Die hard golfer here. Slightly torturous, I have only had the pleasure of seeing shadow creek from the club house. A service trade worker I only get to salivate at the sight and imagine what if…. Looks amazing. Thanks for sharing.
You are not wrong, I do have a bit extra movement in my swing that I always try to work on and improve, but I'm a feel player and you're right I do have a good clubface awareness which helps me score well
I golfed SC once. My MGM Grand casino host hooked me and a business partner up back in 2019. I birdie'd the 8th hole. I remember the beauty of the t-shot to this day. Great course!
Yup this was a bucket list course for sure! I’ve always have golfed but not till about 5 years ago took it more serious. Caught the bug then and it hasn’t left. I played here two years ago (may 2022) because of a music fest was that time too (punk rock bowling). Definitely bring your wallet but it’s worth the price of admission (and I’m Canadian so it’s even more expensive). This and Banff springs are my top two (visual) courses.
Having walked this course 6 times (walking scorer for the LPGA match play), I can attest to it being a real beauty of a course (but a TOUGH walk!). Saving my money for the bucket list golf trip to Scotland in 2025!
@@cyruspga Can't wait for that! The physical training has begun ... the golf can use a lot of work, but I plan on surviving on the vibes of being in home of golf!
Great channel! Looks like you have played some amazing course over the years. Question - Take away all the history and prestige of every course, what is your all-time favorite course?
Awesome question Jason! Favorite course all time...wow what a question...it actually might be Hamilton Golf &CC outside of Toronto. It absolutely incredible...all 27 holes are simply amazing and as soon as I finished I said this is the course I would love to join and play every day
thanks Lucas! It was surreal...I was actually hitting the ball sooo good! My driver was amazing all day, but couldn't read a putt to save my life, then that birdie miss from 3ft, argh that hurt so bad, but in golf, have to stay patient and I knew I could break through, to go 3 under on last two was a great memory! Thanks for watching the video man!
Shadow Creek is worth every penny. It's 18 signature holes and #17 being my favorite. You didn't really get to see how beautiful it is in the video. I've player Pebble Beach (made wonderful by it's history) Cypress Point "The Point" in Pebble is an absolutely marvelous track. I've also played San Francisco GC IN San Fran and what a treat that is! And lastly I played the Olympic Club, which is awesome! But there's just something about Shadow Creek that's just stood out. Not sure why. But it's a treat and plus like what was said: you can play that course if you want to pay for it unlike the other courses I mentioned. Go play it!!
Awesome comment! So glad you enjoyed your SC experience, 17 is an absolute gem but I honestly love everything about the course, the whole experience is first class for sure!
Nice ball striking....seems like you get across the line at the top then sling it back on plane....nice consistent move....do you rate shadow higher than cascsta?
I do, but of a quirky move at the top, but I just focus on my impact position and short game...putting was so poor in this video..but all good! Had a blast....Yes Shadow hands down is the best course in Vegas and nothing is even remotely close....I would put Southern Highlands 2nd best....Summit Club is really nice conditions probably 3rd....but I love Cascata too! Made a full vlog there too: ua-cam.com/video/W421zMBdNX4/v-deo.html
I was lucky enough to play here a few years back with my father. The course was magnificent but honestly my favorite part was being in the locker room with names on them like "Alex Rodriguez, President Bush, President Obama, Sylvester Stallone, Derek Jeter" and the list went on. That was really cool. And also only being allowed to arrive and leave via limousine felt pretty cool.
You have a good swing. I am never going to pay $1000 for a round but for Augusta. I would wager they charge way less to not be gaudy. Perhaps if i had a special night on the tables, but even then ? I played St Andrews old course back in 1988. We were on a rugby tour of Great Britain. We stopped the team bus right in front of the course. It was the only 2 days off we had for the 23 day tour, no practise no game which meant many Guiness were consumed. Four of us wondered down to the starters hut and asked for a time the next day, thinking there was no chance. We were wearing our tour number ones with the team crest on the breast pocket. I think that helped. It was the third week of April and we got a 12.30 tee time. Come tee time the next day it was unseasonably warm at 13 or 14 degrees or about 60 on the farenhight scale. A ten to 15 mile an hour breeze. My best friend wore his Scottish Dalziel kilt. For some reason they pronounce his name DL. He knew this because of his Scottish heratige. As soon as we got in Scotland he introduced himself to everybody. Hello my name is Rush DL. Rush is his given fiirst name a very Scottish name, and very cool. As you would know the first tee shot is very inviting. The hole plays 360 yards apx and as long as you keep it left you have a 200 yard wide Fairway. There is a small burn that meanders across the fairway and right in front of the first hole. Its maybe 3 to 5 yards short of the green and only 5 feet wide. I still remember the 1st like it was yesterday and i am 62 now. The first three of our four ball put it in the burn i clubbed up to a nine and the ball landed 2 feet short rolled by a foot and spun back to two inches. Wow this course is easy haha. I went out in 39 and came home in 46 for an 85. I like Jack, and Bobby Jones, got tangled in the hell bunker and took an 8. I did par the 17th the road hole. The disclaimer it plays as a par 5 for us mortals. We all got to the 18th green in 2 or 3 shots. My buddy Rush hit over the back onto a steep rise right behind the green. Lucky the rough was far thicker there than anywhere else on the course or he would have been OB. He drew a dreadful lie it would have been for me. He loves to hit flop shots even when it isn't really required, and he is good at it. Just as we got on the 18th green a tour bus of middle age folks disembarked, there must have been 40 of them. There was also a good number of people wondering around. There were town folk walking their dogs, more tourists and some members watching from the clubhouse balconies. I bet out of no where and in no time there was now 80 to 100 people. I putted first from 30 feet, nice two put for par. Now it was Rush's turn. He had a pretty steep downhill lie and was only 25 feet from the hole. Barried in a thick damp patch of tangely rough. It can really shut down the face if your not careful. In his kilt which of course was a hit with the gallery. He took a very wide stance and took a driver swing. The ball came out perfectly. He managed to get the ball up high off the downhill lie. It landed 10 feet short took a little break to the left and went right in the middle of the cup for birdie. During our rugby tour we played against some of the best clubs in Great Britain. These are big clubs so every game had a good crowd say 3000 to 10,000 fans at our last game. A sold out small stadium it felt like the fans were sitting on top of us it was so cool. When Rush's ball went in the hole there was a huge roar from the on lookers. It wasnt, but at the time it seemed as loud as one od our games. I could see Rush was blushing. What a great memory for the four of us. It was a James Bond moment for Mr DL. I hope you enjoyed my best golf memory. Once again you look like a real stick. I bet a scratch or plus one. Cheers and i gave you a thumbs up 😊

@@cyruspga I'm merely name those courses as an example, but... Bandon Dunes is rated #2 in the US for public golf. Their green fee for non-resort guests $390.
