Roland JV-80 sticky keys clean up

- The Roland JV-80 Synthesizer seems to come with a built in time bomb. Looks like some glue got runny by heat or over time and stuck to the keys. Anyhow I now take it apart and try to fix it
You could say, it's Bean cleaned!
I'm going to have to do this myself. My JV-80 has two black notes at the top end that, without fail, every time I go to play it, they're stuck and I have to work them free. Undoubtedly the "red glue" will be the culprit.
You should have put all the keys in a bucket with liquid sink unblocker, let it stay for 8-12 hours, wash and dry the keys and the weights and then glue the weights on the keys with 2-component glue.
As long as you leave the red glue under the weights, it will be a time bomb again.
Won't the sink unblocker dissolve the keys or leave stains on them?
How to remove glue? I use sonax cannot😅
I made the mistake to use WD40 that I sprayed between the stucked keys. It did a great job at taking out the stickiness BUT there is now no sound coming out of those keys. It's like those keys don't make contact anymore with the electronics. It's a Roland XP80 that I bought in 1996.
Have the same synth... Similar stickiness, alas, which goes away with some force (but returns after a while). But even worse, it also two keys who don't register well (only high velocity still registers). I understand that I may have to go up till the grey rubbery contacts, but they are even more deeply enclosed than those on my edirol pcr-30... which I am about the give up on. 😪
