There must be a version with subtiltles, because I saw already a reaction with it!
The upcoming album "Finsterwacht" will be part of the "Das Schwarze Auge" Universe, a very popular p&p tabletop game, like d&d. There will be a novel, written (exclusively for the box) by Bernhard Hennen, the guy you see dieing first. There will also be an adventure written for the game. I've never played it, so I can't tell you more about it (I'm sure others will chime in).
Loved your reaction, I'm just surprised that you didn't catch Hansi singing. And there will be more coops on the album, notably the Prague Symphonic Orchestra. And you missed the easter egg at the end!

I could only hear Hansi sing one line in the video (minute 7:12). His passage from the album version is taken over by Alea in the video.
I lost it when you actually let the cedits roll and then side tracked yourself away from the post credit easter egg. :-D
about the album: Saltatio Mortis have announced their new album, but it will be so much more than "just" an album. They have worked together with the authors of "Das Schwarze Auge" (basically the German pendant to DnD) and two German fantasy authors to create a Pen-and paper RPG fantasy novel folk metal concept album. Featured artists will be, among others, Hansi Kürsch, Faun, Tina Guo and Cristina Scabbia. Out May 31st.
So I guess there's more to come...
You can find the german TTRPG "Das Schwarze Auge" in english under "The Dark Eye".
About those old German Grenades, they had a self stabilizing ability like throwing axes due to the way they are thrown, which leads to a more precise throw direction wise as it's way tumbles in ellipsoidal. Because of that throwing axes only hit in certain lengths with their blade. You can look some of this up if you search for Franziska throwing axes.

Germany has approximately 25,000 castles, while the United States has just over 14,000 McDonald's locations. That means that, on average, Germany has one castle for every 600 people, while the United States has one McDonald's for every 30,000 people. In other words, you're more than 50 times more likely to stumble upon a castle in Germany than you are to find a McDonald's in the United States.
This is the information only the internet can provide
But one has to say that many of those castles are pretty tiny and better watch towers at best. But since the old German emperor's tended to travel to keep their power, many major cities had large Kaiserpfalzen or emperor's holdings,which were pretty awesome castles that could hold their entire court plus families and dignitaries. And they were always between 25-30 km apart. So think about 150+ big castles for the emperor alone, followed by up to 10 per king (and Germany had several) up to 2 per rank of nobility under them. Barons and Knight usually only had one castle and mostly smaller ones. But it adds up.

I am so happy you reacted to that video from Saltation Mortis. As Radenstorf already told you its set in the world of the table top game "Das Schwarze Auge / the dark eye" and i play that game for nearly 20 years. So that whole new album set in that world is huge for me.
The a capella part in the middle of the song. They sing to "Rondra" and she is one of the 12 gods in this world and she is the godess of honest fighting and courage!
I played DSA over 25 years ago, but the a capella part singing to Rondra still gives me chills. Still remember my favourite spell "Fulminictus-Donnerkeil - Schlaget drein, Schwert und Beil!"
More compelling costumes, acting, sets and storyline than I've seen come out of Hollywood, Amazon and Netflix in the last 6-7 years. (Dune 2 possibly excluded, I'm seeing it tomorrow but I heard amazing things)

Bremen has no Castle... unfortunately. 😂 Northern Germany is rather flat and devoid of rocks, so you'll have to go to the center, or the south to find a good one.
The torch indicating oncoming intruders to the orcs was a plothole bothering me, too.
As for the last action - apparently guy No. 1 thought he could stop the orcs if he stayed with the other 3 until they convinced him otherwise.
As for the one getting up again - I think that was sort of a divine intervention. When they retreated to that closed room and started singing, this was sort of a prayer to the goddess of honourable and courageous fight to help them and stand by them in the last stand. Let's assume she did and provided the last survivor with enough strenght to perform the last sacrifice and light the beacon to inform the castles left and right (or before and behind) in the chain that there are orcs attacking the human settlements.
there's not only mv2/2 energy but also a rotation energy, and you can hardly apply initial rotation to a round object like apple

The song itself contains a little bit of everything: if we're to use automobile nomenclature, there are groovy parts on 5th gear and then you go down to 1st gear. But with folky vibes and choir it still wins.
