- Stevie Nicks' 84-year-old beloved mother, Barbara Nicks, passed away in a Scottsdale, AZ area hospital on December 29, after a battle with pneumonia.

Stevie and Barbara remind me so much of my mother and me. I’ve heard Stevie talk about how hard her mother’s death hit her and I can’t imagine. I noticed Lindsey in one of the pics, shortly before she died. I’m so glad he got to say goodbye; Barbara loved Lindsey, Mick and the gang and she’d known him since he was a high school kid! R.I.P., Barbara…and thank you for giving us Stevie!♥️
You can feel her mother's pride and fathers love for Stevie. Such a beautiful thing every girl needs and all she ever will want in life.

Losing a mother is one of the worst feelings ever...I know I've been through it. So may rest in peace and sorry for you lost Stevie.
My heart is breaking for you Stevie. I lost my mother in 2010 suddenly and it has been the hardest thing I have ever gone through. You expect her to always be there. She is your rock. She was my best friend. When I say I understand how you must be feeling I am saying that out of experience. I wish I could say something to comfort you but, just know that people care about you and how you are doing. You are a beautiful person.Your mother must be so proud of you. Stevie has her mom's petite bone structure, and dark eyes. I still don't know where Stevie's love for music came from, but guessing it is from both parents. Mr. & Mrs. Nicks, you sure made the world's great rock & roll diva when Stevie Nicks was born. Thank you ,

Her grandfather was a country music fan and a performer too, I think. He used to encourage Stevie to stand up on bars and sing as a child.
Her grandfather was an inspiration in her life from what I read and encouraged her she didn't seem shy at all
@@virginiaa4445 Stevie is pretty outgoing from what I can see , but she admitted to having 'stage fright' .. watch her at start of her videos it is there, she starts out kinda shy then cresendos into the heavens (singing*).

Geeze, she looks just like her Mama so much. Her mother looked quite good for her age. Take Stevie's advice... learn as much about them before your parents die. They're too special, and they hold all the secrets of the past.

Lovely tribute :) Stevie spoke about the loss of her mother when she was mentoring the contestants on "American Idol"; she said she was channeling her pain into her songs to bring more emotion and feeling to them. Her mom must be so proud of her.
