I have the same one as this, but I normally only use it as casual landscape camera, when I go out with my wildlife gear. I have paired it with the 14mm pancake lens, as the glue holding the 12 - 32 lens together failed. The dial on my copy failed, therefore every adjustment has to be done by the excellent touch screen, so it is not much of a hinderance. I use the Panasonic app with both my phone and android tablet, but I connect manually, as I had failiures with the auto systems. I sometimes use it with one of my macro lenses, because you can get it into spaces no other system can manage and the Panasonic app gives me the ability to closely examine both the subject and background of the shot comfortably beforehand.
The GX800 appears to be very similar -- a more recent model but no EVF. I tried it recently, but couldn't handle the lack of grip. I tried to pinch hold it which I found really uncomfortable.
I have both, the GM1 and GM5. Both of them are skyrocketing in prices, especially the GM5 with the 15/1.7. I consider that as a digital competitor to Contax T3.
Interesting to see we share the same tastes: I own a GM5, GX7, TZ100, Mitakon 25:0.95, Laowa 7.5 and much more... but no more huge cameras: my bigger one is the EM1-II for weddings. I've also adapted some of my old Canon ef lenses with Viltrox adapter & speedbooster, such as 100:2, 135:2L and 200:2.8L-II with a x1.4 teleconverter to keep my kit "light" and luminous with long range. Considering the problem of grip with the small cameras, I used to add a little piece of plastic or rubber and some gaffer to make a home-made grip: very cheap and efficient on my GM5, GX800 or TZ100.
It is a good review. However, Panasonic has discontinued this DMC-GM range. I have been looking for one of these for years and couldn't find it. If you do have a source, please inform me.
I got one like new, and boxed on ebay for £350 with a 12-32 lens. Now and then you get someone selling one that doesn't know what they're worth. If you set up an ebay alert you might get lucky.
Love mine. I bought a Japanese one. A bit of a pain learning to read the menus, but you can just use Google translates camera mode and adjust menus that way too

Ich habe gestern ein rotes Modell in sehr gutem Zustand gekauft. Mit 12-32 für knapp 500€ in Deutschland. Ich liebe diese Kamera jetzt schon! :-)

Maybe you can use higher iso and overexposure to recover shadows from electronic shutter
