Yellowstone is being loved to death. When we went we turned R to go up & around instead of L to Old Faithful. Can't begin to imagine how much worse traffic would be if there was NO coronavirus.
Was thinking how much prettier the W side of the lake was with all the trees, firs & evergreens. & then BOOM out of nowhere the trees were just dead sticks standing there...so sad to see all the trees lost.
Old Faithful was AMAZING. You had perfect timing! Loving this YT.🥰Sorry you missed the little bubbling mud pots. They're like the bubbling water areas you saw, only it's very colorful types of mud, lots of yellow from the sulfur, & really smelly->like rotten eggs. Just lots of fun to watch all the little mini "explosions" of mud...from a distance on the plank walkways.

Hi Russ. Thanks for taking me back to my favorite National Park. We've been there twice. Both times in September. Still crowded but nothing like what you saw. Really need at least 3 days to see the park. Mammoth hot springs and Lamar valley are 2 of the must see spots along with Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Old Faithful is great but doesn't compare to some of the other sites in my opinion. Thanks again.

Then drive one of the most scenic hwy in North America Beartooth Pass to Inspiration Point, or Red Lodge then Double back to Cook City/Silvergate, then into Yellowstone park NE Entrance.

The best way to see Yellowstone is stay a week, you can go to different parts of the park each day and even get a few duplications of things you liked. We gave it 4 days and only scratched the surface. I know rangers who say, I lived there a year and still didn't see it all. Can you imagine, in your days off, you just go out your door and sightsee Yellowstone?

I was there a few weeks ago, and Old Faithful stood out as the lowlight of the trip. Crowds, difficulty parking, the distance you're seated from the geyser, and that you're basically in a city, made it unpleasant. Lower basin was the most fun, where you can be surrounded by geysers, a short distance away, going off all around you. Most of the other places are also nice.

Good to see you put a video out. I hope you had a great summer. I am currently in Minnesota. 26 more miles, I'll be in South Dakota on my way to Yellowstone.
