What Aqua and Suisei needs is rotation and map knowledge when it comes to customs. If you watch any of these customs no one plays aggressive because youre guaranteed to get a 3rd party. This is why Astel had to tone down his playstyle because it doesnt work at full team custom lobbies.

It's still going to be rough considering it will be Aqua and Suisei's first competitive experience but I feel like this won't be their last tournament, once you get taste of competitive it's hard to stop.
Little bit more context: Suisei is really busy actually, but she normally have a strict line when she is streaming/working and when she is having private/leisure time. Normally she use the leisure time to read her mangas, etc. and never use it for work/stream/business related stuff. But for the upcoming tournament, Suisei is sacrificing her leisure time and use it to practice APEX.
Not only that Aqua overcome her shyness to join this tournament, she even chose one of the "scariest" and most straightforward/blunt holomembers, Suisei to be her teammate. Thats is great character development, Akutan. xD

You misunderstand. Aqua and Suisei are REALLY good friends. Suisei is up there with Subaru and Marine of extroverted people she's more comfortable with. They hang out a lot. There are plenty of off shoot stories of Aqua and Suisei hanging out together, as well as plenty of clips of them together. Although Suisei puts on a lot of pressure in some clips, Aqua always accepts Suisei.

As much as Suisei loves to jokingly pressure and tease Aqua, she has always had a soft spot for her going back even before their first couple of collabs so I'm not surprised this is her reasoning for joining.
I never played APEX but I love watching Towa, Matsuri, and Astel in tournament. This team is basically something APEX community never expected but always dreaming about. Towa, Aqua, and Suisei have around 3 million subs combined which made this team is the most popular in the history of tournament already. No matter the result is, I'm sure VSaikyou community is happy enough to see this team. To make it even better, we have Hoshikawa and Matsuri as a team! Also Astel and Roberu are playing as well. It is also nice to remember that Aqua and Suisei are both MarioKart champion in Hololive so we already know how competitive they are. They are going to prepare seriously for this tournament because both of them never did something half-heartedly. Always go all-in.

When i hear Suichan said that she accepted Aqua's invitation despite a very busy schedule after Aqua said that will be her first and last tournament and she wants to play with Comet knowing about her communicating problems... i almost got into tears of joy. Suichan is such a sweet and king girl and she highly appreciate Aqua's trust in her. It will be tough for them to practice cause busy schedule and communicating, but i hope they can improve as a team and perform well in a tournament. I also practicing with my team on tournament in Gunz The Duel and know exactly that is hard. They really need a lot of time to adjust teamwork, boost their skill and train their strategies to perfect.

Gosh I really have no interest in Apex whatsoever, I very occasionally watch it from the streamers I really like. But Aqua's journey in Apex is something I felt compelled to follow, it's been quite a rollercoaster of frustration and inspiration over the past year. The appearance in VSaikyou feels like grand parade for Aqua to top off last season's Master accomplishment. I know they want to take it very seriously and I do hope they get good results, but more than that I hope they can have lots of fun with it even if things don't go their way. I think that's something Suichan can help induce, being that she's less personally involved in competitive Apex.
More heartwarming than I was expecting of a team origin story. & I almost forgot, but at the end of one of Aqua & Suisei’s collabs, Suisei did half-jokingly-cutely ask Aqua if she’d play apeX with her in the future, to which Aqua did agree. However, if this is truly the end of Aqua’s apeX career, then this is the last chance to fulfill that promise.

If Hololive wins this, this will be the greatest win ever. Aqua is legit very good, but no-one else in Hololive seems to match with her unfortunately, but her asking Suisei is her recognizing her abilities. Even if they lose, this would be incredible to see how they fair with dedicated players.
The only other potential options are either already committed to other teams or cannot fit due to the point system restrictions; Aqua's been valued as 10 points (ShibuyaHAL evaluates Master/Predator rank values himself but from what I have seen in the past events most end up being 9, with only a few being kicked up/down beyond that, ex Matsuri is an underpriced Master at 8), which kinda limited the pool of options a lot more since with Towa, the captain with the actual invite to the tournament, they literally only have 3 points to spare for their 3rd person. Astel, probably the only other person in HoloPro of similar ability, was also in the same boat in that regard: he's also appraised as a 10-pointer, which locks him out of several of the skilled people he normally plays with. Astel petitioned to be re-evaluated and was granted a reduction down to 9 but is now required to play Mad Maggie only.

She used to be sh1t at the game but she grinded hard to become a champion and an existence feared by many in Mariokart. I think a tournament is just too much mental pressure on herself and let's not forget she's bad enough in communication so her joining itself was a surprise to everyone. She probably joined this one just as a one time experience, though if she enjoys it enough she might change her mind on it being the last.

The cost is decided at the moment the team is decided. Every rank up afterwards doesn't count (Towa also reached Dia3 after team was decided and still counts as Dia4)

I think a tournament is just too much mental pressure on herself and let's not forget she's bad enough in communication so her joining itself was a surprise to everyone. She probably joined this one just as a one time experience, though if she enjoys it enough she might change her mind on it being the last.
