I'm always fascinated by the economics of touring.

I have been to crap ton of concerts and in different genres throughout my life. Shinedown puts on the absolute best show of any artist I have ever been to. Their productions are thought out so well and it shows! A few months back, my husband and I talked about how beyond reasonable their tickets and merch prices are. Knowing that the shows they give the fans and how well they take care of the crew, I am amazed that the prices aren't higher. We have encountered a lot of other artist that are maybe a couple of albums in, and no where near being mainstream yet , that charge 3+ the amount Shinedown does. A few that we decided to go to even tough the prices were super high weren't really ready to commmand price. We love supporting artists of every art, especially ones that are just starting, so we try to support when we can. I think fans forget that they are amazing artist but it's also a business that needs to be able to support that.
