YES!! Nekusar for the win! That's what I'm talking about! I have all the same cards in my nekusar deck as Chris's except I don't have a grixis obelisk or a mind stone in my deck.
@@herman1850 No problem! Essentially what happens is that the psychosis crawler would only die if you have 0 cards in hand the next time state based actions are checked and that isn't until after the resolution if the spell. By that point you've already drawn the new hand. Hope that helps!
Hey there! Good question. So "fetch lands" can be used in decks regardless of a commander's color identity. They don't represent a specific color, nor do the showcase any mana pips. All lands are colorless. In this case, verdant catacombs being used in a grixis colored deck would be able to find a swamp type land. The fact that it can find a forest doesn't matter. And the fact that verdant catacombs has literal green on the card doesn't matter either. Hope this helps! Not sure if I explained it in the best way lol.
Nekusar!!!!! Before the game even starts, I should say my Nekusar wheels has been my one of my most hated decks I've ever made, like right when he came out. its still in existence. I love it. Edit to say: now you know not to sleep on nekusar! It's just damage for drawing and megrim effects and wheel wheel wheel.
When you guys have such short games, I’d definitely be interested in having two or more games in a video!
Nekusar popped off there. GGs
Both of Cabaretti Ascendancy effects are may one, so Kovacs didn't need to put land to the bottom.
Oh good point! Looks like we didn’t see that second “may” on there. Helps when you read the card I guess
Well edited! It's a shame 2 players didn't get to do much. Though it is nice to have a short video to watch, 9 minutes is so easy to commit to.

As a hidden nekusar player, you kill him first lol. Anhelo is actually the commander of my Grixis wheels deck
Really like your videos, + the Meatloaf cameos are fantastic

Doesn't psychosis crawler die when you discard all your cards? Its toughness is equal to your cards in hand, so before you draw that's 0.
They are drawn and discarded as a single effect, I don’t think there’s ever a point where the hand is truly empty as far as I know
@@adrianmetz3013 Interesting. I left it out of my draw/discard decks for that reason. Maybe time to put it back in.

@@adrianmetz3013 it does, actually. Thanks!
Why does the grixis deck have a verdant catacombs
