Driving a mazda 3 for past 7 years... still can't stop admiring it....

im thinking of buying a 2005-2010 toyota yaris or mazda 3. Is the mazda 3 reliable in your expierence?
@@munchcs2323 if you want a great economy, buy yaris 1.3 petrol engine with 87ps. It’s a great car, extremely reliable, with cheap maintenance. As regards of the Mazda 3, I know that is 1.6 petrol engine 105hp a very reliable, just look for the restyling models from 2006 till 2009, because of the chassis rust. The models produced in 2004-5 had a problems with the rust. 2.0 petrol engine with 150hp had a problems with the head, i don’t know about the restyling model with 6 gears, but 150hp 5 speed had a problems with the engine.

@@leboudin1284 my 08 Mazda 3 is just over 250,000 miles, mostly rust free and running great. It's the 2.3 151 hp. I'm hoping it last a while cause it's such a beautiful ride, but I feel lucky it's running well with what's currently on the odometer.

Got gifted a 2007 mazda 3 2.3, mt… fuel pump was bad, suspension was shot, water leaked into the car and everything, ended up fixing it and I love my car soooo much, just needs a coat of paint and an air filter now, 500 bucks deep into the project and I can’t be more grateful for it to be my first car.

2.3 is overall a much worse engine than the 2.0. The reliability is not worth the extra 15-20hp or wtvr

I’m driving a hired 2007 Mazda AXELA Sport (imported from Japan) in Africa at the moment, I really love it. The interior looks exactly the same as the car in this video😀
Man I love my Mazda 3 hatch with the 2.3l perfect amount of power and torque with a great manual transmission. These are great cars even in the 2.0l variant.
only problem is they eat up oil bad

Ive got a 2008 Takara it's only the 1.6 103hp engine ... It's served me well and does the job albeit you really have to work this engine hard to get anything out of it. Very tempted to go for a 2 litre one as the performance looks impressive without much difference in running costs.

I used to own 2008 2.0 6mt Mazda 3 sedan. Black interior and exterior. Sweet little car, loved it so much. Now I drive Audi A4, but i still miss my Mazda😢

The Mazda 2.0 with a manual is a beast. Besides a few cheap fixes like side motor mounts and such nothing is gonna break. The only ONE real complaint is rust. I bought my car 3 years old and it had started already pretty bad. I didn’t realize when I bought it ; it had been fixed already which is insane

my 2 from 2008 is very interesting with 1.3 @86hp petrol & full remus exhaust system. I love it. it rews like a sports car, if only had charger on top ... it would be unpredictable.
I actually got my listened last year and got the same one! 2007 2.0 isport. I did put an mks exhaust on it and was still learning about cars. Air intake, better MAF, makes the car pop lmao. Now I’m getting headers. Tbh it doesn’t sound bad even with the exhaust. It’s not fast but doesn’t sound like a total ricer haha. Maybe after I put the headers on doe. Gonna put the weapon r intake manifold in too. Will have to tune it after dat. Not turboing it right now don’t have the kind of money just wanna make it nice first. Slowly but surely project car.
yeah , my 2 from 2008 with 1.3l petrol, pops quite nice with full remus exhaust system (from engine), i bought it like that. It is a lively vehicle with small 1.3l.
I doubt the engine will be able to handle a turbo, maybe at low psi but yeah, doesn't sound like it's worth doing

oh mate trust me they can take a thrashing, i've held a 2.3 at redlimit for a good 5 second burnout with no worries, the 2.3 is a very great motor. Just do your oilchanges!

@@martinzukowski8602 Yea bro you should be all good, I would make sure the timing chain had been done in the last 50,000ks before you push it too hard, but other than that these motors are near bulletproof! Your transmission is likely to die far before your engine will tho.
Make sure you do the fluid and filter if its an auto transmission, or just replace the fluid if its manual, and then you can thrash it to your hearts content. The transmissions are not as reliable as the motors they are paired with so they will need extra care for a car with higher ks like yours.

Unfortunately not
Looks like the TPMS light, just a tire pressure sensor problem. And the exhaust does sound good, has just enough rumble yet still quiet enough to hear the power being made.
Yea I wanna know what they did to the exhaust as well, sounds nice without being loud enough to be obnoxious.
