i live in new york too and not really in my opinion, for a fancy restaurant like this the prices in new york would be sooo much more like the lobster in the beginning in new york would would be like 22 dollars, the restaurants in dhaka are still very expensive tho

10% service charge is totally absurd! :/
I've tried couple European restaurant in Germany, where vat is already included with food price. So, you know which one you have ordered , how much the bill will come at the end. Also, it's a European norm that you give a minimum 10-15% of your total amount of bill to the waiter as a tip. Giving tips is normal thing everywhere specially in Europe. If you like the service you're gonna tip anyway. Otherwise, some restaurants you have to bring your own food from the counter paying the bill upfront. After having the meal, it's obligated to bring utensils back to the counter!
But directly adding 10% service charge with food + 15% VAT is a brutal.
Anyway, Bangladesh is, and always will be brutal in every sector. Thanks Cheers! ✌️
