Colourpop and their exaggerated value of their mystery boxes cracks me up😂😂.
It wasn't a bad box. I'm shocked there was no items from the Lizzie McGuire or Power Puff collections...but we need some recent eyeshadow palettes in these boxes. It's not like they don't have extras of their newer palettes.

I only just recently started buying Colourpop products. I ended up buying the last mystery box and this mystery box so I could test out a variety of products that I might end up not liking. I actually really love them, and it's really nice to see what you think of the products
I've learned that when they heavily discount items just make my own box. That being said I bought the 3 palettes for $15🤪

Note. Powder products like eyeshadow that is not sealed after manufacture starts its expiration date the day it is manufactured and not the day you open it for the first time. Those palettes are most definitely expired or about to be if they are trying to clear out old stock.
Well I did just open it-so maybe the clock starts now? But idk, just wanted to point out when I bought them long ago 🧡

I think when they say that value , they mean thats the whole retail value of the items , like before they went on sale! Stupid i known, but there prices change so much on there website , they’re probably just tossing in items from different bins that will end up being the total of 11, costing that amount of $118. I dont think they’re putting to much thought into it because they would be making so many boxes, but you get what you paid for and i guess the fun is the surprise and also would be fun gift for a young girl too! Im Canadian so I have yet been able to find any Colourpop around, but it looks fun though!

Its my understanding that they go by the retail price of what the item was before the discount. So if you figure up what each item costs before the sale price then it might equal up to the $118. Not sure but just a rumor that I had heard.
Either way, I’d wish they just go by the discounted price because they literally know they are putting discounted items in the box
@@AllieDawson Oh I agree cause I figured up all the items at the retail price other than the super shock eyeshadow and it came up to $101. So I am pretty sure once you add everything in you hit the $118 price point.
Colourpop did have a sale recently where you could buy three 9 pan palettes for $15, but it was a mystery box.

I don't do them anymore because 10 out of 10 disappoint me 😂. I wish that wasn't the case. Its pretty hard to disappoint on a mystery box triple the value but its clearance crap.. if we wanted it.. we would buy it. Or it should be put in at sale price value.. like truly hook your customers up.

My fear is getting EXACT palettes I got my Last Mystery Box (my 1st ever). Whatever volume i got?? You did too!!😅yes that dark RED Super Shock Blush was called “Just Playin” My 1ST 💭 was I would not wear THAT .. even IF I was “Just playin..” this morning I did a 2nd look @it to see was it really that Hideous?? I got this because I haven’t bought from Colourpop in so long so I was hoping to try some of their « new » old products. I already have all those palettes, so it’s a bit of a disappointment, can’t lie.

Thoughts? Okay, it's really frustrating that the MSRP thing is totally legal because like you said, this box has value. That's less than 5 bucks an item average! Why don't they go with that? It feels manipulative and I totally get how marketing works but the way Colourpop markets the mystery boxes leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Idk why they don’t just go with the discounted value. Because either way, it’s still a good value when comparing how many items you got vs what you paid. I’ll never get why they do it lol

Its not a good value if a person already has the palettes or they are getting potentially expired palettes from 6 years ago.
That is very true-however if the person doesn’t own anything and maybe if the palettes were okay (if not expired) then it is a good value if you look at it that way
I believe colourpop manufacturers their own products in-house. Maybe the packaging is an older version, but the products aren't expired. 🤷♀️
