Love this! Thank you for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Good word, brother! It’s so hard to live in faith and be of good cheer when you’re in the thick of hard times, such as drought. I appreciate your channel and the content you put out and this video was no exception! Came here for the sheep and staying for the Godly wisdom! Praying you all receive the rain that you so desperately need.
Thank you for the kind words, encouragement, and watching the channel.
My issues now are severe illnesses but I can tell you have Jesus in your heart and what a blessing to live each day with that in mind. We all need to learn to abide in the vine (Jesus}, When things get rough press in even closer. Our father wants that so much from us. God Bless!
True!
I too have struggled with Gods wisdom concerning timing of rain. I’ve decided he knows best!
I think you are right!
Enduring our drought here in Central California as well...thanks for the good thoughts.
The best drought plan video I've seen yet.
Back in June it was dry here. Between the dry conditions and rising cost of fuel, I saw that things were probably going to be rough for getting hay this year. I determined that it would be best to sell off most of my herd, down to my original 5 breeders and my buck. About the time I had most sold, my neighbor told me he wasn't going to do a second cutting because he didn't need it. I asked if he would consider cutting it for me. We made a deal that he would cut it for the price of fuel, so long as it rained. I prayed for rain. We did eventually get rain, not a huge amount, but enough that the grass grew and the hay was beautiful! Don't regret selling off most of my herd, it is giving me a chance to work on my infrastructure with out the pressure of more animals. Will pray you get rain, too.
Thank you.
Some of the lessons you've learned, albeit the hard way this summer, have already born fruit in your heart and in your spirit. It is not always easy some of the things we need to learn and grow. My prayer for you is God's will... whether rain or continued draught. And, in the mean time, continue to grow and appreciate all that He has given you over the past number of years.
Thank you!
Bless you man for your courage, sincerity and abiding hope that never disappoints ❤️🏄
Thank you.
Much Respect your not only hard working but deeply self reflective . i really appreciate the story of how you grumble and then realize that not the farmer / person you want to be .. Good on you man ! may it rain if not from the sky then from your heart and mind .. Your creative and i appreciate the information and approach you share ... THANK YOU & GOD BLESS YOU
Thank you very much!
Thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge
My pleasure!
Love this. By far my favorite video you have done. Praying with you.
Thank you! 😊
This was a great video that made me almost tear up. I loved the inclusion of your knowledge of the Bible. All of your videos have been very helpful for my learning and preparation of sheep farming.
Thank you for the kind words.
Good to see you again. I feel your pain in NC Arkansas (very dry.) But ,we will make it through this. Keep up the good work.
Thank you!
Definitely a great reminder, thank you.
Also…since you mentioned having sold off a sizable portion of your flock, perhaps a future video might cover how you recover your headcount after conditions improve. I’ve not had to downsize my flock yet, but it is part of my plan, if it ever comes to it. But, short of going back to you, other producers, and Craigslist, I am not sure how I would quickly return to prior levels without taking on a lot of risk (disease, lower quality breeding stock, etc.).
What breeds of goat and sheep do you have ??? I enjoy your videos !!! Thank you for your efforts !!!
Thank you. I have Katahdin and Dorper sheep and Kiko and Boer goats.
Such a great word! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for your witness.
Very encouraging words that apply to everyday life not just farming. I've traveled the world and have seen very dire situations, some beyond words. I thank the Lord for all that befalls upon me and try not to take anything for granted. A very uplifting video Lonnie, well done.
Thank you.
It was a blessing to stumble across your videos. I was looking to see what you meant by stocking up grass. And landed on this video listening to you proclaim Jesus Christ and the peace that only he can give. I to am a Christian. Born again in 2008. You really didn’t say anything that I haven’t heard or been taught. But listen to you rely on Jesus and the written word spoke volumes to me in the few minutes that you spoke. Just wanted to thank you for sharing your faith in your videos.
Thank you very much for taking the time to send these words of encouragement.
Thank you so much for sharing the Gospel! It’s all about perspective... keep focused on God and pray. Your channel is a light in the darkness.
I appreciate you saying that!
Thank you brother. I just found your channel and I’m enjoying it.
Thank you.
Great message . It was very uplifting! I have been doing a little research on sheep and goats and stumbled onto your channel. Love it ! We aren't very far from you . We live in Guin . Haven't had very much rain here either. Keep up the good work !!
Thank you.

Thanks. I hope you are not disappointed.
Thank you! You are a blessing, your efforts are as rain upon the earth = encouragement to others and myself. Bless you.
Thank you for the kind words.
Wow I follow you and wait for your next video. But today I watched this video and it hit the nail on the head thank you. Great word
Thank you.
Excellent advice and testimony, brother. Perhaps the thing I appreciate and is enjoy the most about farming is the inescapability of seeing (and depending upon) God’s hand and blessing in the future whole cycle of the processes involved. All the challenges give us an opportunity to learn to be better farmers and to trust in Him and his goodness. Thanks for sharing!
Phil
Good thoughts. Thanks
True wisdom! You may not have all the wisdom but you have a lot. God bless you.

Great video. Perfect timing, I've been needing some of that advice. Sometimes when I'm struggling to get thru life, I forget about all the wonderful blessings God has given me. Thank you for helping me remember.

I do have a question did you feed more grain at all
I have not fed any grain this summer. I do sometimes feed grain in really cold weather.
Here comes Ian!
I just prayed for rain, not a category 4 hurricane. lol.
I don’t think it’s going to help me, but I sure feel for the people it hurt.
