dear Gina, i hope you read my comment to this earrings tutorial, i found excellent project for spring even after 2 years, this cross earring is very elegant and can be made in all colors of flowers, i like it because an easy and fast project to do in time you tell and show, a big hug from your italian follower
G'Day, My Lovely, Just flitting through UA-cam to find something to watch and there it was a wonderful video from my lovely and I might add what a fantastic Easter surprise.....thank you !! I thought that you would be having a wild packed Easter Break and spending time with your adorable sons and resting your creative cells and your Muse. Not a big fan of putting colours like pink and blue together with black but I love the Aqua and black. I don't see you using a lot of super duos in your work and it was novel to see you do so. This little component could be made into a pendant with a chain made of Black seed Beads with a small Rondell on either side of a bigger one. It could even make a gorgeous bracelet. Hate working with Czech Beads (except in Bead Embroidery where because of their irregular shapes can come in very handing to sew into some spaces or for giving texture to some areas) but they seemed to fit in really well. I love "dangle" in an earring so I would have added a teardrop and small Rondells to the bottom of the earring. Am an oldy that just loves to swish her way around the place. There is just something that is just so heavenly (to me) about long dangling earrings. If these were done in crystals they would shine like diamonds and would be perfect for those formal occasions and would suit any age. I left a note and let you know that I thought of myself as a "Glenda" type and a few observations about myself.....hope it gave you a giggle. I hope that the big Bunny brought you lots of very wicked creamed filled chokkie eggs. Just a short novel as it's almost tea time here so I will say goodnight or should I say good morning as when you read this it will morning for you. Stay in the Sunshine my little bit of Fabulous and I will chat soon.......Easter BlessIngs XXXXXXXXXOOOOOOOOOO
+Chris Phillips Hi Chris, I do like the Glenda scenario. I think you are much more Glenda-like than munchkin-like...you are my shiny, blingy good witch...just not of the North...ha! I like blingy dangles too, but like to post different styles for different tastes. Everyone has different style preferences, I try to appeal to many. But, yes a dangly Crystal would be pretty. Some good quality Czech beads are not too terrible to work with, but, they have to be higher quality. I have some pretty nice ones but I still have to sort hem somewhat. I spent my Easter in the ER with my mother. She is having some health issues and is in the hospital still. Hence, the slow reply and no reply to the Glenda note...and my video had to wait to be uploaded until late last night...not the best Easter, but she is doing okay, so not a bad one either.
Just got your note. I hope that it is nothing serious with your mum and I hope that for both of you, she has a speedy recovery and is back in the sunshine very soon. Please let her know that I send loads and loads of big get well "kisses and hugs and healing thoughts". Let me know how things are going and you take care of yourself my little bit of Fabulous from the "shiny, blingy good witch from the South"................
Hi ya Glenda of the south. Ha! Let's combine that and it will be Slenda...hee, hee! Mom is doing better, she is home. Very tired, you know how well you can rest in the hospital...ha! Thanks for you good wishes and hugs, hopefully things will calm down now and I can create something new...beaders block...ugh!
G'Day, it's " Aussie Slenda" here, So glad that your mum is doing much better and yes she will get much more rest at home particularly if my little bit of Fabulous is fussing and looking after her. She sounds like a little bit of "super, gorgeous Fabulous". Before I forget, did you see that Alisha received the same Dollar Bead Box as you did and it contain the same Beads. If you have some spare time (lol) take a look at her video as she made a couple of rings with some of the Beads. Love to that gorgeous mum, Hunter and of cause you, my little talented lovely.......Hooroo for now......XXOO
I love the way you describe the process of making..But here I'm not getting super duo beads and good quality materials..Even then I love to watch your tutorial.
Gina hi, the colors you used on these earrings are pretty. I looked on esty for the blue turquoise luster and I cannot find it nowhere, if you recall where you bought yours can you share the info I would appreciate it very much, Thank you.
Hi Gina These look adorable :)) I have a question . . .i have seen headers using galvanized seed beads . . . Does the galvanation make these beads so they won't tarnish? I want to move away from using metal as much as possible so my work does not tarnish. So I am wondering about these Miyuki's galvanized seed beads. Any info you can give is helpful. I have some older silver lined glass seed beads that are beginning to tarnish so I am curious. Thanks :))
Hi Gina, I love these earrings. But the sights I have I cannot seem to find the super duos. Could you please tell where I might find them? Thank you so much. Donna
+Donna Campian Hmmm, any of the lather sites should have them, sometime you have to look under Czech glass, as most sites categorize the types of beads. But I do know fire mountain, Potomac, goodybeads, art beads, auntiesbeads....they all have them.
I love that you pronounce Miyuki correctly. I also love all of your tutorials.

The ones I use do not tarnish, they are Toho permanent finish galvanized aluminum seed beads. However, they do have a slightly golden hue.
So even the silver colored ones will have a golden hue?
The galvanized aluminum beads do, yes, very slight though.
