I have found with DS games that if they aren't reading to take a bit of rubbing alcohol and a toothbrush and give the contacts a quick scrub; this fixes a lot of the not reading the cartridge problems.
Oh no, arts and craft stalls are usually cheaper because they're usually promoting an Etsy or something and want repeat customers. Any kind of second hand/collectors stall though? Always a big risk for getting ripped off. You have to remember, most eBay people are just looking to get the game off their hands and just want more than what GameStop offers, convention stalls are looking for profit.
I saw a Soul Silver at a game store for like 200$ and was like surely I can find a legit one for cheaper than that. Then I found out one of my friends sold his ds and all of his games (including Soul Silver) to a different person for like 55$. :,)
@@slayer100141Let's also mention $50 JPN Crystal in the video. That was insane. A quick search on mercari shows the cheapest Crystal is 500 Yen (roughly $3). It's not just DS, any JPN cartridge will be sold for dirt cheap compared to EN, as it's generally harder to make JPN bootlegs and the demand is lower.
Someone should tell that as a seller, HE'S responsible for setting those prices. Cos I dont think he's aware if he's calling it an irresponsible purchase.
Man, those certainly are steep prices. I remember that I bought a sealed version of HeartGold for its retail price in 2013, used Yellow for 7 pounds in 2015, used Platinum for 25€ in 2016 and used Crystal for 16€ in 2017.
The White Nuzlocke player was probably burned out because the best way to grind before the E4 are the Audino in the grass where the game started. Also, the Beartic was holding a Lucky Egg.
I like how they got step-by-step closer to viable content. We go from not working, to no file, to a file that was literally just started, back to no file.
I actually once bought a Japanese Platinum and found an abandoned save file that was *this* close to the league. I finished the game with that person's team and even caught some of the postgame legendaries with their save.
@Sailor-Khione it just seems odd that a game that's almost 25 years old was almost a third the price of one that's only 15 years old. 130 does seem expensive, though.
I think that white one may have been mine lol, I used to live in Atlanta and then moved to Tennessee with my grandparents to attend UT because I got a scholarship. Ended up selling the game because I wanted to buy Scarlet and PLA so I’d have other games to play. I don’t like to use the starters, feels like a crutch.
@@cdpdoodler I don’t actually know if it is, but I used to always name the player character the name of the game I’m playing because I have no creativity whatsoever

The pokemon Ultra sun wasn't broken... if the game hasn't been played in a while then the device in this case a 3ds or ds wouldn't automatically remember it the first time instead you would have to insert it multiple times to get it working again.
I've always wanted to go to one of these events. Also i learned that if a save file has a trainer who has barely any play time, there's a good chance that the person who sold it was testing it to make sure it worked. Though when i bought heart gold, the man didn't seam to know what was on it. R.i.p. broccoli the pansage in the white nuzlocke.
I play the Japanese versions so I don’t really know if they’re inherently cheaper than English versions but I got all the og gameboy color and advance games for about 200 dollars including the Japanese exclusive games, granted they didn’t come with the case but imo 12 games for 200$ is a lot better than 2 for 240$ in original box lol
Oof, those prices! Glad I decided to get my games before this inflation happened. Still only need a few more side games to complete my collection but the pricier stuff now I got.
Only Pokemon game I ever bought used was Black 2. Cost me about $45 after applying store credit for trade in games, would have been $85 without that. Looking around today, good condition usually goes for over one hundred. People have come around to REALLY wanting that postgame and its Hard Mode. I also remember when I traded in all my GBA Pokemon games when I got a DSi and couldn't play them anymore and got like $150 in store credit. That lasted forever in my young-teen eyes, tho in reality it was only, like, three games. My only regret today is I never transferred the Groudon from my Ruby over--I transferred two different Kyogres and Rayquzazas, but I didn't care for Groudon at the time and didn't think to move it over.
I lost my first ever Nuzlocke attempt(HG, was at the radio tower) because my Crobat missed two Fly in a row, and I only made it out of that fight with two battle-ready mons after that.
My man, you gotta ask them to bundle prices for you. Even if they just knock $10-$20 off. It’s worth asking, especially when you’re purchasing multiple games.
I'm sorry, these prices are so disgusting that I cannot get through this video. Minute 1:39 and they're already charging $100+ for a 20 years old used game? Yikes.
Alola is THE BEST region also the Starly basin in the grass gym had tackle growl, quick attack, and wing attack or wing attack known as depressed with wings lol
Dang, Prices in the US are crazy for Pokémon Games, I thought they were wild over here in Europe. Got Ruby for 40€ (pretty normal price), Emerald for 70 1 1/2 years ago (around 80-100 without case is normal I'd say). Leaf Green including the Venusaur GBA SP-bag? 75 in total.
I’ve done this with my collection copies (the other version I didn’t buy when it came out pre Sword Shield where I’ve bought both) we’ve had some successes namely Fire Red at E4 Rematch with 4 boxes filled with Hoenn trades, a copy of X beaten with a Hoopa and a Ruby with 2 shinies All the others were nothing
I was on eBay the other day and I literally bought a used copy of a Japanese version of Pokémon black for like 87. So crazy how overpriced things are now. But nice channel growth haven’t watched in a LONG TIME.

My saves are on my carts, phone, OG 3ds, PC and I think my R4 as well but I may have cleared that off... Unless that was a newer knock off R4
I recently bought Ultra Sun for like 30€ and it had a 100% Pokedex. I kinda felt vad for deleting the save, but I wanted to plau it so... I also got Black for free with a 2 hour save file on it 😅
A few years ago my brother got a pink dslite and pink translucent gameboy advance and firered platuim and diamond ruby sapphire and emerald and all of the games were authentic and he was planning on selling them but he didn’t do it and gave them to me and I was so happy he did because I lost ruby and platinum when I was a kid and was sad. The kid and parents didn’t know what they had because they would probably have $700 if they sold it there was pearl too but someone took a bite on it so I knew it wouldn’t work so I threw it away rip those Pokémon on pearl

That copy of White was DEFINITELY a Nuzlocke. They named their Litwick Sia and it died before it could evolve into a chandelier.

I thought usually convention prices were cheaper than ebay so they actually sold stuff. Turns out everything was $20-30 overpriced. The more you know.
People spend money way more easily when they see something in person so the sellers took advantage of that.
