Nate Sexton's 15-Year Streak
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 чер 2023
- For over 15 years, from March, 2008 to June, 2023, Nate Sexton took cash at every PDGA event that he attended. Through any course type and any condition, through injury and just plain bad days, Sexton always scraped out a finish in the top 40%. Now 264 events and over $200,000 of winnings later, that historic streak came to an end at the 2023 Portland
Open.
We sat down with Nate to hear his reflections on one of the greatest displays of consistency disc golf has seen. He talks about how he will change his game plan at tournaments going forward, remembers some close calls where he almost missed cash along the way, and expresses gratitude for everyone who helped make the streak happen. - Спорт
What a legend, never change.
Still one of the best players and ambassadors for the sport you’ll ever find.
Papa Nate is a legend! So consistent. And one of the best commentators in the game.
Dude,…. That was maybe the best interview I’ve ever seen. Very humble as usual is Nate, and soooo much perspective and wisdom. Thank you both! And of course, a big Congratulations man
I have a streak of playing since the age of 19 in 1998 to today and still not going pro lol. But all jokes aside I'm 44 and still throwing farther every year and getting better at putting every year. So I don't think there's a particular age where you can't keep getting better. I think you still have a lot left in the tank to keep playing at the highest level. And your commentary with Big Jerm and Uli is the best in the business.
Congrats Nate on an amazing stat. The legacy and statesman status continues to grow.
I love watching these guys at the end of a tournament, such as the USDGC footage. The opponents being so happy and excited for the winner is just such a special thing. Don't see that in many other sports.
Congrats Nate! The streak is so incredible. But I'm also excited to know you'll be able to play without this thought consuming everything. Good luck!
Nate kinda talks about his distance like it's a foregone conclusion. Let's see an off-season video series where he works with a distance coach and crushes! Go Nate, you're such an asset to this sport!
It's been a pleasure to watch first hand.
Legendary dude, always such a personality on the course and especially doing commentary with King Jerm.
That is an absolutely outstanding statistic
We all love and are proud of you Nate! Thanks for writing SEXTON on my firebird at USDGC so i could have a sexton firebird. Was happy to give you a laugh out of it.
Just great
This season, 1012 is the avg event rating needed to make last cash on tour in MPO. Nate Sexton is a living legend.
Still beloved as an individual, and a pioneer.
When something leaves, another comes to take it's place.
The weight can be remembered as statuesque as this experience is.
The doors are always open for all kinds of experiences in approach.
Perhaps Nate may look into integrating ambidexterity in his game? (I still stand strong that full ambidexterity is the inevitable future of Disc Golf in general.)
NO ONE WILL EVER BREAK THIS
Winning USDGC sets Nate Sexy up to actually live a stable and healthy family life through gainful employment in the field of disc golf. It’s the dream come true that solidifies the big dream everyone wishes for one day
Need a commemorative disc!!
Fun fact: if they were to have three rows of chains instead of two, and if the chain links were to be skinnier, the catches would be much more efficient. Give them time as they are slowly starting to understand.
The deja vu is real...
Look at the grey Nate is getting… Pappa Nate ..!! My man..!! 🎉
Even though I am older than him but it’s good to see the man push on with the youngsters..
Nate sexy sexton. Has and always will be my favorite disc golfer. Wonderful man and ambassador to the sport
You gave us average humans, that can not bomb it out 500+ feet, some one to model our own games after. Thank you.
Only 200k? Oh man.
So what you had a bad start . All the best
after 42 yrs playing my advice to Nate....buy the big bottle of Advil and keep throwing .
He's the Cal Ripken of disc golf. Or maybe the Joan Rivers...
Captain Pappy
Hard to not like the guy
Let's give Nate a break, a 15 yr. long shorts skidmarking 'streak' is a serious problem.
Why are trees? Stick with that.
Stick with being a fan boy
