Tl;dr, I may have missed some but I did my best. 1. Manage your cooldowns (Don't dash into the whole enemy team without deflect) 2. Don't get into suicidal situations (^) 3. Target priority (Know what targets you should go for, for example target the Bastion over the Moira) 4. Be mindful of if you can get a pick or not (Is most of their team dead? Are your supports nearby?) 5. Be mindful of enemy cooldowns (So a Bap doesn't fuck your nanoblade with immortality field and heal burst) 6. Work on your mechanical skill 7. Get consistency by practicing 8. Know when it's time to get tf out of there 9. Look for angles above your enemy because they won't expect that 10. Look for where your supports are (So you don't die instantly in a fight) 11. Just because one mistake works in one game doesn't mean it does in others (Especially in higher ranks, you just need to pick up the slack + number 7) 12. Be more patient with your cooldowns 13. When you blade, don't dash/slash immediately if they are in range of slash 14. Be patient with slashes and predict their cooldowns/movement 15. Try to drop down on your target when blading (Depends on situation) 16. Right click melee cancel and blade for free damage
for 1 you can dash in a team without def but make sure your supports r close and youre able to secure a pick to dash straight back out. its a risky play but in some situations its viable
Another thing to add on to is when you blade shuriken for the extra damage if hit all 3 its a slash and dash to a 225 hp target even if you just hit one shuriken you follow up using the dash reset and that'll finish them with a single slash, or if you hit 2 all you gotta do is use dash and any 200 hp target finished
@@lai_rey11it might be viable if there is not a very tanky character but going in without Def is just stupid! Sry but it is! Just chill for a few seconds and you will be able to to do so much more!
watching this vid half way through i realized it was an hour vid, love this vid necros im actually learning so much from just hearing your thoughts on certain plays.
I’ve realized something: I don’t practice genji to be good with his mechanics (game sense is ok) especially blade. So thanks for this series, really helps me a lot (might submit one of my own eventually)
Just a tip necros, you can lower the amount of time the “jump forward/backward 20 seconds” buttons actually jump. I saw a vid that recommended 8 and it’s much nicer
The best tips for Genyi ever!!! Youccan learn and up your game just by watching your stuff! Amazing coaching for FREE!!! So good 🤤 30:20 I feel like he is right!!!
There’s 4 stages of genji players: 1) You have no clue what the hero does, you most likely don’t even know all the abilities of all heroes yet and your rank is around gold-low plat. 2) you have a lot of hours in ow as genji and you know the game but you still don’t feel fluent and comfortable with genji’s gameplay, you tunnel vision and ignore threats. You may pull off 1 or 2 good ults occasionally. Plat. 3) you start to understand synergy, rollouts, target priority and cooldown management. You can judge better who you’re supposed to target and you’re no longer a free kill. Probably diamond peak low masters. 4) grandmaster, dont know i havent been there yet my peak is masters 3
Yoooooooooo Before watching you i was like really really bad at genji , I got like 1-0 kills with my blade But now i usually get like 2 kills per blade and i'm also having good games . My best one yet I got 24k damage 47 kills and 3 deaths . Thanks to you i have become a good gengu And I climbed to Diamond
I mean you will learn these things in game but its hard to focus when the average genji player uses blade the first person u see is getting dashed at but i want some tips on the shurikens :D
Uhm so if Necros sees this how do I go about submitting a video to get some tips? You’re genuinely my idol and would love to see how to make myself better by hearing what you have to say :)
I'm pretty sure suiciding to force trans Is usually not worth because then the enemy are in a 5v4 and likely to win. Situationally can be worth though if you have ult
any tips on how to practice doing 90* or 180* flicks, usually when I do them I don't hold a level crosshair, I know practice helps but surely there's a better way to practice them right?
bro THANK YOU for pointing out that tank shit at 3:24 , happened to me too many times, my tank would b like "swap off genji you suk" like bro you are playing in the back all scared like you're a pre health buffed widow, push the mf team so your dps can get some picks
Hmm I was able to climb to diamond as genji main and I am sure I have to learn the dash shot mele combo when I am going for the blade because I am often just dashing into someone so that I am behind him, pulling the blade and then swing dash swing but ig It's slow if I want to climb to master so tnx for telling me It is better to do it that way
These videos are really helpful but I think you are teaching quite slowly in a way that when there are some simple mistakes you might spend 5 minutes on those
i'm plat too but this looks like night and day to me. like a silver game. idk when i watch a plat game from someone else i feel like i'm playing a different game. my games look way harder like fights go way faster and ppl play way more agressive. dunno if i'm stupid but my games dont feel like plat games but maybe i'm just bad :D
This video is about to be so good I can feel it coming inside of me 😈

"You can't control how shit your teammates are but you can control how shit you are"
Words to live by that hit hard. Thank you Necros.
Babe wake up necros just uploaded
You know Necros is on another level when a GM1 Genji asks for a vod review, usually GMs' ego goes ways.
It’s a plat player not a GM. The GM1 symbol is a stream overlay.
24:55 I feel like it was also a problem that he used his double jump before dashing, he could’ve probably used it to escape if he had it.
MORE MORE MORE EDUCATIONAL, I FREAKING LOVE GETTING GUD, I WANT TO CLIMB FEW MORE RANKS IN ONE SINGLE SEASON
Thanks Necros for doing vod reviews! These help a lot
I started with OW 2 release and play it a weekend every 2 weeks.Genji was honestly my comfort dps and this helped me *a lot*

Love these coaching vids, keep it up
Necros about to pull out a blackboard to explain how to perfectly angle your blade in a 65° angle to cut through the fabric of reality
Love you Necros. You put a lot of work for this one thx

I just love those videos, it's extremely helpful
Every time I watch a necros video it makes me want to eat green crunchy grapes
Ooh a juicy 54 minutes private tutoring
or at 17:29 you can double jump swing once then dash into the ground to get the kill quick and the reset!
I LOVE THESE VIDS THANKS NACHOS

No llevo ni 24hrs jugando con genji (tengo que decir que también soy nuevo en overwatch 36hrs) y gracias a necros soy imparable, literalmente

Hey necros what workshops do you recommend for better blades/mechanic!? Idk any 🤣
Will u only do pc genji vod reviews?

Ah here we go again
This genji player is much better than me.
28:00 whats DMGRE ?
it is a wrokshop code to help you practice with dash, ults etc specifically for genji
@@AbuWalter ty bro 🙏🙏
What is DMGRE
Bro the guy he coached got more hours on genji than i got on the game 💀
Best vid ever
is it still worth it to play genji?
thank you for video
How do you submit a game? I am a bronze player and i would like to get absolutely violated about everything that I do shit
May be worth noting that I am slowly progressing to higher ranks of bronze and started in overwatch 2 and have like 50 hours on genji
