Guys thanks for episode of Marco Baroni. It is what it is, I will maximum support Baroni and
saw some tactic analysis and he was very good at Verona vs Juve, Inter, Atalanta.....etc.
    I am quite excited.
But my most concerning is We have to open new cycle with good young quality players in mercato
but I doubt Fabiani's scouting and Lotitio's low cost stategy....
    Forza Lazio sempre❤

Wow, what a mess. I suppose the only positive is hearing the news that fans are starting to protest Lotito again. If I lived near Rome I would certainly be joining those. Unfortunately I live overseas and the only "protesting" I can do is in comment sections online. I've been saying for years that Lotito is like a cancer attached to our wonderful club. He's the reason for 20 years of mediocrity. Sure, there have been a few better season where we punched above our weight and had something to celebrate. But most of those have been recently, and imo only because we managed to luck into Luis Alberto and especially Ciro Immobile and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. NOBODY could have predicted that those players would have reached the level that they reached. Yet Lotito despite lucking into those players never really built a strong squad around them and took advantage. And that's the main issue with Lotito and his tenure as owner. He doesn't spend and doesn't show any ambition to get Lazio to the next level. He's content to be bouncing in between mid table and a Europe League side, with a rare UCL qualification once in a blue moon.
For me Baroni's appointment is laughable, but not surprising. And only proves my point regarding Lotito and his super cheap ways. Lotito wants to own a big Italian club, but he doesn't want to spend the money associated with owning a big Italian club. Let's be honest here. He hired Baroni because he sees him as a "yes man" who won't make any demands, won't have any transfer requests, and will simply get on with whatever rubbish bargain bin players that Lotito provides him with. This is why Sarri and Tudor left. They both showed too much ambition and understandably wanted to overhaul the squad to make Lazio more competitive. Which Lotito didn't want to fund. This despite qualifying for the UCL TWICE in the last 4-5 years and making the round of 16 both times AND despite selling SMS, Alberto and others. Which is a scary reality because it proves to us fans that even when the club is bringing in more money than usual, Lotito still won't spend it.
Again we are linked with rubbish players and bargain bin buys. Obscure names from your Salernitanas, Sassuolos and mid table Turkish clubs. And while I was very patient with Lotito after he took over Cragnotti especially the first decade....I am no longer patient. Enough is enough. It's been 20 years of this nonsense. Who is the biggest name this guy has brought in??? Probably a mid 30s Miroslav Klose. We have to remember Ciro and SMS were not highly touted when they came in. SMS was unknown player from the Belgian league I believe and Ciro had flopped at his 2 previous clubs before arriving in Lazio and resurrecting his career. Romagnonli has been a decent transfer name in recent seasons but that's mostly due to the fact he was a free transfer and a Lazio fan himself and probably willing to take a bit less to come to the club. We're not asking Lotito to rebuild the 1999/2000 side here. But one on par with clubs like Roma and Atalanta should be the minimum. Roma aren't a rich club either. Yet they show ambition and go after players like Dybala and Lukaku. Tammy Abraham and Paredes. Meanwhile we are going for names like Muriqi, Basic, Taty, Pellegrini, etc.
I'm not sure if the protests will help or not. I think the biggest protest of all would be if the local fans simply refused to go to the games and buy the merchandise. Maybe when the stadium is empty for a few weeks Lotito will rethink his approach to running this club or decide to sell. Because as of right now we are royally screwed, unless we luck out with some of these bargain bin transfers and by some miracle a few players turn into SMS or a Ciro...Otherwise we will struggle even maintaining a EL spot. Our talent pool has been seriously depleted both on a player and manager level. Obviously I will continue supporting the team as always, but I'm not filled with much optimism for the foreseeable future.
