      actually the translator sucks, he didn't say it was difficult at all what he actually said was "Two years after a very systematic study..." after that it's hard to hear him with the 'translator' speaking over his voice. Noticed this alot lately with translators, they just half ass the translation because it's not like you're going to know what the guy said anyways lol.

    The French men found the temple in 1860. The French took so much Gold , silvers and many statues to France. Just go to France Museums. You will see the French stole so much from Khmer people.

      The climate changes, more victims are sacrificed to appease the gods. Some get out while they can. Pretty soon, no one left tend the fields, bring in the harvest. The people die of starvation. Or could be a disease ravaged the city and everyone stay away because 'evil spirits'.

      Gonna sound crazy believe I know I thought the same thing when I heard it, but apparently the people who built and lived in this city, were killed by basically Spider Aliens 😅🤣😅.     I feel like it's not that mystical for ancient people to move earth and live in big wild buildings. Back in those days the king was a god as stated, fear and reverence will drive people to amazing things. Plus we act like there was humane treatments back then. You'd be amazed what can get done if someone doesn't want to be tortured or killed.

    Anything that takes lasers to build cannot be 900 years old. It would be much older. Likely before the Younger Dryas Impact Event 12,800 years ago.

    This was not more impressive than Rome or Greece. Rome and Greece are also still around and their philosophy, social governance and technology and architecture still influence us today. Rome invented road systems - Angkor Wat was hidden away for millennia and nobody cared or knew about it. Not impressive at all. All roads lead to Rome... not even one dirt road was noticed that led to Angkor War lmfao

      In the Illiad, Priam has to ask his wife's permission in order to access their linen closet because in the house, the woman was in charge. Also in the Odyssey, Odysseus is told to supplicate the wife of king of the Phaeacians, not the king himself, because again, when it came to the household, the woman was in charge. Women in the past absolutely did have power and authority, just not the kind that you would think of today. Across most civilizations women power over their household while men typically had power outside the house, in business or in politics.
