Well I’m glad I found this channel living out in Rural NB these days and the old farmers want to bring their old tractors back to life and put them to work got a John Deere 3130 to run again and a white tractor that hadn’t run in years he has a few other ones that need service as well but they are on the to do list 😅

Another option I saw on an AC forum- use a 12 volt DC hydraulic power pack such as is used on a dump trailer pulled by a pickup- a guy put one on an old Allis and added a couple valves as needed, said it gave him live power and ran a round baler all summer with no issue. To be clear the tractor was converted to 12 volt and had a 60 amp alternator.

Absolutely ! It’s all about making these old things adapt to perform the jobs at hand. We are doing either a WD or Massey 333 snow tractor with a 4 way plow on the front and blower on the back , the plow will be electric over hydraulic aswell , you will see that in future video , thanks for watching

Hey Rick, I picked up a 1963 AC D15 a couple months ago which is my first personal tractor. I have a loader with a trip bucket on the front, and a blade on the rear. Currently I am just using a quarter turn valve to switch between front and back control, but am looking for a better solution as the blade drops when I switch it to front control. I would like to be able to use both front and back to work dirt/gravel around the ranch. Any ideas?

I’m not super familiar with the D series yet , however I’m
Assuming you’d need a second shut off valve between rear lift and hydraulic pump. That’s what I’m doing to my WD

Do you lose hydraulic pressure when you push in the clutch because the pto stops spinning?

Yes this won’t give you live hydraulics unless the tractor had live pto

You should wrap you new hydrolic hoses with final tape or protective sheeth.
The new stuff only last ten years in the sun, then the wires rust and you have to replace with more new bad stuff.
