’re learning. Gradually you lighten the load until you don’t need any.
