This confluence, is one of my favorite swimming places on earth.
I still have family living in Auburn.

When i was a teenager I dove into a pool on the north fork of the north fork of the American River. Even though it was June, snow was still melting. That water was so cold, i seriously thought I wasn't going to make it to the side, or be able to get out over the slippery rocks if i did. Fortunately, i did make it (obviously), but I was really scared.

Not true I’ve floated down with just swim trunks with the pit river tribe. They thought me how to float on my back and keep my head n feet out of the water it’s like sitting on a cloud suspended in air
100 years ago people crossed rivers, we’re so soft.
People drowned then too what are you even saying? The biggest problem with comments are they’re less than a few words that don’t make a point at all. Come up to where I stay and cross the river I dare you especially when it’s flowing hard after rains and snow. You’re so soft, water will tear you to shreds against sharp rocks.

I encourage people too stupid to recognize risk nor take adequate precautions to go for a swim. Usually they're: anti-vaxxers, trump supporters, religious, think the moon landing was fake, the earth is flat, etc, etc, etc,

Cannabis selection is unmatched, food quality and variety is incredible, there are all types of environments, microclimates, and types of terrain you can ask for. Huge Seqouia trees, Redwoods, Yosemite, Beaches, Gold Mining, Music, Art, and History. No shit the government sucks and a lot of things aren’t good here, but there are plenty of reasons.
Today is February 24th. I can go snow skiing this morning, and surfing this afternoon. Nowhere else in the country can I do that. I have 3 national parks, 11 national forests, and 2 national waterways. I can be watching the sun come up over Tahoe, and watch it set over the ocean. It's funny how all those who don't live here only think of what's bad about a place they've never been.
