    Minha avó e minha mãe tinham uma máquina de fazer macarrão, mas que também tinham as partes para cortar a massa para fazer talharim e ninho (talharim mais fino).

    Interesting work on this pasta maker. The fact that it had to be set on the edge of the counter so the pasta would fall down to a bowl below seems odd. Did this type of device come with a shredder attachment? Thanks for sharing this video with us and remember Texas is watching.

    • @WorkshopDC
      @WorkshopDC  3 роки тому +1

      Yep, this tool has to be put on the edge of a counter and It didn't have a shredder attachment.

      @@WorkshopDC makes you wonder if after they ran it through the press they had to run through a separate slicer, to make pasta.

    • @WorkshopDC
      @WorkshopDC  3 роки тому +1

      Right, but It was used to make breads.

    Looks more like a manual wringer for old clothes washer to me

    • @WorkshopDC
      @WorkshopDC  3 роки тому +1

      Yep! It really looks like an old wringer for clothes but it is a Antique Pasta Cylinder, here in Brazil this tool was very useful to make bread in the past.

    I reckon you should have made some rusty pasta before you restored it for the ultimate before and after taste test 😆

      Thanks Bro! There is a lot of tool that I want to buy, I'm kinda addcted for them hehe'😄
      I'm sure that will not taste good, I didn't eate the pasta that I made for the test 😆😆♥️

    • @randomrestoration6858
      @randomrestoration6858 3 роки тому +2

      @@WorkshopDC I’m guilty of that too haha.
      I bet the pasta that you did for the test would have tasted normal, but if you had made some pasta with the old rusty wheels prior to the restoration I reckon you wouldn’t even need to add any seasoning 😆

    An old wringer mangle for a wood wash tub - looks a bit too wide for pastry thinning, but looks like it would bolt onto the side of an old wooden washer to wring out the water from the laundry?

    • @WorkshopDC
      @WorkshopDC  3 роки тому +1

      Hehe' it really does look like an old wringer to laundry but it a Antique Pasta Cylinder, here in Brazil this tool was used to make breads and so.

      Этот цилиндр широко использовался в Италии для изготовления хлеба и макаронных изделий. Он действительно очень похож на цилиндр для одежды, но это не так.
